@VikingInvaders some danes are just sooooooooooooooooo stupid.. im a dane and I really dont know why poulsen hit that swedish guy and why the hell that danish fan tried to slap that referee.. and that fan had to pay 157.386,6 $ in replacement
Denmark will gain the victory, now that Bendtner and Agger is back. Sweden & Denmark will defeat Portugal.
And btw. That fucking cunt who hit the ref lives in Sweden!! It's a swedish undercover dressing up in the danish kit and attacks the ref, so DK looses... Wtf!?

Well at least they are free supporters and have a living supporterculture. The copincident has been misinterpreted i dont even think it was a fan/hooligan who killed him.
italy is so lame. with their pride they just can't admit that their products sucks and italy isn't a big country anymore. and of course they are good actors but only when playing football(their movies sucks).
i think Italy are a good team but they were defiantly the luckiest team in the world cup especially against Australia...still thou their under 21's lookin so sick(good) lol
ehm....i guess you don't know a lots about football....italy won 4 times...and believe me, i really don't care if brasil is "pentacampeon" but...where are you from? what about your country's football team?!? everybody can talk about the others....what about you??!! Merry Christmas! ;)
Problem is that Italian football is always brought down by match fixing scandals at club level AND international level. No matter if they win they are always going to raise questions if they win with elements of luck if something was going on behind the scenes.
When Italy wins, it's luck. When Italy loses, it's fair. Excellent logics!
Regardin which football is best, well, everybody has a different opinion. But I did not only write my opinion. I wrote STATISTICS. And statistics are FACTS.
There must be a good reason if Italian national team, clubs and individual players have won so many trophies, in football history (and particularly this season).
Italian football is just about the most boring football in Europe.. they all play that defensive shit. I think you all know what i'm talkin about.. I think the prettiest football in Europe is the Spanish..
Like it or not, Italian football is the best football around:
World Cup 2006: Italy (for the 4th time!)
Ch.League 06-07: Milan (Italy)
Golden Ball 06 : Cannavaro (Italy)
English fans still think brit football is better, but I am not sure about that: brit football is a very physical sport, all about running and "battling". Italian football, like "latin" football in general, is more about "dancing" with the ball. And it's also efficient, as the results show.
Do we have to remember you that you won the WC by penalties ? I don't think that Italian soccer is the best.. Just look how they won all these trophies..
We won this WC by penalties. So what? Does that mean that we did not win the cup, maybe?
And why do you write "look how they won all these trophies"? The other trophies we won were not by penalties. What exactly you mean by "how" Italy won the trophies is a real mistery.
And, by the way... I understand you don't like Italians... that's fine: it's your right to have prejudices. But reality is reality, and numbers are numbers: World Cups won by Italy : 4 Euro Cup won by Italy : 1 Champions' Leagues won by Italian teams : 11 UEFA Cups won by Italian teams : 9 And, in 2006-2007: World Cup : ITALY Champion's League: Milan (ITALY) Golden Ball: Cannavaro (ITALY) FIFA Best Player : Cannavaro (ITALY) Golden Boot : Totti (ITALY) Is that enough or not?
italian football is not the best like u sed b4 "dancing" its not supposed to be dancing its supposed 2 b football and why do ur players dive around the floor like thyeve been shot when they get a small kick on the leg ???? like materazzi he got headbutted not hit by a fucking bus
leeem0... there are different styles of football. Probably you prefer the british style (physical strenght and run, run, run). Personally, I prefer the "latin" style. It's my personal opinion, and I respect your opinion.
But I feel there is some prejudice in what people here write: if Zidane had been hit by Materazzi, you would condemn Materazzi. Zidane hit Materazzi, and now the guilty one is... Materazzi! Quite astounding.
Anyway, let's talk about Poulsen: he received only a 3 matches suspension. And the Danish Football Association is even complaining that it's a too hard punishment.
That's funny, because when Totti spat to Poulsen, the same Danish F.A. made an official complaint to Uefa pushing for a 4 matches suspension.
That means that the Danish F.A. believes that a punch in the stomach is a smaller offence than a spit.
When Rosenberg admits he hit Poulsen first it puts the punch in the stomach in perspective - and he strangely got right up without any trouble when he got startle by the fan entering the field.
I guess some Italians will always declare the DEN-SWE match a fix. The Herald Tribune didn't actually state that the match was fixed - just that 2-2 would send both teams on. The Swedish FANS hels up a banner with 2-2 on its (and some Danish magazines hoped that would happen too), but that doesn't mean the TEAMS fixed the match. Check out the Guardian and other mags for their take on it. They called the match-fixing accusations LUDICROUS!
Just to make you certain, check out the second swedish goal - it was a TOTAL FREAK - no one could have planned it. And the firs Swedish goal was due to a misjudged penalty kick - was the referee in on it too?
Well, reading the Danish newspapers, it looks like the real problem was not Poulsen's punch, but Rosenberg provocation. That's funny: a couple of years ago, when Poulsen provoked Italy's F. Totti (hitting him several times and insulting his family in Italian), and Totti overreacted spitting at him, the same Danish press wrote that provoking is part of the game, and Totti's reaction was the only disgusting thing happened in that match. Wow, what a sudden change of ethics!
