Good song! Johnny lived a hard life for a while, but somewhere along the way, he surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and I am glad for that and I believe he is with the Lord in eternity.

ya know a lot of people complain about johnny cashes covers, but to be honest he did a lot of covers for american IV im not sure if this song is from that album, but THE ALBUM IS AMERICAN IV as in having the heart and soul of america, im just making this a point because of ppl complaining about american iv the most...so it was a very honerary? if thats how it spelled, thing to have your song covered, plus most artist do covers, some of the most famous songs ever are covers, so yeah just let itgo
i am glad that johnny lived to be old enough to sing these songs of love, belief, loss and spirituality... many of his friends did not. i wish we could have listened to elvis grow to be an old man of wisdom and sing songs. johnny's voice might not have been booming and might be cracking at times... but the belief and love behind them have so much meaning...... he wasn't afraid of death at the end... he was embracing it as he saw it coiming. maybe he even welcomed it without june.

As God from the beginning spoke of Adam when he said it is not good for man to be alone will find eternity being spent all alone if found to be without Christ. Please be found in Christ
@HermitintheRain do you really believe that a merciful loving GOD would torment you for eternity in a lake of fire? the bible says jesus will do away with sin it will no longer exsist. through jesus you have eternal life he is our savior, without hih there is no eternal life. all sin will be consumed in a lake of fire, so he can make anew earth here for us.
