cant people just sit back and enjoy the music or sulk in silence instead of getting into pointless arguments? If you hate it that much why'd you waste your time listening to it again and again to comment?
@rockon1898 Jimmy joined Wings in April 1974 then formed White Line with his brother Jack and Dave Clarke near the end of his time in Wings. In Sept. 1977, McCulloch left Wings to join the reformed Small Faces and shortly after leaving Small Faces, started the band Wild Horses. McCulloch's last band was The Dukes before he died of Heroin overdose in spite of his anti drug songs)
ORDER: The Jaygars (1st) ,Thunderclap Newman,Stone the Crows,Blue ,Wings ,White Line,Small Faces,Horses, Dukes(last)
THIS man-child was incredibly gifted, talented young man who died before his time was up. He was the VERY best nearly equal to Entwistle had he lived as long. Say what you will few could hold a candle to what he did in the 26 years he lived. Forgive those who cannot see or will not recognize TRUE Talent when they hear it.
This song is pure amateur hour. Sorry to disillusion you, but it's pretty terrible in about every way imaginable....and it's sad to see someone like McCullough squander his talent as he did. Don't get your panties in a wad over the truth.
I'm far too old to be disillusioned by the comments of a jealous person on YouTube.
I repeat, McCulloch was a kid when he played this. He was on a stage playing music......he eventually got into a band with Paul McCartney. What have you ever done to compare to that?
Don't answer, I know what the answer is.....you've done NOTHING to compare to that. So, don't get your knickers in a twist son. Just because you are a nobody and McCulloch was somebody. I know it must hurt. Deal with it
@diezungen Never said it was with McCartney , Before you speak ill of someone you should read what I said.,he wrote this after Wings Who are you calling DUMMY????
I just read "Blackbird" and it was shocking. Poor Jimmie almost shot Paul and Linda as they slept due to bad treatment. He got very drunk, according to the book, and actually went in as they were sleeping with every intention of shooting them. Its a scary story. Its sad too that the band members were shabbily treated. People should treat each other more respectfully. We're all just people, in the same boat. Some may have more talent and money than others, but that does not make them better.
i wish i had the brains to read..what's it about exactly. i can imagine how he might of been taken advantage of, as great he was as a musican. tell me what other song's did he pen other than medicine jar,,which to me is one of the 5 best wing's song's ever. i was shocked when he died, but what the hell could anyone have done. i know drug's well. w/ H..there's no take backs... it's amazing kieth richard made it through. what you wrote is so true though, but ego's will always get in the way.
Jimmy was an asshole. Plain and simple. That is why you relate to his drug use. Fucking clueless cunt. Paul did all he could to keep him sober. He gave Jimmy a great job. He blew it. Ed
good song. I was just watching ROCKSHOW video that I dug up the other day. Love the way Jimmy wailed on his cherry SG...and he played some tasty slide.
I heard Paul didnt pay his Wings band much money

He was a kid. You were probably playing with your dick when he was performing on stage.....so who is ''sad'' and who is ''amateurish''?

No....you are obviously confused...this song was AFTER McCullough played with McCartney. That's what's so sad about it. Live and learn...dummy. :)

His talent? Well by using that word you kind of blow your own argument out of the water. I rest my case.

Jimmy's other song in Wings is Wino Junko. He also penned Too Many Miles with White Line.
