  • Up Sanusi. Privatize refineries. GO Sanusi.

  • eliminate duties for fuel efficient vehicles.

  • Every Nigerian can buy a bus pass at subsidized rate.

  • I wonder how many Nigerians have seen this debate. Cut government spending.

  • Up Ben Bruce, You should run for the President of Nigeria.

  • disband nnpc and sell the refineries in nigeria to private corporation. give oil royalties to oil producing states and allocate the balance to social security to feed the elderly and children.

  • the nysc guy aptly personifies the state of our education in Nigeria, he is obviously intelligent but still cannot articulate his views properly

  • If you wanna skip past the intros, go to 17:42 =]

(The announcer's insistence on ending nearly every phrase with an upward inflection was funny at first, then it started to grate a little...)

  • anyone notice Diezani's all seeing eye top?

  • There wan't enough diversity of opinion. There should have been someone on stage slapping the officials the way regular people want to. Half of the people up there will be enriched when prices shoot up.

  • Look at these BIG..........................FOOLS as one earlier said that "Talk is cheap". Also action speak louder than voice, this is really true. Fight corruption, cut down your salaries especially politicians and political oppointees before creepling the country's economy to enriched your family with. U may search the following "A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT NIGERIAN SENATORS EARN". And u may also delete it from the site if u find it offensive.

  • IF you have watched and understood all what has been said from a common sense, empathetic and intellectual point of view and still insist on comments such as made below.. You are letting yourself down as nothing more than an air head. I was against the subsidy before this now i am open and am lending this government the benefit of the doubt to carry on ahead and will judge their actions at an appropriate time....That is all we can do at this point

  • Then came Isa Aremu with a complimentary punch to the daze from Olisa's punch. Well spoken and intelligent. I was like wow when Sanusi came up, was like a lecturer lecturing students. I didn't think Sanusi was an Hausa man until he said he was from Kano. First time I have seen an hausa man speak Good English without the trace of the heavy accent. Wow if only all Hausas could speak like Sanusi but coming back to the argument.

  • What I understood from Ngozi's presentation is that she was indirectly trying to say that they want to raise the inflation rate keeping all else constant in Nigeria. Which means if the average Nigerian family manages to eat 2 and 1/4 meals a day, they want to cut it down to 1 and 1/4. I clearly see that this policy is aimed at de-populating Nigeria so the higher ups can enjoy the resources. Smells like the handiwork of the Illuminati who own the IMF and who's goal is world de-population.

  • @ndu1gaza confirmed

  • Gangsters...

  • If you remove subsidy, are you going to increase salaries for the people who make minimum or low wages to meet up with the inflation that the removal will bring? Same as to the multitude who survive on mere hawking and other low scale trades? Else expect people to turn to robberies and all sort of things to survive. What is in place for poor citizens to survive?

  • Fuck that population shit...the amount our country makes is enough for us to live better than we are living....

  • I understand Ngozi is comparing populations of Saudis, Kuwait to Nigeria, but like all Nigerians have said remove corruption and all other things will fall in place. Monitor funds that are diverted to personal pockets to achieve projects such as roads, lights and healthcare. Talk is cheap. Just like she said, I do not trust anything she says nor do I trust any government officials.

  • sanusi is a Nazi......Iweala is illuminati

  • @leaderofnow Why don't you articulate reason for mentioning the obvious!

  • @leaderofnow EXACTLY, U'R SO RIT, THEY AR ALL ANTI-CHRIST;BLOOD SUCKING DEMONS, INCLUDING THEIR PRESIDENT-BADLUCK JONATHAN!!!

  • @leaderofnow U'R SO RIT, THEY'RE THE ANTI-CHRIST, BLOOD SUCKING DEMONS, AND THEIR PRESIDENT TOO -BADLUCK JONATHAN!!!

  • Here we go four hours of my life to this...hope I learn more than how politicisns use euphimisms to mislead us

  • Nonsense...big fools!

