I cant understand how this got first place? All they did was toss the hell out of the rifles. lol. I can admit the ripple line was perfectly in sync, however the most difficult movements were singles at best.
@trinidad128 Synchronization and the actual drill movements are graded more harshly than the difficulty of the rifle spinning. If the movements were difficult, AND they synchronized, they'd win hands down. If there was a team that was synchronized and medium difficulty (like this team), versus a team that had a complicated routine with mediocre synchronization, the more synchronized team would win.
Great sync, but as mentioned before, the spins arn't even basic, they're plain easy. Don't get me wrong you guys are fantastic, my team will never be this good or even close. The percision counts for a lot, but to get the rest you have to do some more complex spins, and then you guys will have a perfect routine : )
@xXDJMEDIAXx actually there are no complex spins necessary in there routine. all that counts is how they preform the exhibition moves not how difficult they are and this has been proven by the fact that they won
Have you guys ever seen the Sam Houston Rifles from Arlington, Tx. For Years they beat up on The Aggies from A&M the Varsity trem Not the Freshman Team. The Marine Core Drill Team Says SHR are the best in the world. College Team
The precision is pretty good, but the spinning honestly sucks >.< I dont know how they got first place; they just repeated the same toss every time over and over again. It really is not an impressive routine at all. The national drill meet at Daytona beach was much better, the precision was amazing and the routines were extremely more difficult.
hey guys, i'm 4rm Ft Worth,Tx, and i was recently promoted 2 sgt. major of special teams and commander of our armed drill team. 4 the past 3 yrs we have been doing nothing but regrulation drill, this year though i was hoping 2 have us do both regulation and exhibition, but i'm starting off 4rm scratch, i really do need help on exhibition, any help will be great
@ininfantrybabi I actually would suggest closely studying this routine and possibly even copying us. Our ASI told us that this year we need a new routine because people are copying us and the AFA asked us to change it up. Just take this routine and put your own spin on it to get your unit up and running for Ex. Good luck.
@Panzerfaust0124 It happens all the time! We can't all be on step all the time but we always correct it. Also, we obviously do it correctly because we won the overall championship!
is this fukng air force? (i dont mean to discriminate the branches; but the air force makes me cry about how sissy they are; just my opinion) wha place did yall come in 1st? Good routine but I just dont like af
nothing, it's just my personal opinion. Strategically their awesome, but for some reason, they just don't appeal to me as much as the Navy. For example:
one day I went to as concert and an afjrotc did the opening color guard. I mean of course it was inside, but none of them were wearing they're covers! Two were armed, and two were holding the flags. Anyways, i felt it was a disgrace to the uniform and our nation. But who knows, maybe the air force is different than the Navy.
I dont know about ir Force regulations but when I do color Guard for my Navy JROTC Unit we where covers indoors. Cause it is a formal duty. And it is normal to have two rifleman and the national ensighnt and service flag thats how color guard is done.
ten four buddy, but uhh; yeah I asked their instructor and he denied them even being involved with the concert. But w/e it's his ass. I'm not trying trying to disrespect, but here's how it works and u know it.:
Navy: SEALS
Army: SF
Marines: SO capable
and
Air Force: Pararescuemen, america's real 911 force.
Air Force is CHair Force but still have to repect them because many have died serving this country and if it wasen't for them Marines wouldn't be able to get anywhere a ship can't go.
Ya the Air Force is kinda sissy now but thats cause they havent fought since WW2.Anyways you in any JROTC you sound like you are.
Yeah i used in jrotc, yeah i was a junior. right now im a junior fire fighter. Anyways, for your 1sgt, mine was better, he would kick your ass. Anyways since I now live in an Air Force town I have grown to respect the Air Force Fire Protection service. Anyways, in WW2 we didn't have an air force. We had the Army Air Corps. The Air force was established in '47, about one or two years after the end of WW2. Either way all in all with maturity comes respect to all branches. What jrotc are you in.
