I am not at all convinced that this woman killed her kids. Her arms and hands were beaten badly! And what narcissistic, self-absorbed woman(prosecutor's words) would leave a huge scar for everyone to stare at on her throat that came within hair's breath of killing her. Where's the M.O.? Why wasn't all of the memorial tape shown?People act strange when in shock. It can last up to months. Casey Anthony walked but this woman gets death? Something's missing more than fingerprints.
@mblackchurch "And what narcissistic, self-absorbed woman(prosecutor's words) would leave a huge scar for everyone to stare at on her throat that came within hair's breath of killing her."
The kind that would enjoy all of the attention it would bring her.
@2906Sarge So, I assume you have a PHD and a degree in psychiatry to back up your "diagnosis? and you have actually sat down and talked with her before dianosing her as a sociopath? (I rest my case.)
I don't think I will ever understand why this woman killed her children. She left the little one alive and wasn't really going to profit off the kids death. If I understand it correctly, the insurance money would not have even covered the funerals.
I think you misunderstood me. I do believe she killed her children. I just cannot understand why she did it other than wanting to get rid of them because they were a bother to her.
I am pretty much a good judge of character and by the way she behave, she doesn't seem inocent to me, specially because she never talks about the "lost" of her children....
I really don't know on this one, the intruder could have worn gloves but wasn't there some damning evidence regarding the murder weapon (which was inside the house) showing traces of the cut screen door? Why cut your way out if you've already found a way in. Seems a bit staged.
I usually have strong opinions on these types of cases i.e, Casey Anthony - GUILTY! Melissa Huckaby - GUILTY! But this is a weird one. There was no apparent motive for her to have done it but then again if an intruder was the culprit then why not take any valuables? She appears to be a bit of an actress in front of the camera too...
The difficulty in this case is the motive. Why would an intruder kill 2 little boys and leave an adult alive where it is exactly the adult who can stop them from taking what they want, e.g valuables? At the same time, why on earth would a mother kill their children? Neither way does this make sense.
@cprs9 You're right. Neither way makes sense so it's one or the other: someone came in to rob, but then decided to take nothing, murder 2 sleeping kids, and then walk away and leave a living witness following them - OR - for some bizarre reason beyond our comprehension, this mother killed her children. Neither make sense, but I believe the latter to be the most likely of the two scenarios.
@2hereagain this is an intern family matter. there is something going on about guilt, infidelity, awkward relationships. and got nothing to do with the two 10 inchgold necklaces people kept in the house, worth 200 bucks.
How I wish Casey Anthony had killed her child in Texas. She would be sitting on death row right now instead of living off the blood money she has made off Caylee.
Texas does not care about guilt or innocence , they want a body on the table any way they can get it .I have always believed her to be innocent she had wounds in places trhat she just could not have done herself. There had to be someone else there . she ought to get a new trail or better yet released and the real killer found because she is not it. time is going by though and that is what Texas does..stall and let the time run out..
@libraiis Strong forensic evidence ties Routier to these murders. The only way she will get a new trial is if they have new evidence. After 15 years, still nothing. I hope they commute her sentence as I am not a DP advocate, but she killed those kids and is where she belongs.
@2hereagain You really need to read alot more . Even the tv show 20/20 said she did not do it . The cops messed the whole investigation up, the forensics are a sham. There are over 33000 mistakes and errors in the court record of her trial. That alone is reason to have a new trial, there are people who have started out to write her story believeing as you do and came away shaking their heads as to the injustice of her case .I want her free but Texas will kill her at some point.
@libraiis I've been researching this case for several years now. I can assure you that my reading in this regard is up to par. I've based my opinion on the facts of the case, not a television program.
@2hereagain If you had you could not possible have the opinion you have. My opinion is not based on "just a tv programm ", Apart from the trial errors , she had wounds in places that she could not have done herself , you have the finger print , the sock , the fouled up investigation, messed up forensics and her lawyer that did not do an effective job because he just did not think that with the mess the case was she would not be found guily .Just too much to put her to death for but they will .
