Good idea!!! I can't wait until tommorow, because I get a JX3P!!! Until now I was only working with modern keyboards or Bontempi. I'm learning lots of things tonite. When I've got my first patches ready, I'll post them too, YIAAAAUUW!!!
Thanks - C4 Tensnake "Dollarbill (remix)? C12 sounds like PWM - I didn't know 3P could do that! With a little Square LFO and some tweaks I got Dam Funk "Mirrors" I've learn't a lot more about my 3P from your patches - thanks!
Patch D6 is probably my favourite... Luscious, evolving strings! D5 seems like a highly modified pulsar. D2/12 are so thick in the bass clef. C-11 = classic! C-16 chuckle chuclke.... Nice job! I'll do the same too if you can tell me how you recorded them on to youtube... I mean edit wise. THANKS!
That has got to be the WEIREDEST method of sharing patches I've ever encountered on the 'net. The concept behind is not new: some TV shows back in the eighties did the same thing.
The tape inteface paired with a computer is so simple and reliable compared to the clunky memory cards & cartridges they put in everything around 84. I can imagine with a tape it would be a nightmare but with a PC where we can see the wave form and record in a low noise environment it workd superbly.
I think I'm going to have to programme the mario tune into my JSQ-60, make an 8 bit style patch on the juno and do a 707 drum track and upload it like this.
I have tons! I think there's six or seven banks on my computer right now. Please do post yours, but do everyone a favour and include a volume warning like I did xD
I'm frightened to do this because I don't know if I saved my patches properly and because this will write over the entire bank and not just one patch I don't know if I'm willing to risk losing all of my self-made patches...
You can use the "Verify" feature to make sure it saved properly. If you did it right, you'll see a light blink across each button (1-16) once for each bank (C and D) when you verify, and then it'll reset to preset A1. If not, it blinks different patterns as the recording plays and flashes buttons 10-16 at you at the end, then reset to preset A1.
Does anyone have the original factory presets for the JX3P? I can't find an MP3 anywhere online. Could you please post the original presets as well?

Hi, thank you for uploading. Interesting sounds.
I would like to contribute - the sounds, that were in memory, when i I bought JX3P, some of them edited.
Available here *filesave.me/file/8708/JX3P-patches2-wav.html*
With your patches I was successful on Thinkpad, but after some work :
- download audio from Youtube.
- in audio editor I deleted one of stereo channel, and made file as mono
- with equalizer I limited basses to minimum
Shall post your edited file as well?

Haha, shit, I wasn't expecting that. Now would be a good time to test my Tape Saving and Loading procedures, then I suppose. Pretty good idea.

Don't forget about the extra bank.
1. Press Tape Load
2. Hold 5 and press Tape Load
3. ????
4. 16 extra user patches!
Not all JX-3P's have this feature.
saynotometro 2 years ago
Yeah, I didn't know about that when I made this vid :) I've never used the extra bank.

The manual describes what to do in great detail.
You can use the "Verify" feature to make sure it saved properly.
