When I was studying electronics, one teacher told us that he always made it a habit to compliment the ladies at the shop counter or bank counter etc. he said that they will always smile when they see you in future and will always give you good service. He suggested complimenting their hair, or dress etc.

So that afternoon I decided to try. I got to the counter at the bank but.. the lady looked like Susan Boyle. I couldn't think of anything.. so I complimented her name tag... sigh..

2. She's planning to match make you, which is also a compliment. So say "thank you" too.