@libraiis I've done my reading. Every trial has errors. What errors, specifically, are you referring to? In what place did she have a wound that she couldn't have done herself? The fingerprint belongs to Darlie & will not ever be beneficial to her. The sock had none of her blood on it but had her skin cell DNA in the toe. Investigation fouled up how? Forensics messed up how? Mulder did the best he could considering his clients guilt.
put yourself in her shoes.. where do u go for help or who do u trust when u cant even trust police to do thier jobs.. i think people watch too much t.v. and always think they know evidence.. NOT. i say new trial...even if its to just clear some shit up.. texas dont want to look bad. i recall the prosecutor in case was investigated for falsifying documents...well guess what...ANOTHER COVER UP.. t.x.-2 society minus too mutch.
i think she needs a new trial... even if found guilty again at least there would not be any doubt... texas is big about covering thier own ass.. i recall a case involving a man who was executed {in texas} than later was found to be innocent.. so knowing that alone i say if texas doesnt have anything to hide than why not take to trial again.. i hope if she is quilty that she pays... but if she isnt than a KILLER would still be loose and a mother dead who still has a living child. Nobody will win.
@3:31 wow....what horrible acting. she is trying to make herself cry or something. Some thing made me think maybe the husband or soemthing but then to hear her talk and see how she doesnt seem to be sincere or true. What a horrible story. those poor kids. and where is the lil one now?
The 'Darlie Routier is Guilty' page and the 'Justice For Darlie' page. Maybe a couple of others as well. Just search her name and they'll all pop up..
After all these years the finger print that was found doesn't match anyone in the criminal database? Strange. If a guy broke in and murder them you'd think that he'd murder again or had so in the past. Since this incident no other murdered children and moms ever happened again. If a guy was stalking her as her husband thinks why would he go in when the husband was home?
The ENTIRE court transcripts are online for all to see. I would suggest reading Darlie's testimony on the stand, and then tell me she's innocent. I particularly loved the testimony at the end when she told a detective THREE separate times that "If I did it, I don't remember," in reference to murdering her boys. Or when she sent letters out to family members from jail saying "I know who did it" and naming a neighbor who looked nothing like the description she gave police.
@mlc2005 Yeah, but the alledged comment was NEVER recorded. There is no proof other than the detective's word against her's that she made those comments.
I do believe she is guilty. I also think it is important for ALL evidence to heard in a trial. As an American it is important to me that our judicial system be fair for ALL.
Everyone on death row is such innocent as someone can be. lol. For me Darlie Routier is where she belongs. And what did she said? "Damon and Devon are waiting for me." Well, send her to her "babies". I´m against death penalty´, but for mothers who torture and/or murder their kids I think death penalty is a very good way.I have to say I don´t have any mercy with those women.Children love their mothers and trust them so much, and a 5- or 6-year-old-kid can´t help hisself. We mustn´t forget that.
I should make clear that this case came up when i search susan smith. i was not familar with Darlie until now. im sorry about getting them confused. lol trying to take this all in so many years after its broken my heart for sure.
Now i see why some folks mentioned susan smith when talking about casey anthony. i didnt remember susan smith. WOW is all i can say both seem pretty "normal" these stories are so shocking. Its awful guilty or not these children are gone with so much unclear.
All I got to say is if both my children were murdered I guarantee you 8 days later I would b a total mess that is if I hadn't killed myself first..... Without my children my life wouldn't b worth living.... I apologize if this comment is on here more than once but for some reason I am having the hardest time getting my comments to stick...
The prosecutors who keep pointing the finger at her even after all the evidence that shows she is innocent are just trying to cover their mistakes up... They don't want to admit that they put an innocent woman in jail! Texas state is horrible with the death penalty & since 1928 they put 5 innocent people to death and found 25 people innocent and freed! SAVE DARLIE ROUTIER, FIND THE REAL KILLER!
