I was learning Vivaldi's Spring. Then Vivaldi's Winter. I was putting off learning this even though I always had wanted to learn it,until I heard this. Now as soon as I finish typing this I'm using my mom's printer to print out all 7 pages of the sheet music for this. Theres no way I can go another day without knowing this song.

@CookiehPaste Don't say that! This person is an accomplished professional that has mastered the delicate art of music. You may feel fazed but instead of doubting your ability on the Flute You should feel revitalized to some day sound just as beautiful and even surpass this level of difficulty. I myself am a flautist. Everyone, including world renowned musicians, have many hardships with their instruments for years. What makes them great is that they over come those hardships. :)

@bluehaze1029 what separates him from other flute players is his tone and the way he uses it. his tone is probably hands down the greatest I've ever heard. as a flute player I can distinguish it from others almost instantly. to any flute player who focuses on tone he is amazing (:

@MusicBeSweetYo Haha, actually I'm a flute player too and I'm aware of tone as well. I am actually auditioning for MSM next year and practice quite a lot. It may just be our musical tastes. Though I know people who are quite fond of Galaway, I know some people who dislike his vibrato particulary.

Well, I really haven't heard him play much. I also think I may be acting quite biased since I'm thinking of how he scored LoTR, and I guess that being said I don't take him as seriously.

I really think that the flute is the most beautiful sounding instrument. It's a close call because all of them are so beautiful in their own ways, but the flute really takes the cake in my opinion.

no i used one loned to me by my school but i had to stop because i was put in to a home study fastrack program to graduate on time i did graduate i just realy miss playing it took me only 6 months the learn how to play the instument befor the put me at second chare so yea .... any way i just miss playing

maybe you could try to play the tinwhistle? you can buy an generation D whistle for only 10 euro's. they are realy cheap, but beatyfull instruments. :) especially if you also like celtic music. and so at least you can whistle some songs :D you should search for it first on youtube :) tinwhistle...

My flute broke about 6 years ago, the bars were out of place, and a couple springs broke, and it would've cost more to fix it than to buy a new one, so we just threw it away. :( I miss playing so much! But I'm going to save up and get a Gemeinhardt 3SB because I've noticed that's one of the best flutes as far as quality and life goes. However, yes cheap flutes do have as good a sound, just dont last long.
