  • Very strong squatting Kevin. I don't like the way you dropped the last inch or so onto the box (you can see me doing that in one of my vids too, although only with 551 and with shitty music in the background...). Do you find it hurts your back and/or shoulders doing that?

Neither one of us has ever referenced use one way or the other. the only comment made was in defense of a dead strongman(marunde) so i am confused by your comment about "our constant bullshit about steroids" or how we are "so quick to spout the "we are all natural mantra". really could not care any less what others think we do or dont do, which is why we have ignored everyone elses constant bullshit about it. thanks

  • take lots and lots of roids and hope your body and heart are strong enough to cope with it, no, just train hard and listen to what your body demands for nutrition, don't overeat, and maybe wait with heavy weights for a couple of years.

    Im a big guy too and ever since the baseball steroid use crap went down everyone thinks they know what their talking about. I never got crap for being abig guy, but know everyone asks me if I juice, I even had a guy at a bar tell me that steroids kill...all while he was drinking 151 and smoking camel wides. Its just a jeliousy thing I think. Its just like how you always hear fat chicks say "this is what a real women looks like" while they weigh in at 250,standing 5 ft.

  • normally i dont respond to posts like this...but thats just wrong to say something like that. first of all jesse was a great friend of mine and his death was caused by a hereditary heart problem, dont assume things you dopnt know. and secondly... do you assume that i take those things cause i not a fat strength athlete... if i was fat and wasnt in shape like i am, this wouldnt even be a discussion. sorry i take care of myself and train hard!

  • Bighaley, not anyone can be a WSM. I mean, you can train hard as hell, harder than anyone but if you don't have the right physique once you get farther down the line you'll start getting beat by guys who you're stronger and faster than just because of their superior traits. 6-2'-6'4 is around the perfect height for a strongman. Among other things it does require talent, it's not all about being freakishly strong.

  • Actualy best height for strongmen is between 5'10 and 6'2, for fitness, speed and strength. alot of the repeteted winners of world strongest are around 6 foot tall. marius pudzianowski,joka ahola,Svend Karlsen,Janne Virtanen.

  • i'm sure he takes supplements to help his muscles recover but he is not on roids because i has seen guys do that amount of weight and be all natural.

  • In deadlifts maybe, but I think it has to do more with the feel of having a hard surface to push off of, rather sneakers which feel squishy. Thats why alot of lifters use wrestling shoes b/c of the small amount of cushion.

  • LOL...Anybody thats strong anymore has to be unnatural... With todays LEGAL supplements on the market and a vigorous training regimen you can get absolutely huge... Even big enough to be a WSM... If you dont know this then maybe you should do a little research... Or maybe just intensely train for 3 months on legal supplements then X that by about 5-10 years or more cuz thats how long the guys in WSM have been training to get there...