  • @nikkycares4u THEY ARE NOT JST BIG FOOLS, THEY'R THE WORD ''FOOLS'' ITSELF!!! BASTARDS THATZ WHAT THEY AR ALSO!!!

  • Nigeria Government you have much in your own country if you just fund workers to drill it instead of keeping your people poor. You will be one of the richest countries by 2015 if you create those jobs.

  • What percentage of the Nigerian budget is stolen by corrupt politicians in government?

  • These pple supose to have been killed long ago by the military ,but bcos they were all thieves ,that is y we can still leave to lie to us ,what is this yeye woman talking about as if she was not part of obasanjo govt that full of lies

  • I bet Most people making derogatory comments here have either not taken time to watch this video full lenght or are hasty to jump into conclusions! I believe in this forum & if all including Okonjo, Sanusi, Adams, Ben Bruce, the pragmatic Femi Falana & other well meaning Nigerians will follow up on this discussion, govt on its part embarks on implementation of proposed action plans with erudite transparency, Nigeria will well be on her way to significant +ve reformation over the coming months!

  • gosh i wasted my God free giving time watching dis

  • YOU PEOPLE IN POWER MAKE THE MASSES POOR! WE NIGERIANS ARE NOT LAZY!

  • IF YOU CAN NOT PERFORM IN POWER RESIGN! WE HAVE GOOD HEADS THAT READY TO FIX THE PROBLEM! ALL OF YOU THIEVES!

  • EKE N BEKE SORO, IRO N PARO FUNRO! ALL OF THEM ARE LIAR!

  • this meeting is sucks

  • somebody should go there were they are gathered and bomb all of them, let no one escape from that hall, well God will judge u morons

  • @mikejoevin Talking like a terrorist doesn't accomplish anything only that it makes government and media right about what they say. Please, Stand Strong in Unity and don't stop till it breaks them to give what the people want.

  • Look at our Roads ,Hospitals..no water,no Electricity..people are dying for no reason..they travel abroad you get quality health services and enjoy good life..BOKO HARAMS...you Guys are killing the whole nations with lies.

  • I cant wait for these ignorant bastards to be brought down - they are the biggest bunch of arrogant, shameless fools i have ever had the misfortune of listening to in my life.

  • Awwu chineke.....i jst wasted my precious time listening to these bunch of cows..useless shameless Animals

  • @nikkycares4u YES U'R RIT THEY ALL COWS!!!

  • The same way the petrol is diverted and our blind government cannot stop it, the same way our refineries are being compromised, the same Boko-haram is killing Christians and nothing is being done, Mrs Okonjo-iweala you want me to believe that this same money you are talking about will not be re diverted to the pockets of the same people who are stealing our money, i am sorry i have lost confidence in Nigerian government, and removing the fuel subsidy and promising me a better life aint working

  • The Recognition of dignitaries was very unnecessary ,For Gods sake i thought we have a government and you tell me fuel is being diverted , stop the conversion for Gods sake , your are the governmemt.

  • After watching this video, it was really difficult for me to call it a debate, for it lacked the vibrancy of one, and the whole schema seemed to be in deference to the Representatives of the State, as opposed to a balanced and objective public discourse.

    • Each of the Government officials had more speaking time on a number of occasions, while each of the Civil Society speakers spoke for less time, and only once.

    • The Media group asked questions seeking only the State response.

  • forget debate just remove the govt by force like tunisia

  • Mrs. Okonjo Iweala, it took me 2 years after GSM arrived in Nigeria to get a mobile phone. Tell me, do I wait in my house for 2 years waiting for fuel prices to reflect the benefits of deregulation?

  • Sanusi! Why do you refer to government like this benevolent Lord?! When you say the government cannot continue to subsidise fuel, does the government own the money? This is taxpayer's money, so don't go talking like the money came out of your pocket or GEJ's pocket!

