Fedrat I have info on Wat to do add me on skype temparroly so i can say it because I writ Wat to do and writ about 9 lines dnt wnt to do again didnt work because I got my pass word wrong
Female bird died after laying the eggs and after that I put the eggs to Badrika bird nest and now I am hearing chrip sound from one eggs since one day. But the egg is not hatched yet and the Badrike bird is not taking care of the eggs. What should I do now to hatch the egg. Will the egg be automatically hatched or I need to hatch it? Can any one please tell me?
Thankyou so much for posting. I bought my cockatiel from a breeder 5 years ago... Hand reared. Pepe is now 6 years old, and so loving. Thankyou once again xx The hatching brought a tears to my eyes XXX
hii!! i have a cockatiel too i think its a boy from his feathers but people say there not known until a blood test but i was wondering. would a cockatiel need to mate with another bird to lay eggs or do they randomly produce eggs and lay it? and congratz on the new baby :)
its was both horrifying and abosolutly gorgeous, hes adorable but i swear i screamed every time i thought he wouldnt make it. do the parents help with this at all ??? ive had chicks, i just dont know if the parents helped :O
my cockatiel laid an egg this morning and it hit the bottom of the cage and cracked/died it was really sad :( i burried him i gonna get a nesting box soon a hopefully this dosent happen again RIP charlie Jr.
this is really awesome. im getting a cockatiel soon and its funny that he looked like this only a few weeks ago. just beautiful. thx for uploading. :)
my Cockatiels just laid eggs...and the female has been sitting on them for the last 3 days..how long is it before the eggs hatch??? and is there anything i put in the cage during this period???
most cases my birds will take them back and then unite the family, but if not, you can raise it as your own. the baby will grown a special bond and see you as the parent. i still have one cockatiel (she is a female) i call her baby chicken. she is amolst two now and she still callout to m e and beggs for food. love birds. they have so much personality. congrats to lovemybirds.
i have a special box with heating pads (to warm up the nest.. then i begin the process of feeding them special baby bird food. sometime after two weeks u notice growth of baby, you can to try reunite to reunite them with mom and dad.
again, never take a shell off, only help it a tiny bit if you feel it is in distress/trouble.
and place it back in the nast along with one of the parent. the parent wil know whay to do. i had two babies die becaus they did not make it out on time. so now i keep a close eye on them. when the hachting process begins.
also check for the runts (the last babies can be pushed away by the older siblings, and they can die of starvation)
but remove the entire shell. after to take one or two tiny holes place it back it the nest and place mommy or daddy in the box. they will monitor the baby. i have 15 years experience with birds, the vet showed me me how to assist a baby cockatiel. the process is very delicate and should be handled with care. you must wash your hads befor touching any egg. as the impurities of the hands can be transferred through the pores of the eggs.
you will kill it. so you might as well flush it down the toilet. never assisy a baby, unless you absulotely need to. for example, it takes a good half hour for them to start the hatching process, if you noticee the mommy or daddy not assisting, you can just check for any holes, then perhaop assist the baby with one or two tiny holes to make it easier and speed up the process.
you never remove the shell from a newborn hatchling. it is nature's process from them to do it themselves. that is why the have a baby tooth on top of the baby beek. ususally the parents will know what to do if a hatchlin baby is having trouble. if you ever remove the shell in order to help the baby,
Aw so cute. I would give something away to be able to have seen my little dum-dum cocatiel come out of its egg. I never loved any other animal more then my bird here. He's sitting on my shoulder attentively watching the video... I'm sure he recognizes the chirps. lol. And tdizzle10... I think the narration was nice. Very nice voice. Love the video.
wow the baby is so cool my cockatiel just lay about 4 eggs and it been like 2 or 3 weeks and i cant wait for the egg to hatch and thnkz for filming it ^-^
gosh this is recent. How is the little fella now? I have a cockatiel but he's a big boy now... it's funny to think that they all start like this. Very cute 5/5 thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for your kind words and rating. The little fellow is doing well. I started hand-feeding him on Saturday, July 11. It's very interesting how he didn't exhibit any fear or struggle like all other babies who were first pulled out a nestbox. He was trusting and comfortable as if he had always been hand-fed. I wondered if it had anything to do with hearing my voice upon hatching. :-) Just now he watched this film for the first time July 14 and was captivated by it the entire time!
Thank you Crem2057 for your kind comment. I have been checking every day and the baby is doing fine. None of the other 4 eggs hatched, so he is the only one with his parents' undivided attention. I will probably start hand-feeding him when he is 3 weeks old so he will be very tame. This is the first time I video taped anything. Thank you very much for your kind comment. I am very grateful. :-)
Just so u know I am a experienced little 12 year old I started with 3 budgies ended up with 49-45 because of breeding

@SuperBilly124 because if you help a baby hatch through its egg with your hands it won't be strong when it grows up
