If you want to protest, protest to the city board, deliberately breaking the law is not the way to go about it. I ride bikes. Have for over 10 years now. It is really simple.... if you are riding or skating a spot and bust out a grind or wax a ledge up even, you just defaced private property. There doesn't have to be a sign for that to be illegal. Do I do it? Sure. When I get asked to leave, I do without really saying anything unless they come out and just start being totally insane, which isn't the case 99% of the time. Signs or not, the minute you grind/wax, you broke the law.

Next time you are in a non BMX friendly park and you get hassled by the police simply state that it is against your civil rights as an American citizen not to be allowed into a public area and if you are denied that right is known as segregation. You have the same rights as skateboarders so you should be able to go where they go and do what they do. Also. When The cop ripped up the sign...That goes against the first amendment. Freedom of speech.

the police routine of the day. 1st they go to the local donut shop. 2nd they go to the car wash they have to have shiny police cars. 3rd they have lunch. 4th they go after the gangs oh wait sorry scratch that one off they go to the skateboard park and arrest the kids for riding their bikes. last but not least the cops drive back to the police station fie some paper work & then go home & say we had rough day. yep we arrested innocent kids cause go after the gangs is hard work.

@rodmanbull, skater daily life. 1st wake up at 2 pm, 2nd don't have to go to job or work sense they drop out of school thinking they be pro's and don't have jobs, 3rd nothing, 4th skate, 5th skate on private property, 6th bitch at the owner for not allowed to skate on private property, 7th owner calls the police you think the police are evil, 8th bitch about how no one likes skaters and wonder why you got arrested, 9th go on the internet till 4 am then fall a sleep.

If their is a sign that says on private property that says no trespassing & if they trespass then they are breaking the law but if their if no sign posted then they are not breaking the law. Also on shopping centers their should be signs that are posted & visible that says no skateboarding & ridding bikes so with in this way everyone is on the page. But like i said before if their are no signs posted what law are they breaking.

I ride bikes. Have for over 10 years now. It is really simple.... if you are riding or skating a spot and bust out a grind or wax a ledge up even, you just defaced private property. There doesn't have to be a sign for that to be illegal. Do I do it? Sure. When I get asked to leave, I do without really saying anything unless they come out and just start being totally insane, which isn't the case 99% of the time. Signs or not, the minute you grind/wax, you broke the law.

I know skaters and BMX riders don't alwaysget along, but I think we can all agree that cops are weak. I enjoy watching BMX riders when i go to skate at my local skate park. I would definetly say something for the riders if i saw something like this going down there.

Next time you are in a non BMX friendly park and you get hassled by the police simply state that it is against your civil rights as an American citizen not to be allowed into a public area and if you are denied that right is known as segregation. You have the same rights as skateboarders so you should be able to go where they go and do what they do. Also. When The cop ripped up the sign...That goes against the first amendment. Freedom of speech.

It sure as fuck wasn't your tax dollars and your not the ones paying thousands for liability insurance. rules are rules... if you think ipods should be free it doesn't give you the right to get a group of people and start stealing ipods... you could protest outside an apple store but thats it.

I'm pretty sure that our tax dollars are (supposed to be) given back to the community by helping to fund things such as schools, roads, and community outlets such as PARKS. As for liability insurance, they understand that upon entering a public park, they are entering at their own risk of injury. All I see are kids who want change and trying to make their voices heard.