And how about this for an economic argument: A 100% increase in fuel prices distorts individual budgets all over Nigeria. That's simple microeconomics Mr. Sanusi! And I, unlike you, am not even a student of economics.

  • Amidst all these heat in Nigeria why is Obj silent?

  • @jaygald Please let him remain silent, I for one would not want to hear from him. He was at d helm for 10 years, what did he accomplish..., absolutely NOTHING!!.

  • • The US, almost d size of Africa with about 500million people have 24 ministers, and 32 govt parastatals and commisions, Nigeria has 42 cabinet ministers, and over 50 government parastatals!

    • America with about 500million people and more mileage to drive consumes 39million litres of petrol daily, Nigeria with 150million people 60% out of which live in remote areas, yet our govt tells us we consume about 35million ltrs of petrol daily!

IS SUBSIDY REALLY THE PROBLEM OF NIGERIA?

    say sth else

  • American President has only 2 aircraft, GEJ has 9in his fleet and voted money recently to buy 1 more! The BP Min. has only 2 official cars, GEJ has 23 in his pool and only recently voted 300m to buy 2 more bullet/bomb proof ones! Sen in US earn about$6,000 dolls mnthly and dats abt what a Uni prof, a director in a state dept, or a doc wt 20yrs experience, but in Nigeria a senator earns245million Naira per annum!

  • The amount saved from fuel subsidy will be embezzled by the politicians and that has always been the problem. Fuel subsidy trickles down to the masses.

  • If we can organize and mobilize like this ( the OCCUPY movement ) against corruption which is d #1 issue keeping 9ja from becoming a great nation, then we will root out the looters!!. Let us demand ACCOUNTABILITY thru PROSECUTION.

  • Since Ngozi Iweala is comparing and contrasting, perhaps she should also tell us what herself, the parliamentarians earn compare to their counterparts abroad. Say in Togo and Benin?

  • nonsense debate! too much rhetoric. only Lamido Sanusi and Ben Bruce make sense

  • Ngozi Iweala is being economical with the truth. Nigeria deregulated the telecomms industry and Nigerians can now boast of a lot of GSM phones. Well the truth is, lack land lines in Nigeria has made it even harder for Nigerian to connect to fast bband.

So it comes back the fact that govts have failed Nigns and GSM is just a token benefit. Nig enjoys GSM but would find internet connection difficult without landlines!

I don't care what she said, cut cost of governance instead of subsidy!

  • stupid bunch of foolish liers

  • Bunch of liars!

  • Deal with cabal indeed. I'm sick and tired of this labyrinth of deceit called Nigeria.

  • My fellow Nigerians.....Abeg hear me out o!!.

It just my lame man terms opinion!!!!!!!,

Why don't we approach this problem from different angle, so that it will not only be the masses that will suffer this time around?

    CONT....

  • As we all know, the Government will not do anything about the cabals as they have all already wined, dined, sold their souls, morals and dignity to the cabals empire.

Let's assume that we cannot recover all the money that has already been embezzled by this cactus of criminals. If this Government is for the masses as they claimed, they should prove to us that they are ready to suffer with us until we achieve getting our refineries back to working conditions 1 at a time.

    CONT.....

  • I propose that GEJ should put a halt just 4 a year! to d importation of refined products (hence no need 4 subsidy to both d masses and the carbals) just 4 one year o. And also no exportation of crude oil (hence reduced govt embezzlement funds).

If d only refinery working at d moment is truly producing 2.8 million Barrels a day, let us all adjust and downsize our already low living standards a little bit lower n use alternative methods to manage our little resources (just for 1 year o)

    CONT..

  • i.e we use our pmg for transportation mostly.(just for 1 year) and alternative methods for everything else.....By so doing, this govt will be able to use the budget allowance for fuel subsidy of 2012 can be conveniently used to repair all our 3 refineries even within the year if extra effort is put in, so by the end of the year, our flow of refined products will increase gradually and we can then adjust accordingly (I believe this also was how the western world achieved there goals also)

    Cont.