After Totti's spit, the Danish and the Swedes fixed their match openly saying that they wanted to stop Italy from accessing to the next round. That match was disgusting, with the two teams laughing and joking on the pitch, not even trying to dissimulate the will to end it without a winner. A Danish newspaper, the day after, titled "Italia a Casa" ("Italy go home"). I think that was one of the basest moment in the history of football.
That is a myth you Italian moron! If it was fixed (which just about any respectable sports mag outside of Italy denies) than how did the swedish goalie make all those terrific saves? Oh, they "planned" to have him make 2 flying saves in the match. Tell me how to do that will you. Try seeing the match - they were dead serious - no one wanted to face Czech rep in the quarter finals (Denmark did and got the Sh** kicked out of them)
Oh, and this is a different match by the way - you were thinking of EURO 2004. And the biased italian referees more or less single handedly prevented Denmakr from qualifying for the world cup in 2006, dishing out red cards and penalties against them througout the two most important games - check out Denmark-Turkey (in copenhagen) and Denmark Greece (in Athens).
First of all, try to be polite: calling me an "Italian moron" is not nice. Anyway, here is what the british HERALD TRIBUNE wrote: "Denmark and Sweden knew that even if Italy beat Bulgaria in Guimaraes, Sweden would advance with a draw and so, too, would Denmark, if the score was at least 2-2. During the national anthems, a group of Swedish fans held up a soggy banner that told the Italian team: 'We'll call you when the score is 2-2'". Are you satisfied, now?
And by the way it is NOT a different match: "Totti spit" was in EURO 2004, and the FIXED 2-2 match was in the same EURO 2004. That's what we are talking about, right now. And I can send you all the links you want to respectable non-Italian sports mags that call that 2-2 a FIXED match.
You are clearly a fucking idiot. Yeah, Sweden-Denmark was fixed, UFO's landed in Roswell, JFK was killed by a conspiracy, the moon landing was a hoax, Bush planned the 9/11 attacks, etc. Italians sure are sore losers...
quetzalift, you're really making a fool out of yourself by writing those comments about the swe-den game in euro 2004. That banner the swedes held up during the national anthem doesn't prove anything. Of course everybody knew the circumstances, however, that doesn't mean they wanted a 2-2 draw. Have you even watched the game? And most of the media world wide agreed with this after the game.
But one thing is sure: swedes and danes were really happy to kick out Italy. The usual prejudices that some northern cultures have towards Mediterranean cultures and peoples.
I've been in over 50 countries, and only in Denmark I was treated as scum just for being Italian (and not even proud of it). Very oftern, when I approached somebody, even only for asking directions, the answer was "go home, nigger" or something like that.
wickedfunny: Well I used to play in the top junior team of a town of 100.000 people. That's why I didn't become a fanatic, I can actually play the game myself. I prefer combat sports today, but I still play fb often. By the way, your homophobia is a clear sign of your own gayness. Be true to yourself my Canuck friend! Don't even bother to reply.
FUCKIN IDIOT! You just distroyed Denmarks chanses of winning, Hope your happy!!! But this isn't just his fault, It's even the guards, They just stood there, they didn't do their jobs.
Only a retard takes football as seriously as that guy. It's just a game where men run after a leather ball. It's a fun sport to watch, but if you are a fanatic, grow the fuck up. There are more important things in life. Just my $0.02 :)
ur a fag probably a gay too i wouldnt expect a homo to understand a real mans love for sports i admit thta what that fann did was a bit rash but there is absolutly nothing wrong with being a fanatic u probably got picked on at school for sucking at soccer and thats why u turned to homosexuality ur pathetic. Just my $0.02
Sick? Because I dislike a ref who makes a mockery of every game he calls? Nice logic there.
I'm talking in general terms here and generally speaking he's an awful referee. You might not think so, but that is then your opinion. And this is mine.
we will se how many games denmark will be abandoned...when the incidents in turkey happened (turkey-switzerland) there was no turkish fan on the pitch and we got 6 matches ban...we will see the uefa and fifa if they are treating everyone equally...
Yeah, you're right. The main problem here is the security staff who was watching FOOTBALL instead of watching the CROWD. Clearly they didn't do their job.
Oh yes, it's DANMARK's best way. Because obviously we ALL attacked him, didn't we? So we should ALL be punished for the stupidity one one drunk guy. Yes, ban Denmark from all European football for the next 30 years, because MY GOD a drunken idiot almost BRUSHED the ref!
Its a question of security. No one blames Denmark. But the Orginaizers have to be blamed. Imagine the idiot carried a knife or something. PLUS: No one official guard or something ran on the pitch. It was the players. And yes - DK is to blame for that. I am Danish and I hope they take severe actions for that! Fandel did a good job it was a great game and what most ppl forget it was POULSEN's fault!!!
Ah yes, but what people also conviniently seem to forget is that Rosenberg took a couple of swings at Poulsen as well which is what made him snap. It's clear to see after the video footage. Even Rosenberg admitted to it. But of course the linesman only focused on one thing. A shame really.
And for the sake of football I hope Fandel never calls a match again. He is completely incompetent not to mention arrogant.
The guy that stormed the field got a fine of > €250.000 for that :-p I guess he'll think twice next time :D