@39rafiq I agree with you that she deserves another trial because she was wrongfully convicted. She needs to be at home with her son. I am on her friend list on facebook.
@realititygameshowfan Look what they did to the West Memphis 3. I saw pics from the wounds the night she was attacked. NO way could she do that to herself. Her lawyer was a total asshole. then that finger print that they found and matched no one in the house. I believe she is innocent.
@39rafiq I agree and I currently live in Texas and I must admit that this is a very prideful state and I wouldn't doubt the people involved would ever apologize or fix it due to that fact Ive been in the car with my infant in the back seat someone cuts me off nearly hitting me and I get flipped off for it. This state never ceases to amaze me. crazy buttholes!
Please keep in mind that the photos of her injuries were a huge part of her defense. She claims she fought for her life... also, how did this intruder armed with this big knife give her those bruises? Those bruises were caused by blunt force trauma. What did the intruder beat her with and how did he beat her severely enough to leave those bruises on her arms but not one bruise anywhere else on her body?
@39rafiq Yes, I'm saying she did it. I'm sorry, I know you very much believe in her innocence. But in my opinion she is very, very guilty. Thank you for posting this program, though. I really appreciate it and I know others here appreciate it as well.
@2hereagain alright. i have seen xanax, by itself, pull people out of even psychotic stages of depression INSTANTLY. on another comment board about this i've heard about how people react, one person said she went to her husband's grave and toasted a glass of champagne and sat there and laughed. i'm just saying that when huge horrible things happen to you, sometimes you can tend to go numb, and even act inappropriately. she doesn't seem to be the most intelligent person in the world anyway.
@barkpeeler2000 Well that is great news. No need to feel deep, sorrow-filled grief or psychotic depression ever again. All you need is a xanax. That's ridiculous. At first they claimed that Darie was on drugs, in shock and didn't realize what she was doing, then they started defending the party saying they'd do it again. I guess that's the xanax, too. How she acted at that 'party' has nothing to do with the very strong forensic evidence against her.
your brain protects itself by not allowing emotion after extremely traumatic events. it took me YEARS to be able to cry over my divorce. the horrible hurt and emptiness was there, i just couldn't feel emotions that you'd consider "outward" yet. rape victims, et cetera often go emotionally numb over their situation. so who's to say what is the right way for her to act? she was convicted because of that stupid silly string video crap and it's a shame. texas is so bloodthirsty.
@barkpeeler2000 We are not talking about a divorce. We are talking about the murder of two children sleeping only feet away from their mother. I cannot believe that you would even attepmt to compare the two on any level. Do you know anything about the evidence in this case or is the SS tape the extent of your knowledge?
@2hereagain whoa wait. my divorce was extremely painful and did involve someone trying to take my child from me. it's only an example, i mentioned rape victims also. i've followed this case for what, 15 years? i just think she was tried on her mannerisms and appearance (breast implants, lots of makeup, etc) and for gods sake i can't believe she could stab herself and make all those bruises in the time available to her. so what, she might be something of an airhead, but child murderer?
@barkpeeler2000 You're still trying to compare a divorce to the murder of two children??? You've followed this case for 15 years and the only thing you know about the evidence is the silly string tape? Obiviously you didn't, but I'll ask anyway... after 15 years of following this case, did you pick up on ANY of the evidence against her? There's quite a bit of it. Or do you honestly mean to say that after all your research, the only things used against her were her mannerisms and her appearance?
@2hereagain i think the evidence was a shambles with too many holes. and i'm not defending anyone's use of xanax to escape reality. i'm just saying what xanax can do. darlie doesn't seem bright enough, in my opinion, to be such a damn good, sociopathic, continual liar. barbara davis sat in that courtroom and heard and took notes on everything! i didn't have the privilege to do that, but after SHE heard all the evidence, even wrote a book, she changed her mind. that means something.
