Even though the mic may not be that goog and it is going into the computer etc.. the sound of tube amps is jaw dropping.BIG speakers do help if you like bass and a good EQ with a nice mid scoop sounds good to me anyways.Movie scores sound out of this world on tube equipment, again big speakers a must for good 20- 30 hz frequency response. I have a Bell and Howell tube Reel to Reel with 6V6 single ended.The sound from it is so rich, dimensional and deep and reasonably loud w BIG ext. speaker
@natn0 yes, but what diffrence if you sitt whith you cheap headphones on ? or laptop speakers ? we cant hear that fantastic sound he gets in his speakers if we dont got the same good gear :) :P
@natn0 doesn't matter what mic you recorded in... There is no way to capture the experience of actually listening to the music there... :S ... I think the video is to appreciate the actual amplifier... If you want the exp go to your local Hi-Fi store and listen to setup that are grossly overpriced.... XD
