I dont know what i would do if I found 23 rings in 35 hours.....Ive been at it just over a month and have 9 rings total....1 of em is 14K gold with 7 stones...still not as impressive as the vid...NICE!
Fantastic inspirational vid, well done for showing dedication and taking your opportunity. Are you wearing a harness for the metal detector in this vid? I notice you only use one hand to pull the scoop. Would you always opt for a handle when choosing a scoop? Also, if the water is shallow and wave action is minor, do you really need a waterproof Minelab? I have the Explorer II , not the Excalibur.
Wow did you find enough rings? Im 12 and had my garret ace 250 since my 11th birthday and i havnt found any rings yet. Ive found like 10dollars in change but nothing worth more than 50 cents
not bad for 35 hours in the surf...how do you dig the deep signals with that scoop? just wondered? My best day ever 24 gold rings a mate had 54.....but like someone mentioned lots of times not so good Thats when experience helps ..gool luck nice video !!!!!!!!! H from u.k.
This video makes people think that if you buy a metel detector and head to the beach, You will find ring after ring. Show a real time 4 hour video on a slow day when you find 26 cents and see the other side of your all glory video. After this video, I know why 1000s of detectors sit in a closet and rot.
A average day for me in OC is 2 to 4 rings, and they could be anything from SS, silver, gold, and Platinum. This would be from July to early sept, and about 6 to 8 hours... the rest of the year, a few rings but not many..mostly clad...thank Joe
Thanks Laurie, OC rules are fill your holes and I think all beachs are open except assateake. Best hunting time is from july to early sept...Good Luck
I so much enjoyed this video, it amazes me that you lug all this equipment with you able to find so much and still film so wonderfully!!!.
Do you know what the MDing rules in OCMD are? are the rules the same for all beaches? Any input would be great. I know everyone wants to find gold, I am so new at this pull tabs or clad coins sound like fun to me. The gold would be a super bonus! (LOL)
Great video - thank you so much for posting and sharing.. looking forward to others....
Rings...not worth much...But it is lite weight, and has a very high tensile strenght, twice that of stainless steel the same thickness...AND makes the best sand scoop...half the weight of SS, stronger...And a sheet of titianium cost over a thousand dollars. The Ti ring might sell for 20 dollars, if i'm lucky. HH...joe
@OldeBeechnut awesome job man i hope to see you out on the beaches...have you ever tried huntin' around some old abandoned towns like Thompson"s Beach (Heislerville), Moore's Beach(Delmont), or Sea Breeze(near Cedarville)???
Sure looks like a ring or could have been a shell..they often make me look twice because of the color or the round shapes. The ring I had just found before 242 in the water was one of two Gold rings I had found back to back. The second ring was the one after the 20....The Summer of 08 I found 4 rings in a row, within 30 feet of each other. Funny 24 & 42 are my Lucky numbers...thanks for watching,.......Obn/joe
After watching that I don't care if it blows a gale and pisses down all day tomorrow, I'm taking my Minelab to the beach.