@barkpeeler2000 Barbara Davis' change of heart was financially motivated. She had hopes of a new book. What other possible reason would she have for denying seeing pictures that she has written/talked about herself many times?
@2hereagain oh for goodness sakes, it isn't the same, but it's a comparison, sorry i'm not clever enough to think of something worse than my divorce. which WAS horrible, by the way. you are totally off the point anyways. if you want to argue about darlie's case, then argue about it, not the fact that death is worse than divorce. my POINT is, that after traumatic events, your brain can go to great lengths to protect itself and you, by numbing your emotions. have you heard of barbara davis?
@barkpeeler2000 You're right, it's not the same. Not by a long shot. As horrible as your divorce may have been, I don't see it comparing to two children being murderer as they slept at their mothers feet.
Yes, I've heard of Barbara Davis. She's the author of Precious Angels. She now claims not to have seen photos of Darlie's injuries... the same injuries she's written and talked about many times. What about her?
@2hereagain ok wait, let me put it this way, it wasn't the divorce that bothered me. it was what my daughter had to go through as such a young child. and trust me, my in-laws and ex husband were absolutely VICIOUS. i could write a dissertation on it for you, but just let me say that it ranks up there with the death of a loved one. it was like watching your daughter be raised by a pack of wolves. anyways. right, barbara davis. she attended all the court proceedings and took notes (Cont..)
@2hereagain ....and wrote that book! but she couldn't get those defensive wound photos out of her mind and then went and recanted everything. do you really think darlie had the time to do all of those wounds to herself, mess up the house, cut the screen, plant the sock, et cetera, in the time it took for the kids to pass away? like i said before, she doesn't seem like the most intelligent person in the universe. and for gods sake, look at those bruises!
@barkpeeler2000 "but she couldn't get those defensive wound photos out of her mind & then went & recanted everything" No, she claimed she didn't see the photos of the bruises, even though she discussed them in her book & in interviews, even though the photos were entered and argued in court, even though they were a strong point of Darlie's defense, she later claimed she never saw them. Shes talked about those injuries too many times to try to claim different now. She made a fool out of herself.
@barkpeeler2000 Again, she had plenty of time. Everything was in place before she made the 911 call. Forget the 9 minute timeline, it means nothing. And what was messed up in the house? The house was in pretty good shape considering such a violent attack had occured, one of many things that just wasn't right that night. A table on its side with delicate stems unbroken, a lamp shade that was askew... Go to her website and read Alan Brantly's testimony.
@barkpeeler2000 "i can't believe she could stab herself and make all those bruises in the time available to her"
She had plenty of time. Everything was done before she ever called 911. Not only were the bruises not there while she was at the hospital, any injury that would have caused those bruises weren't there either.
@2hereagain of course i did, and i think it isn't enough to prove beyond a REASONABLE DOUBT, especially with the way her defensive wounds were just.... overlooked, discounted. i'm not 100% sure it ISN'T darlie, but i definitely have enough DOUBT to say i really think it could definitely be someone else who did it.
@barkpeeler2000 No one is discounting her wounds. I guess I just can't say that enough. THEY WERE A STRONG POINT OF HER DEFENSE. You however, continue to discount the evidence against her. You obviously don't know anything beyond the SS tape and the claim of unshown photos, that's plain to see. If you knew the evidence, there would not be a doubt in your mind, reasonable or otherwise.
@barkpeeler2000 I've received one personal message from you, dated 5/19/11. You posted several messages here after that date. Some as early as 3 days ago. What you said in your personal message is not the same thing you're saying here.
@2hereagain yeah, it is different. but i guess people aren't allowed to change their minds on youtube comment boards. i don't know if there is some problem with the dates, but i wrote you that message after the posts i made here. would it have been better if i posted it on this comment board instead?
@2hereagain All psychopaths are like that. They mourn for themselves. After watching enough of these shows, you begin to learn that the boggie man can be anyone. Even a petite little blonde mommy. A sociopath can't feel emotion for others. Add a narcissistic personality to it and you have Darlene and many more.
