i remember reading about this movie before seeing it, it sounded like a great idea, terrible execution though, the revised freddie looked dumb, they still make him get his ass kicked like a pussy at the end which totally undermines anything sinister he had in the beginning, i think im probably the only person that likes 2 the most from the series
Watching this movie coming to an end makes me happy, thaught the shame would never stop. I've read somewhere they were going to make Freddy look more real, yeah right, he looks like a clown now, and oh no, they burned the fucker again... which means he will rise again... hope the next movie will be way better then this one, seeing this makes me realize too, nothing can come anywhere near the quality of the originals!

And the reason Real Jason was a psycho was because he had been terrorized by Real Freddy, who would also be showing up at some point. And that's all I recall. But the script's floating around.

I miss the good old times. They called them slasher movies, but in the end, the slasher movies are now. More Blood and more brutality thats all you get today. Nightmare on Elm Street 1-3, that was horror.

Here is a little Heather Langkamp\Nancy Thompson trivia:. In 1984, 20 year old Heather played Nancy who was a 15 year old girl. In 1987, Heather plays Nancy again and Heather was 23 and Nancy was 21. The age difference was now only 2 years. Nancy dies in Dream Warriors, but Heather comes back as herself in the 1994 movie at 30 years old. Had Nancy survived, she would have been 25 years old. Which would have went back to being a 5 year difference, like in the first movie!:)
it hink the part where they drove off in the car screaming...I think that was a nancy produced nightmare. Rather a nightmare by Freddy.
The car had freddy stripes but Nancy defeated him already but now shes dreaming he came back and killed them all but later she wakes up and realizes they were dead and it was another nightmare.
well i liked it but there wasn't much suspense to it it did have me at the edge of my seat at time but mostly around the end. and not many people were slaughtered. i prefer Jason over Freddy any day but i still i think this nightmare on elm street was the best, i just love all the characters and how the movie was put together 5/5 :]

There's an over 10 year between gap between the first and this one.
Technically this one's definately better but I wouldn't say it is better at all since this one is more about shock while I found the first one more creepy and suspenseful.

Wow, great ending. Also, I like how the lack of opening titles (besides the New Line logo) heightens the mood.

Here is a little Heather Langkamp\Nancy Thompson trivia:. In 1984, 20 year old Heather played Nancy who was a 15 year old girl. In 1987, Heather plays Nancy again and Heather was 23 and Nancy was 21. The age difference was now only 2 years. Nancy dies in Dream Warriors, but Heather comes back as herself in the 1994 movie at 30 years old. Had Nancy survived, she would have been 25 years old. Which would have went back to being a 5 year difference, like in the first movie!:)

it hink the part where they drove off in the car screaming...I think that was a nancy produced nightmare. Rather a nightmare by Freddy.
The car had freddy stripes but Nancy defeated him already but now shes dreaming he came back and killed them all but later she wakes up and realizes they were dead and it was another nightmare.

well i liked it but there wasn't much suspense to it it did have me at the edge of my seat at time but mostly around the end. and not many people were slaughtered. i prefer Jason over Freddy any day but i still i think this nightmare on elm street was the best, i just love all the characters and how the movie was put together 5/5 :]

I liked this movie, i didnt see much of the personality in this freddy as i saw in the previous films wich i guess is a bummer, and the part where he like unhinged his jaw and was about to eat the kid, wow, if that was around in the 80s i think people would.....yea
