After trying it for a while, I don't want anything else.
This is also awesome for gaming, the key bindings for changing desktops are very usable while gaming and say.. listening to fast music to micro better and maybe communicate with your allies through msn. The game performance is also awesome with fluxbox.
I know awesome, dwm other tilling managers have a better gaming performance, but I still prefer the windows.
dude... what terminal emulator are you using? i never got tranparency to work. i have xcompmgr running and evrything but it just doesn't work.

Old and immature? Sounds like an oxymoron to me.
It sure is old, but it can still look nice.
Although I like Fluxbox, I prefer Openbox because of the customizability.

Install conky. The config file is hidden in your home dir as .conkyrc. There are several preconfigured .conkyrc files available.
