what exaclty is being done at 2:09? Ive seen it alot and only on Les Pauls, and Ik the effect it produces but I was wondering what exactly he is doing there to produce said effect.

@KarimisFan Since the Les Paul doesn't have a whammy bad, you can lower the pitch of a string by bending the neck forward. Rhoads did that frequently.

@KarimisFan If you flex it hard enough, you can definitely break the neck. I have cracks in the finish of my Les Paul Custom from doing this. The cracks are right at the heel. Plus, Les Pauls are kinda notorious for having their headstocks break off if you look at them the wrong way. The point is, as long as you don't try to pull a Lou Ferrigno when you're doing it, you should be fine.