She is so guilty it it crazy. They need to execute the beeyatch. The silly string tape means nothing, go look at all the evidence and ignore the stupid silly string video and she is still guilty. There is no question that she is exactly where she needs to be.
Daryn, I have a question for you? How do you spray silly string, laugh, chew gum and look like your having the greatest celebration in the world? I am a Mother and I can assure you, if I had just buried my babies, like you both did, there is no way, that I wouldn't have cried and even you, as a Father, showed no emotion. I don't understand either one of you. I believe these children are in a better place, for real!
@lindalovesmusic1 I would feel the same way. It infuriates me when people say, "you don't know how you'd react unless it happened to you." No, I know EXACTLY how I would react. I wouldn't be able to MOVE I would be so grief-stricken. There's not a doubt in my mind as to how I'd react, God forbid.
Because of 2 here I'll keep researching the case but if I wanted that treatment I'd move back to Kerrville I'll keep researching the case but I won't be back on till I'm ready to deal with low class trash like 2 here he was open to discuss it and now he's offended bye
Nutcases? Your the one spending all your time on YouTube living through other peoples misery at least I have a personal interest! I mean 11 years and your still on here. And you should care if you care at all about kids cause all these cases affect kids
@MsLourie1 No, there were no prints on the knife and yes, there was blood. You don't know that there were no prints on the knife? So much you don't know about this case, yet you believe so firmly in her innocence.
i'm not the one twisting the news station you are by assuming she wanted to look like the big dog, it is not evidence and I'm looking into other things, her state of mind? Do you have a degree in Psyche?
@MsLourie1 I said, IMO - In My Opinion, MsLourie. I don't need a degree to listen to/read evidence and form an opinion. And I don't need a degree to repeat what has been explained a million times by the prosecution as to what their reasoning was for showing the silly string tape.
After reviewing all the infomation on this case there is no evidence this women did anything but fall asleep on a coach and had someone kill her two boys and attacked her. I believe her and when she states all she want is it to be known she didn't do it, makes since to me because I wouldn't care if I was executed since 2 parts of my life is now gone I too would want to be with them.
@MsLourie1 The tape was used by the prosecution to show Routier's state of mind only 8 days after the brutal murder of her children. It originated as a scoop on a hot news story for a local TV station and was then used as evidence at trial. It's as simple as that. Don't try to twist it.
@MsLourie1 LOL. The interview wasn't an investigation tool. The local TV station wanted an interview and they agreed to pay for the rooms in exchange for that interview. They weren't trying to catch anyone doing anything. They just wanted the scoop.
But like I said why? Is Kerrville doing this for the DA? What's their motif? Kerrville has never given me a chance nor taken the time to get to know me
I was also told that Kerrville wanted my kids given to my mom even though there was no reason to take them... That's when they pulled the Lewis graves scandall
It's Kerrville that can't except the fact I'm right I mean they paid two women to sleep with rickys dad on my birthday if they can't run my character then there's is shot! MO state troopers admitted to me that Kerrville wanted me sent back to Kerrville but they didn't know kerr county was going to throw me on the streets so they said come back. I love state troopers
There is no loss with my son, Ricky is 17 and he went through years of therapy at childrens hospital, he is now in normal classes, that's thanks to the Dallas police not the DA and the time I spent at the hospital with him. He hates Kerrville and told me when he's 18 he's leaving so I guess next year he'll be safe in MO, Ricky wants to work for the Dallas police! Lol karma
So what your saying is that darlie did not use the money for herself? But the DA is claiming she's selfcentered, have you ever seen money or accounts set up to help the families with enexpected deaths help pay funeral costs? Maybe if she would of went shopping for an outfit forherself, but she wanted guests to attend her sons funeral, sounds like she's putting her sons needs first
@MsLourie1 If you're talking about the TV station paying for the hotel, that's just what they did. It wasn't like they put a chunk of money into her hands and she could do what she wanted to do with it. If that were the case, she probably WOULD have gone shopping for herself. The TV station paid for the rooms in exchange for an interview. It was a way for her to play 'big dog' without it coming out of her pocket. IMO, that is.
