  • who's train is that

  • AWSOMENESS

  • Like them struggling to go over their train. Looks very real and the scenery is accurate as well. Nice post.

  • Awesome video. Great choice of song with Mary Janes Last dance, this must be a rereleased version, because it is not the original, i know that.

  • it's been a couple of years now, is the loop still covered with snow or has the spring thaw come? (any scenery yet?)

  • 5 stars!! What scale is it?

  • Dude great video, and very realistic speed unit lighting, and end of train device, very nice model of tehachapi loop.

  • nice video, realistic train speed, sounds like it will look great when it's finished. BTW, what's the deal w/"Last Dance With Mary Jane" combined w/ a RHCP song? Was that your creation or did you find it online?

  • Cool - very enjoyable video. Look forward to seeing developments.

  • I went thru the loop on the coast starlight on June 22nd 2008, go see coaststarlight11's videos of it, i was on the starlight headed north out of LA

  • please can you tell me the name of the song because i love it

  • wat kind of well cars are they and who makes them

  • The loop is almost done now. You shold come and see it.

  • usealy on egular day we only aloow 32 or lees becse we want them to fit in all sideing from the 1950

  • the loop started to ge sceanery

  • well the layout was 65% compacted but we have the arignal peson who disiend the real pass

  • do any you gus know if it was on CTC day

  • the ES44AC H3 BNSF IS TOWER 55 O Overland ?

  • Tower 55

  • that is the most realistic sence ive ever seen in HO scale even though its not done! Great job!

  • Thankyou , but i cant take credit, im just a club member the train is the only thing i own

  • Yea I don't know! This Remik1982 guys doesn't respond to questions.. I can't stand peopel who post stuff on Utube and never answer questions. The track above tunnel 9 looks a little off. It should be 77 feet from railhead to railhead. What is 77 feet in HO scale? It looks a little low.

  • I never really check my account , sorry...

  • Well sorry you cant stand me, i dont really check this profile allot... But im glad you pay attention to detail, you are correct its on 55 scale feet on this model

  • The actual loop is a 10 degree curve which is 573 foot radius. That would be 79 inch radius in HO if it were built to full scale.

77 feet in HO is 10.62 inches.

Some selective compression is usually required on layouts.

This is a fantastic representation of "the Loop".

    Kudos

  • what radias is this as me and my dad want to build the Tehachpi Loop. cool loop looks nice

  • the radias i believe is 72 inches, quite big i know

  • so big

  • ho scale

  • This is great! I have been wanting to model the loop for some time, just haven't had the room yet to do so! Do you have a set of SP Tunnel motors! The loop was great in the 80's with SP/SF second generation diesels!! Todays UP/BNSF wide cabs suck! They have no "raw power" roar sound to them..too quiet! and at the loop you want to HEAR those engines roaring upgrade!

Great layout so far..I'd like to see it finished!

  • Dude i never knew Tom petty played with the chilli peppers!

i love how you mixed them together great layout, Onlything wrong is that the container eras dont match and APL only runs on UP But STILL 5 stars!

  • very cool!!!!

  • This club, La Mesa Model Railroad Club, is modeling Tehachapi Pass from Bakersfield to Mojave; almost curve for curve and switch for switch. It is certainly worth a visit. I went there in Dec 2006.

  • very nice, love the ditch lights on the gevo

  • Excellent!!! And a first class music mashup. AAAONE

  • Really nice, love the track work on this too, looks perfect. Nice locos, realistic consist, and it's long. Rare to see a long intermodal train in HO Scale.

  • that is just absolutely insane. Could someone tell me what scale this is in?

  • wow, those are really nice BNSF engines!

  • That is Awesome Man!!

  • i wish i had this setup too

  • A mix up between Tom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

  • Awesome video man I wish I had those engines and cars! that was a long train.

  • Very nice... it was great to see this at the Museum today