  • This also means that jobs will be created in almost all d sectors of industry across d board as extra pressure 'll be on them to generate d loss of income 4 d economy.

I know it's easier said than done but we r strong will determined people n I believe a little sacrifice 2day can build a better future 4 our next generation 2 come.

REMEMBER NO SUCCESS WITHOUT HARD WORK..We r d only 1's who can shape Nigeria to be good, better or best.

THE LORD IS OUR STENGTH.!!!!....but the struggle continues.

  • SMG; Subsidy Must Go

  • ngozi is talking crap,u cn sense the lies in her tone.

  • Ai dt yoruba man is peak . hat doffed

  • A lie ben bruce knows what he is doing

  • Sanusi is a legend i am for subsidy but yeah he has got points.

  • Our crude oil production per day is 2.5 million barrels. The current price is $113/barrel. Therefore we make a daily sales of 2.5m x 113= $28.5million. This means monthly sales= 28.2 x 30 (days) = 8.475billion. This also means that a yearly sale of 8.475billion x 12 = 101.7billion. In NGN, 101.7billion x N160= N16.272 trillion per year! Let him tell us where the surplus is going.

  • Minister of petroleum resources diverted from the question being asked by John Momoh: "Why is it difficult to bring to book the cabals?"

  • Okonjo Iweala: Hear yourself out at exactly 2hrs:42mins..."its a question of time to block the loopholes of government" and not a question of time to impose unpopular policy on the masses?

  • listen well please

  • Very informative, loved it. Thanks for sharing. Please next time, get a professional journalist to moderate the event and not Nduka. I hope we will continue to have more conversations like this. Isa Aremu should take it easy. He appeared arrogant to me. He doesn't look different from those in govt. I enjoyed the dialogue. Thanks

  • i love Ben Bruce

  • what is Ngozi analyzing? can she even see the nonsense she is projecting....deceivers

  • over one hr to introduce all these foul heads fools

  • stop falling to their devisive tricks..were is the ultimate waste comming from? is it not govt!

all the money spent in the budget since 1964 have u seen any of it in the eduction sector? health sector, security or power? no u will never see it instead all u will see is total waste in thstate and fed house of assembles 20 official cars and 50 houses etc inflated contrancts and pure curruption

  • I think you guys should discuss how to dismantle this hell hole called Nigeria. The shit country is irredeemable.

  • revolution i support Gbam!!!

  • I don\t blem you Diezani Madueke you are getting you National cake, so what elas will you say IDIOT!!

  • ADAMS OSHOMOLE FOR PRESIDENT,JUST GIVE HIM THE CHANCE,LESS OYIBO TALK.WE NEED ACTIONS.OSHOMOLE CAN TURN ROUND THE COUNTRY TOWARDS PROGRESS.

  • IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!

  • Sanusi are you talking about trying the subsidy to see if it will be a good? People are poor and need to buy fuel to survive, so where do you want them to get the money to buy fuel at that cost you are planning now?

  • In 2010, 2.8 million litres of PMS were refined averagely per day in NNPC (Local Refining). Are we paying subsidies on that also? Yes, it must be because if not, then Mrs DAM still has more explanations to make on how 1.134 trillion was spent on subsidy when 2.8 million liters per day is domestic refining. Doing a quick calculation reveals that 76 billion naira is the amount of subsidy paid on UNSUBSIDIZED domestically refined fuel.(WE NEED THESE PEOPLE BOMBED IN THEIR NEXT CONFERENCE )

  • I'm overly surprised that Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote sat through the entire debate without uttering a single word, but then, they are hugely the beneficiary's.

  • Give you a chance? how many time will you idiot beg us to give you a chance Ngize,

  • God bless you Ben, un see that Oyibo brian different? yeye!! Nigerians!!!

