Wow these guys are very good. I wouldn't even know that they are Japanese if I was blind. I agree that they do a better job than most american bluegrass artists. Awesome!
Awesome.. Do they still play in Nagoya? I will be going to university in Japan the academic year after next and would like to see them play. Also, are there Japanese language versions on You Tube?
@TmplKnght They still play every second Saturday of the month at the Armadillo. They ing everything in English. I've never heard them do an JP song to be honest. I'll try to post more of them soon, as we were there again on the weekend.
To the people of Japan please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you now as you go through this hard time. In the USA are thinking of you and hoping that you you are safe.
Don't know if you realize how difficult it is for foreign performers to sound convincing in the idiom of Bluegrass. These guys pull if off better than most American bands I've heard. GREAT job, guys!
@fatblueman I really enjoyed this. Just like down home in Carolina. You got the right rythm and for those that don't know any better it's called "backbeat". I agree that most progressive American bands don't have it - therefore they don't have "the sound". This is definitely how to play bluegrass. Great job FATBLUEMAN.
If I had listened to this song the first time with my eyes closed and someone asked me where was this group from, I would told them that from someplace in the South. They are just great!
Sounds like the real thing. Dad was a Bill Monroe fan and being from Kentucky, I naturally grew up arond music and picked for the last 62 years. Still picking, kicking and grinning.
Oops, so you're really a Canadian in Japan? Do you live there for many time? :) Is it fun? Are you happy? Do you feel like Bill Murray in "lost in translation" sometimes? Have you seen some Godzilla attack?
You know what always amazes me? No matter what people's original language is,most of the time all accents are dropped and everybody sounds the same. These guys are great and who ever recorded it did a great job mixing.