Honesty is a good thing and my life in MO is going great. They want nothing to do with the hill country good ole boys. That's terrible that I had to go to another state to get my life back. At anytime the DA could of stepped in and got Kerr county in line, but he still does not care. I just bought a jeep laradeo, I live with my beat friend and I am fixing to start dating again. You won't get a fair chance untill you find another state.
@MsLourie1 I'm very sorry for your loss or whatever it is that you are going through with your son and the Dallas DA, but it has nothing to do with Darlie Routier.
I am a mother and if my kids were murderded I would be happy to know the news media was taking an interest that my boys were important it would take some of the grief away and that day I would smile because the public cared in catching the killer
@MsLourie1 Yes, any parent would be grateful for media interest in a situation like this. But instead of using that time to her advantage, she used it to describe her not feeling anything because she was in shock and telling what a fabulous birthday party the boys were having in heaven. She wasn't concerned about a killer being caught... she was enjoying herself.
Well cause there's no sign of an intruder...that doesn't prove her quilt. The silly string was brought by her sister she used it cause her sister brought it for the boys . She invited the reporter cause she felt like the community and police were interested not for attention.. The wounds she had? The fact she was mad at Darrin but didn't blame him...
@MsLourie1 Stop trying to blame that silly string fiasco on everyone except Darlie. It doesn't matter who brought it, no one forced her to use it. Darlie invited the reporter out because she made an agreement with the local TV station to give them an exclusive interview if they would cover the cost of the hotel rooms they needed for their out of town guests that came for the funeral. It didn't have a damn thing to do with police or community interest.
If he was going to kidnap her the boys would of been the threat due to the fact they could have identified him and if darlie fought back she would have defense wounds
Doesn't mean there's not one my next door neighbor vanished without even evidence of a crime I guess peterpan came and got her plus my sister slept through the beating and rape of her neighbor with only a thin wall between them plus

There are over 33000 mistakes and errors in the court record of her trial. That alone is reason to have a new trial, there are people who have started out to write her story believeing as you do and came away shaking their heads as to the injustice of her case .I want her free but Texas will kill her at some point.
libraiis 4 months ago
@libraiis I've been researching this case for several years now. I can assure you that my reading in this regard is up to par. I've based my opinion on the facts of the case, not a television program.
2hereagain 4 months ago
@2hereagain If you had you could not possible have the opinion you have. My opinion is not based on "just a tv programm ", Apart from the trial errors , she had wounds in places that she could not have done herself , you have the finger print , the sock , the fouled up investigation, messed up forensics and her lawyer that did not do an effective job because he just did not think that with the mess the case was she would not be found guily .Just too much to put her to death for but they will .
libraiis 4 months ago

@stig5057 What about it? I mean, did you have a question or something?
2hereagain 4 months ago
i think she needs a new trial... even if found guilty again at least there would not be any doubt... texas is big about covering thier own ass.. i recall a case involving a man who was executed {in texas} than later was found to be innocent.. so knowing that alone i say if texas doesnt have anything to hide than why not take to trial again.. i hope if she is quilty that she pays... but if she isnt than a KILLER would still be loose and a mother dead who still has a living child. Nobody will win.

There are pages for both sides on Facebook:
The 'Darlie Routier is Guilty' page and the 'Justice For Darlie' page. Maybe a couple of others as well. Just search her name and they'll all pop up..