  • You guy are talking prat, every Nigerian should be given one million each after that let go on with fuel subsidy, Idiot

  • I AM OVER 40YRS OLD AND I AM TIRED OF ALL THE CONSTANT PROMISE......ENOUGH ALREADY. THAT EXTRA MONEY AS USUAL WILL GO TOWARDS NEW CARS AND HOUSES ABROAD FOR THE ELITE FEW WHILE THE MASSES DIE FROM HUNGER DESCEND FURTHER INTO ABJECT POVERTY. CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA IS A CONSTANT

  • @vaneesa dont be a fool, the govt does not exist to sustain itself. The people provide the capital that they spend. How can th government justify spending soooo much on itself comon wake up or are you a government minister

  • Wow that was alot to digest but HIGHLY recommended. Please watch this video so you have the FACTS about what is really going on... 72% of the government BUDGET goes to "recurrent GOVERNMENT expenditures" ! Only 28% goes to CAPITAL (the people)! This Oil subsidy that we are talking about is included in the 28% ! LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD! How dear you ask the poor in Nigeria to suffer on your behalf!

  • May Almighty God punish you and your generations till the end of time !!!

  • Nincompoop, international goats, assorted animals, God will punish all of you criminals. If I wanted an Economics lecture, I know where to get one, definitely not from Sanusi. Who is subsiding who?

Sanusi is telling us that the government is fraudulent, we all know that. We want to know how you all are going to forfeit your month's salary and help the country's debt.

Give us electricity, good roads, and water. These are amenities that even the poorest countries in Europe have.

    FELA ROCKS

  • Adams Oshiomhole for President!

  • Lets do the Math: 1 gallon = 3.7 liters 1 gallon = $3.45 1 liter = N150 $1 = N150 Therefore, In U.S.A, 1 gallon = $3.45 = N517.50 In Nigeria, 1 gallon = 3.7 liters = N555.00 Remember, minimum wage in America is $7.75 per hour = N1162.50 In Nigeria, minimum wage is N18,000 per month (even though not paid) Why the hell should Nigerians, a third world country pay more for gas than Americans? God will punish all our leaders pushing for subsidy.
  • Did you guys even watch the debate? DID YOU NOT HEAR THAT THEY ARE TAKING NIGERIA'S FUEL TO NIGER? SOMETHING THE GOVERNMENT ALREADY PAID FOR? Come on guys.. no need to insult anyone here! Fuel subsidy removal is good.. it is just that it was one the wrong way. for things to get better in our country we must suffer first!

  • Can´t they raise the money they need among themselves? Afterall they earn billions

  • this okonjo iweala is one of our wicked selfish but affluent well educated (harvard) CV filled (former MD of World Bank) politicians in Nigeria, was it not when she was also in power during the Obasanjo term that the fuel price went up too? yes she did something positive dat time by helping to clear the debt, now she's back again into d finance realm and she is dictating bullshit, when she doesnt have a clue what suffering is like huh

  • look at all of them ugly faces

  • Power generation projects? What nonsense. How about power transmission and distribution. If you generate and don't know who you're distributing to, who are you fooling? How many properties are there in Nigeria? Where are they located? What is their consumption capacity? NIGERIA, WAKE UP. Nigeria will generate power is not enough. You need a detailed Process Management in place, if you must move Nigeria forward.

Stop the wastage in all these White Elephant projects.

  • "We will repair roads, build bridges and hospitals" Same old story. Be specific. Tell us "we will build an interstate highway from Sokoto to Lagos in 18 months. We will build another road from Kwara to Yola". What about Benin/Ore road? Be specific, stupid. Stop the generalization. We are not fools.

  • SOLUTION: with all ideology and intelligence displayed, the only solution is to crush the CABALS, this can be done either by honest military man (which is had to find) or revolution.