1stSrg might be able to kick my ass but not my 1stsrg. Beleive me if you saw him you would know. 20 years on Okinawa learning all the martial arts and his 6ft solid muscle stance will scare the living beggegies out of you. And ya i don't know why I said WW2 And ive always wanted to be in the Air Force but i have a color difichincy problem so now it has become The few the proud the Marines or the navy. what branch were you in.
until enlist there little devil you should at least know each special unit each branch has before you even dare compare them. and then compare the average, do you know the air force did there pfts on tread mills and bikes? yah i guess u didnt its ok though
Ya Its because i used to want to become a pilot and you can't have any eye problems. But now I want to get into infantry but my parents dont want on the frontlines getting shot at so they want mwe to join the navy.
try doing crazy spins at the same time with 12 people in formation its not very easy most of armed exhibition is just ripples and how sharp you do the basics so i think this is very good
dude, i guess u dnt know, the more ppl in a team, the less advanced the moves should be, they should focus more on being precise, like an individual, doesn't have to worry about timing and coordinating with someone else, and the moves are extremely advance, tandem, have to be in time and coordinated, but not quite so advanced... u know what i mean? and i aint tryin to talk no mess or nothing, i'm just puttin my two cents up here lqtm.... peace....
This routine was incredible. I just started an armed exhibition fascimilie team and we just placed 2nd at the regional level in Alabama. Definetly going to watch this video for ideas. What kind of rifles were these?
In 2008 Collins went to Alabama Nationals and Air Force NIDM, winning overall for both. They Won 2nd at Western Division Final in College Station to Jay. I believe Armed Exhibition tied Jay on points. They decided not to go to Florida because not enough money for a third trip and becuase of scheduling.
I've seen Collins compete with most of the top teams, and those teams are pretty close and all are Great.
they actually got 3rd at western regions, clark had more regulation points which was the tie breaker for them, Jay scored 5 points higher in exhibition. this routine is so simple its almost impossible to mess up unless you dropped it during a toss,
Jay's routine is much more complex which had more difficulty, this routine was just executed very well.
Layered responsibilities is not in the team's routine. It was written from one impact point to another, without development of the team's abilities throughout.
Look, I was on this team when we did this routine, and I'd appreciate it if yall just keep the profanity to yourselves. I know what Jay is capable of, I know what Flour Bluff is capable of, and I know what Clark is capable of. They are all outstanding teams and I have a lot of respect for them. The thing is that we have an entirely different style than those teams. We do a lot of throws and complex moves that dont look as sharp while those other teams do a lot of rifle taps and sharp movements.
no sorry guys don't mean to skull fuck your bubble, but the winner of the real "nationals" competes in daytona. All the second hand schools that didn't get accepted or didn't feel like going up the BEST teams go to Alabama. Oh and the best team for 2008 is devil pups, But Flour bluff is still better. Comment back and you'll choke on some jello.
Collins probably already knows that man. Comon, give em a break. These guys are actually good enough to compete in the Master's Division of Daytona anyways.
For your information the the reason we never go to Daytona is because we can't get the Air Force to give us enough money to go. We've gotten the invites for like the past four years or so to go but just could never get enough money to go. I was a part of this team. I'm the one at the very far right at the beginning (i'm the shortest on the team). And we do use M1's. We just for some reason decided to use Daisy's for this meet.
no way dude, you really think so? I mean its all opinion really but Jay?! they're EXTRA ordinary, this is just border line nationals material and typical afjrotc crap you see on the internet
Are you retarded!? John Jay would whip the shit outta these guys, tho, this is a decent team. Jay is the best Air Force team in JROTC. Plus, they use M1's, which are hard to control and handle than Daisys, 03's etc.
You'd be suprised man. Back in the day, when AF Nats wasn't divided into east and west, my school competed and beat john jay in armed fany squad.
you can call it bad judgement if you want, but I think that my school would have barley, if not at all beat these guys. I'm not putting Jay down, there still my fav team on this earth, but I'm just sayin there is some competition out there.
3:40,3:46 *the middle guy did an extra spin,3:49 the spins were not in a ripple.
im not saying that they suxed because they are far far beyond anything like that but im just saying that was the flaw off the routine *In My EYES* but for a 12 man block 5/5 like i previously stated.