After all these years the finger print that was found doesn't match anyone in the criminal database? Strange. If a guy broke in and murder them you'd think that he'd murder again or had so in the past. Since this incident no other murdered children and moms ever happened again. If a guy was stalking her as her husband thinks why would he go in when the husband was home?
jackiescorpio 7 months ago
The ENTIRE court transcripts are online for all to see. I would suggest reading Darlie's testimony on the stand, and then tell me she's innocent. I particularly loved the testimony at the end when she told a detective THREE separate times that "If I did it, I don't remember," in reference to murdering her boys. Or when she sent letters out to family members from jail saying "I know who did it" and naming a neighbor who looked nothing like the description she gave police.
mlc2005 7 months ago 8
@mlc2005 Yeah, but the alledged comment was NEVER recorded. There is no proof other than the detective's word against her's that she made those comments.

SAVE DARLIE ROUTIER, FIND THE REAL KILLER!
pdana81 8 months ago

...especially if she was taking xanax. benzodiazapines are more addictive than coke and they make you act really goofy and happy.
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 There's not a drug on earth, separate or combined, that can cover true grief. She wasn't doped up, she was happy. Period.
2hereagain 9 months ago 2
@2hereagain alright. i have seen xanax, by itself, pull people out of even psychotic stages of depression INSTANTLY. on another comment board about this i've heard about how people react, one person said she went to her husband's grave and toasted a glass of champagne and sat there and laughed. i'm just saying that when huge horrible things happen to you, sometimes you can tend to go numb, and even act inappropriately. she doesn't seem to be the most intelligent person in the world anyway.
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 Well that is great news. No need to feel deep, sorrow-filled grief or psychotic depression ever again. All you need is a xanax. That's ridiculous. At first they claimed that Darie was on drugs, in shock and didn't realize what she was doing, then they started defending the party saying they'd do it again. I guess that's the xanax, too. How she acted at that 'party' has nothing to do with the very strong forensic evidence against her.
2hereagain 9 months ago
your brain protects itself by not allowing emotion after extremely traumatic events. it took me YEARS to be able to cry over my divorce. the horrible hurt and emptiness was there, i just couldn't feel emotions that you'd consider "outward" yet. rape victims, et cetera often go emotionally numb over their situation. so who's to say what is the right way for her to act? she was convicted because of that stupid silly string video crap and it's a shame. texas is so bloodthirsty.
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 We are not talking about a divorce. We are talking about the murder of two children sleeping only feet away from their mother. I cannot believe that you would even attepmt to compare the two on any level. Do you know anything about the evidence in this case or is the SS tape the extent of your knowledge?
2hereagain 9 months ago
@2hereagain whoa wait. my divorce was extremely painful and did involve someone trying to take my child from me. it's only an example, i mentioned rape victims also. i've followed this case for what, 15 years? i just think she was tried on her mannerisms and appearance (breast implants, lots of makeup, etc) and for gods sake i can't believe she could stab herself and make all those bruises in the time available to her. so what, she might be something of an airhead, but child murderer?
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 You're still trying to compare a divorce to the murder of two children??? You've followed this case for 15 years and the only thing you know about the evidence is the silly string tape? Obiviously you didn't, but I'll ask anyway... after 15 years of following this case, did you pick up on ANY of the evidence against her? There's quite a bit of it. Or do you honestly mean to say that after all your research, the only things used against her were her mannerisms and her appearance?
2hereagain 9 months ago
@2hereagain i think the evidence was a shambles with too many holes. and i'm not defending anyone's use of xanax to escape reality. i'm just saying what xanax can do. darlie doesn't seem bright enough, in my opinion, to be such a damn good, sociopathic, continual liar. barbara davis sat in that courtroom and heard and took notes on everything! i didn't have the privilege to do that, but after SHE heard all the evidence, even wrote a book, she changed her mind. that means something.
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 Barbara Davis' change of heart was financially motivated. She had hopes of a new book. What other possible reason would she have for denying seeing pictures that she has written/talked about herself many times?
2hereagain 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 "whoa wait. my divorce was extremely painful and did involve someone trying to take my child from me..."
How in God's name does any of that compare to losing a child - two children - to murder???????