  • What nonsense. Spending all day 'recognising' idiots, even the wife of CBN Governor. Thats the problem with Nigeria. These idiots need to be tied to the stake and shot to death.

  • God help us

  • GEJ needs to show us that he is sincere by slashing all their stupid overheads, NASS allowances for sitting twice in a week!!! and also the governors security votes that transfer to nothing. No one will be seeing all these and see reasons with the government. He who wants equity should come with clean hands. Why is the NASS president paid 88 million in a month? For doing what? For no obvious productivity after rigging elections. GEJ meant well in all sincerity but show examples please

  • In reality, I support the removal of subsidy, but one thing that needs to be clarified is that we have been short changed severally, promises without deliverance. For Oshiomole to say that the challenges GEJ government is facing is new is being economical with the truth. These challenges has been there from time immemorial but the previous government has never gone this far to explain the challenges.

  • na waoooh, pls, we need to improve on certain things. watching this film, l say naija factor in every aspect. pls we should grow. The standard is poor- the viewer is not suppose to see the camera men. They somehow become element of distraction behind the stage. The zooming sound seems to be from generator. must it be...... we are trying, but l am not impressed.

another naija factor is the distraction of self praise......... all the same, it is informative.

  • oshiomole is a disgrace to labour. he is in state house now. he cant reason properly. He shud realise that he has failled to be mentor of many nigerians. Events after this will judge him for his utterance, he shud not come out of edo state for life . bcos people will stone him. he joined the cabal to be telling BIG LIES......God will save Nigeria frm them wheither they like it or not

  • Sanusi, makes me laugh, Mr. Sanusi, if you steal oil in Saudi Arabia, your hands will be cut off thats why they dong smuggle in Saudi Arbia. So if you know about all this fraud, why dont you go after these people, Mr. Sanusi? Mr. Sanusi, Naira is 160 to a $ today because IMF told you to devalue naira, end of story!

  • Nice try with the comparison with telecom. Phone is not a necessity. There are lots of people without phone, people lives don not depend on gsm. Nitel was not subsidised, couldnt be subsidised if we wanted to .. what a bunch of BS.

  • Its going to take at least 18 months to fix refineries, why can't we wait 18 months before removing the subsidy? If one have 5 children and food is always missing and he/she knows who'd been stealing the food, do you lock up the food to starve all the kids or punish the kid who's been stealing the food?

  • Femi Falana is an amazing man very dynamic.

  • Good debate, after watching this 4 hour debate, it was worth the while. Thanks to all participants. now here is my informed conclusion. SUBSIDY must go. but our representatives must lead by example. The President and Reps must take a doctor's scaple and slash up all those allowances they are getting. Imagine 25% to service our rep's salaries, bring all those vagabonds bleeding us to death to books. Aluta Continua, Victoria Acerta

  • B4 removing subsidy, we must diversify! (1) Industries dat provide alternative sources of energy @ a cheaper or competitive rate shd b in place: Solar, Wind, Water, etc... (2) ZERO tolerance on corruption @ d Local, State & National levels must b seen 2b gaining grounds... (3) GEJ must carry out a patient & an elaborate campaign on d need 4d subsidy removal. He must make his case known - thoroughly & listen 2what d general public has to say... This is a sensitive matter. We must not rush it!!

  • The present crisis shd be a wake-up call for us to stop being too reliant on crude oil. We must diversify: Agriculture, Science & Technology, Tourism, etc, etc. We must wean ourselves off oil. However, in the interim, subsidy shd stay. The govt doesn't need to get more money from subsidy removal in order to move the country fwd. What tangible things has it done w/ d money it's been getting? "He that is faithful in little shall be faithful in much."

  • god kill all this bastard........

  • I am loving this civil discuss. Thanks to all the participants. Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta. We shall overcome.

  • The subsidy in 2011 amounted to roughly $8billion, about 4% on G.D.P, that's money that can be put to better use!. The programs enumerated by Mrs Okonji r indeed worthy ones that will have lasting implications 4 every Nigerian. So the onus then is on Nigerians particularly the PRESS to hold this govt accountable.

