I find the rocket launcher to be the most effective at killing this boss, but because the boss is so jumpy it is hard to time the rockets correctly.

@gokulauri It was a joke. I just had a vision in my head of a gun that shoots cows, and thought it was rather funny.

Also, I'd suggest you look up GAU-8 Tank Killer, GAU-2 Minigun, GAU-12 Equalizer, or M61 Vulcan. These are all Gatling guns, and not one of them has to "Charge".

However, there are some Gatling guns that have a "Cool down" where they fire a few rounds after the trigger has been lifted, because they continue to rotate.

Good video, you certainly don't suck, for you have at least beaten Impossible mode, but there's a lot of things you COULD have done that would've been better.

I think this is one of the cheapest bosses in the game. On extreme, I took out the two guard VS's and got the boss down to half health with over 2000 T-Eng to spare, then it started chasing me around doing unavoidable jump-drops on me. Just beat it with 1/4 health left. Your vid helped a lot!

its level 2 on extreme difficulty, theirs no vs in that boss fight to use. most boss battles in extreme dont have vs's.

All enemys in the game have a weak point. The VS weak point it's the legs. shoot the legs and the VS is much easyer too kill. works on every VS in the game :P

It's not always the legs on a VS. Aim for the part that's glowing with thermal energy.

By using a semi-tweaked version of your stradegy and by getting lucky that one of the VSs got stuck, I managed to beat this with 1300 thermal left. Started with 900 thermal if anyone was wondering.

Anyway, a small tip I can give to beating Extreme is, try to play exactly as the video does and don't get angry. Anger will make you play worse.

I tried this rocket launcher method, but this method didnt work. Try this:

begin with throwing grenades at infantry, get shotgun, stay at that position, try to dmg both VSs equal so that you dont need to battle him simultaniously with Boss. While shooting with shotgun, also throw grenades at VSs. After that you ll have enough T-eng, and no enemys left besides the boss. Boss is easy, avoid the rockets, dont let him get too close, use gattling for range, rocket for short/mid ranges.
