What exactly are reapers? In ME1, Sovereign is reaper which is a ship. In ME2, there was Harbinger and Human reaper.So are they organic life forms or mix of both i.e organic and synthetic? Exactly what do they look like?

@nagaonkaronly Millions of years old machine race. In ME1 they thought first that Sovereign is reaper ship but as you can hear in my trailer "it's an actual reaper". Harbinger is leader reaper. Human reaper was constructed using humans. So reapers are probably increasing their numbers like that. I mean that they will wipe out every organic race advanced enough and then use them as resources to make more reapers. Or somehow exploit them. Check from ME wiki for more sure information

@nagaonkaronly It's explained partly by EDI in ME2 as well when you first come across the human reaper. She says that they are a cross between organic and technical and seem to take their form based on the genetic material used in their creation. Dunno what that means for how the others look as to what lifeform if any caused that shape, but that was EDI's input on what they are made from, and how they look. Also, not sure I liked 2SFH for this video, or not that track, didn't fit.

Reapers say they are above petty mortal vices and desires, yet what other reason for attacking Earth first than for revenge? There is something more going on...

@Markis2bi4 If you've played or observed more closely to the Mass Effect story, is seems the Reapers notice Commander Shepard's ability to take out 1 Reaper, and along with that, stop the Collector's from building a new Reaper than represented humanity.

The Reapers are all about re-purposing, they planned on targetting Earth from the start after seeing their potential.

Eventually they'll go after all other races. Humans have just done much in a small time

@FreonRose except that when Legion explains the difference between heretics and 'true' geth, it's a mathematical function difference that divides them. Repurposing the virus changes the results of the heretic's math, and bringing them back in line. So there might be the 'trauma' legion speaks of, but I don't think all geth will side Reaper.

Nobody seems to understand how one-sided this fight is, we aren't going to win because we are humans, we may win because we have the support of every other race in the galaxy, but the last time 1 reaper attacked, it took out damn-near half of the alliance fleet.
