@slwoodyb there is no proof that docking tails prevents injury, only working dogs "could" have this done. It stems from bear baiting and dog fights so that the tail can't be grabbed. It is now illegal in UK/Europe because it can't be proved beneficial for a pet, only painful. I have seen several undocked dogs (pedigree and crossbreeds) and they have healthy, long tails. The USA/Canada allow this cruel treatment, and ear cropping (to look threatening). A tail shows the dogs' mood to other dogs

Only working dogs should have there tails docked, lots of people do it for the fun of it i work in the rspca and lots of dogs have come in with tails docks but you dont see many around know through the health and welfare act 2006 :)

oh dear she's going to be such a lady... her outfits adorable! linus is such a good boy. a lot of people get scared when my rottweiler plays with their kids but she's just as gentle as your boxer. just goes to show that a dog is only agressive if their human is aggressive.

I've had Boxers since I was about her age. I'm nearly 20 now and growing up with them has been a blast. So sweet and animated. GREAT to play with. And I've loved every single one of the 4 Boxers my family has owned. But unfortunately, I don't have too many videos of me playing with them, so this is special and will mean a lot to her when she grows up. :)

Why do people cut off their tails?

@Onaspring Boxers are prone to injuring their tails which can be very painful for the dog. The tails are cropped when they are first born so the pain is minimal.

Really,I'm really amazed by all of your videos,you've really set an example for other parents with pets. Me personally would always have that little fear deep inside thinking "he'll bite her now". I actually adore dogs,but I've always thought that animals can't be 100% trusted,but,you've shown me wrong,thanks :) Only thing that makes me kinda sad is that it will be really hard to say goodbye to Linus when your kids grow up :( Nevertheless,great family,really great videos,keep up the good work!

I watched all your videos and I absolutely adore Linus! It's great you let your kids play with Linus freely! I'm a proud owner of a boxer myself and I must say they are one of the most careful and gentle breed I've ever met - It's sad that not all of the people understand it. They think that a big dog means aggresive and little one is cute and fun, but the only dog that bit me was a dachshund and I'm a big dog lover so I met a lot of them in my life.

@joehoefrommalolo We started training him as soon as we brought him home as a pup, but he was never naturally inclined to be aggressive. Boxers are typically a sweet and often misunderstood breed. People often think they're dangerous when they're really just loveable meatheads ;)

Again, amazing and cuteness overload! Like I said in the last video, it's clear how much these two love eachother. I got my Jack Russell puppy when my little brother was three, and she adored him and spent alot of time watching over him, playing games, she let him put her in his ride on tractor trailer when she was pregnant, she let him handle her puppies, it was amazing - just goes to show that training and confidence pays off.

I love all your Linus and baby videos!!! I have a boxer that is almost 9 now and she still acts like a puppy. She is great. They are so smart. They are the oly breed that i have seen that can gauge their activity level to the child or adult that they are playing with. I will never be without a boxer. Aw she's so cute, and you can tell her speech is improving because before when she talked, there wasn't any noticable accent, now you can tell she's American when she said 'Mommy'. I smiled at that bit. I'm British but I live in France so I have no idea what accent my future children may have. Who knows, I might even move to America to continue my law degree and end up starting a family there. One never knows.