At club level you are certainly right (the usual 2 or 3 teams, and no-one is happy about that, believe me).

Although I'm happy we won, but it would be much better if we really won, not by forfit...

Sick? Because I dislike a ref who makes a mockery of every game he calls? Nice logic there.
I'm talking in general terms here and generally speaking he's an awful referee. You might not think so, but that is then your opinion. And this is mine.

remember the turkey Switzerland football match ı wonder how uefa punish denmark ....
tafocuk 4 years ago
First of all its the Danish players fault. He's the jerk here. The second jerk is the hooligan. Idiots!
AlexanderRaoul 4 years ago
Don't forget Rosenberg. He only barely misses his elbow-punch at Poulsen's face.

we will se how many games denmark will be abandoned...when the incidents in turkey happened (turkey-switzerland) there was no turkish fan on the pitch and we got 6 matches ban...we will see the uefa and fifa if they are treating everyone equally...

Yeah, you're right. The main problem here is the security staff who was watching FOOTBALL instead of watching the CROWD. Clearly they didn't do their job.

im from sweden and the war between Denmark and Sweden just began.
ShaolinGuy2 4 years ago
Oh yes, it's DANMARK's best way. Because obviously we ALL attacked him, didn't we? So we should ALL be punished for the stupidity one one drunk guy. Yes, ban Denmark from all European football for the next 30 years, because MY GOD a drunken idiot almost BRUSHED the ref!
SlitWristTheory 4 years ago
Its a question of security. No one blames Denmark. But the Orginaizers have to be blamed. Imagine the idiot carried a knife or something. PLUS: No one official guard or something ran on the pitch. It was the players. And yes - DK is to blame for that. I am Danish and I hope they take severe actions for that! Fandel did a good job it was a great game and what most ppl forget it was POULSEN's fault!!!
emsmaps 4 years ago
Ah yes, but what people also conviniently seem to forget is that Rosenberg took a couple of swings at Poulsen as well which is what made him snap. It's clear to see after the video footage. Even Rosenberg admitted to it. But of course the linesman only focused on one thing. A shame really.
And for the sake of football I hope Fandel never calls a match again. He is completely incompetent not to mention arrogant.
SlitWristTheory 4 years ago
I agree to some extent. Fandel is an incompetent and arrogant referee. Clearly demonstrated by this game as well as the Champions League final.
