  • Some of the initial schords were wrong. But sounded ok either way well done

  • That was excellent!

  • Hi. Very nice sound. It was only HFS pick up position ?

  • @Vladotubular Thanks. Yes, it was only the HFS position.

  • Hello!

    About the CE24...

Do you think you can get close to a jazzy tone, with the neck pickup and tone pot rolled down a little? Of course not exactly like a hollow body... but close? :)

    Best regards.

  • @bolocanalberto I'm not too familiar with what separates a good jazz tone from a bad one, but I'll refer you to this video. Paul Reed Smith is demoing a Custom 24, not a CE24, but still, they are quite similar guitars.

(I couldn't copy and paste the link, but just type in "Paul Reed Smith demo custom 24" and it's the first one).

  • I wish my dad had a PRS.

  • What amp settings did you use on the Tone Port?

  • @diazcamille I think I went a bit overboard actually, lol. I believe it was the Marshall Plexi with a Tube Screamer in front of it with the gain high. And I also added a compressor.

  • well done

  • lifeson would be proud! awesome job!

  • Got Dam, These PRSs sustain all day!

  • Haha, the compressor effect I added probably didn't hurt either.

  • great solo...just like Alex but with a bit of your own feel.

  • Really NIce job!! ...I just bought a CE-24 myself and you're right, the maple neck is extremely dense...I love it! By the way, where did you find this nice backing track?

  • Thanks. I got the backing track at guitarbtDOTcom.

  • you should cover the R30 overture. sick guitar

  • Very good cover. The only thing I see is the "A" after the main riff. You need to give it the F note on the bottom of the chord....(I think thats the right note...4th fret on the D string.)

  • Haha, that's right. I saw the tutorial video featuring Alex Lifeson himself, and he said that he keeps that F# throughout the riff. Well....now I know.

  • great job!

  • I am a Rush fan and I do believe you nailed it :).

    Gr8 Job.

  • Great job man!

  • 5 stars ! great tune ! i didn't know this one !

  • New guitar??

  • This one's my dad's. I know, I know.......it's tough being me.....

It's a CE 24, which is PRS' bolt-on version. The back of the neck is maple and feels MUCH more dense than a mahogany neck (or even the maple neck on my strat).

  • Nice work

  • sick mann keep rockin

  • great cover!

  • You really got a hold of that one. Kudos.

  • nice cover one of my favorite bands later man mike and nice prs