2hereagain 9 months ago
@2hereagain oh for goodness sakes, it isn't the same, but it's a comparison, sorry i'm not clever enough to think of something worse than my divorce. which WAS horrible, by the way. you are totally off the point anyways. if you want to argue about darlie's case, then argue about it, not the fact that death is worse than divorce. my POINT is, that after traumatic events, your brain can go to great lengths to protect itself and you, by numbing your emotions. have you heard of barbara davis?
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 You're right, it's not the same. Not by a long shot. As horrible as your divorce may have been, I don't see it comparing to two children being murderer as they slept at their mothers feet.
Yes, I've heard of Barbara Davis. She's the author of Precious Angels. She now claims not to have seen photos of Darlie's injuries... the same injuries she's written and talked about many times. What about her?
2hereagain 9 months ago
@2hereagain ok wait, let me put it this way, it wasn't the divorce that bothered me. it was what my daughter had to go through as such a young child. and trust me, my in-laws and ex husband were absolutely VICIOUS. i could write a dissertation on it for you, but just let me say that it ranks up there with the death of a loved one. it was like watching your daughter be raised by a pack of wolves. anyways. right, barbara davis. she attended all the court proceedings and took notes (Cont..)
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@2hereagain ....and wrote that book! but she couldn't get those defensive wound photos out of her mind and then went and recanted everything. do you really think darlie had the time to do all of those wounds to herself, mess up the house, cut the screen, plant the sock, et cetera, in the time it took for the kids to pass away? like i said before, she doesn't seem like the most intelligent person in the universe. and for gods sake, look at those bruises!
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 "but she couldn't get those defensive wound photos out of her mind & then went & recanted everything" No, she claimed she didn't see the photos of the bruises, even though she discussed them in her book & in interviews, even though the photos were entered and argued in court, even though they were a strong point of Darlie's defense, she later claimed she never saw them. Shes talked about those injuries too many times to try to claim different now. She made a fool out of herself.
2hereagain 9 months ago

2hereagain 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 Just wanted to ask again... after 15 years of following this case, did you pick up on ANY of the evidence against her?
2hereagain 9 months ago
@2hereagain of course i did, and i think it isn't enough to prove beyond a REASONABLE DOUBT, especially with the way her defensive wounds were just.... overlooked, discounted. i'm not 100% sure it ISN'T darlie, but i definitely have enough DOUBT to say i really think it could definitely be someone else who did it.
barkpeeler2000 9 months ago
@barkpeeler2000 No one is discounting her wounds. I guess I just can't say that enough. THEY WERE A STRONG POINT OF HER DEFENSE. You however, continue to discount the evidence against her. You obviously don't know anything beyond the SS tape and the claim of unshown photos, that's plain to see. If you knew the evidence, there would not be a doubt in your mind, reasonable or otherwise.

@2hereagain All psychopaths are like that. They mourn for themselves. After watching enough of these shows, you begin to learn that the boggie man can be anyone. Even a petite little blonde mommy. MsLourie1 1 year ago
@MsLourie1 The tape was used by the prosecution to show Routier's state of mind only 8 days after the brutal murder of her children. It originated as a scoop on a hot news story for a local TV station and was then used as evidence at trial. It's as simple as that. Don't try to twist it.

@MsLourie1 "So what your saying is that darlie did not use the money for herself? "
What money are you talking about, MsLourie?
2hereagain 1 year ago
@MsLourie1 If you're talking about the TV station paying for the hotel, that's just what they did. It wasn't like they put a chunk of money into her hands and she could do what she wanted to do with it. If that were the case, she probably WOULD have gone shopping for herself. The TV station paid for the rooms in exchange for an interview. It was a way for her to play 'big dog' without it coming out of her pocket. IMO, that is.

The reasons she was convicted don't make sense
MsLourie1 1 year ago
@MsLourie1 What, in your eyes, are the reasons that don't make sense?

I haven't made up my mind yet but

If he was going to kidnap her the boys would of been the threat due to the fact they could have identified him and if darlie fought back she would have defense wounds