A phase-in removal approach is not entirely unreasonable, so instead of doing it all at once, why not in quarterly (25%) increments, so that ppl r more able to absorb d shock.

  • @emecca123 u be thief ole. go and die with ur euro inspired market bullshit. we dont need such. free markets cant exist without government. y not deregulate the salaries of the ministers and president and others in power. stop kissing white man yansh by parroting their useless failed theories. abeg go and listen to every fela song u can get ur hands on.

  • how can ppl absorb the shock of increment if their barely paying for the current price,ur either an aristocrat of u either live abroad cos your comments are very insensitive to the nigerian phsyche.

  • @emecca123, you believe these thieves..the money from excess crude, increase in fuel all these years, even when Ngozi was finance minister, what did they use the money for and still we do not have ELECTRICITY.

  • @Seaman0162 U know, this strikes me as an unprecedented OPEN conversation about 9jas' dirty laundry, which included govt officials taking onus 4 their ineptness. And so these ppl r on record 4 d world 2 c. like Mrs Okonjo said, reversing decades of corruption is not an easy task, because there r those fighting tooth and nail to keep d status quo. Now if she or anyone broke d law let d PRESS ask ?s, bring d evidence 2 d justice dept, and demand prosecution. Adams Oshomole said it best.

  • We need to DEREGULATE our legislooters and senators compensation package. How can each of them be earning 4 times the salary package of the US president, while we are not bigger than the size of the state of TEXAS in the US. laakuuli jalailu

  • It is terrible that we are thinking of SUBSIDY. why are we importing????? in the first place. Madam NOI is just an academician. during the time of Mr Tam David West we produced and refined our own oil, therefore, it is the importers who are sabotaging our oil refineries, fix our refineries. During Buhari's time our refineries were producing at capacity, they were well maintained, Fix the leaks in the supply chain. those who import, obtain the subsidy and turn around and take the product out.

  • To all d cynics, ur cynicism is not entirely out of bounce per say. But I think that at some point we as Nigerians' will have to start giving our elected officials d benefit of d doubt, give 'em a chance at d very least to let u down, they just might surprise u and do otherwise.

If we r cynical to d point that we r not willing to give anyone a chance, then we stand d real risk of missing ppl with good intentions, and being 4ever doomed.

  • I am now convinced that Ngozi Okonjo Iwela is from LalaLAnd..........imagine her saying that the money would be used to provide infrastructure..as if Nigeria's lack of development is as a result of subsidy. ..DAMN!!! and the IDIOT nigerians are applauding her. when she did not even mention corruption as the errosion....

    THis countyr is messed up

  • This is excellent sacrifice on the part of all those present and especially those involved with the planning .Dialogue is the mark of a great civilization . This is one thing that wouldnt have happened under a military governance . I expect more of this kind of meeting where the people can be able to express theemselves thereby enlightening the masses . Thats the way forward. Now at least we know there are rogues that need to be fished out

  • Our Finance Minister is Brilliant, Wallahi she is innocent, But Nigerian government is corrupt, we need to deal with corruption first.

  • @ twenty38 i totally agree with u.whose responsibility it is to check corruption & smuggling??? The govt of cos...They should first rid the system of corruption, refurbished old or build new refineries, improve our local productions & provide the basic amenities such as creation of jobs, electricity, water, good roads & transportation networks b4 they can talk of this so called subsidy removal policies....FULL STOP!!!

  • Thank you Sanusi for letting us know that you guys in govt are not competent. Why can't you fight corruption, clean up the system and start executing your programs for all Nigerians to see before you start reducing the subsidy. Don't you know that you are creating opportunities for new cabal if you carry-on with this your cruel plan.

  • femi falana made a lot of verbal sense..but what is that to suffering nigerians..?
