the good thing about sims 1 is that you could make HUGE houses, but now with sims 3 im lucky if i can manage a two story house without it taking the piss to load or something-.-
Naturally Sims 3 owns with it's graphics and options to make no two sims alike but Sims 2 was definitely the best. Each expansion pack offered a load of stuff to do and it had that perfect touch of wackiness and weirdness that kept things entertaining (alien abductions, werewolves, social bunny - the list goes on).

sims 3 in base game has almost every feature the sims 1 and 2 had at the end of their life cycle... plus you have the seamless neighborhood, much better skill system, much more precise building options (moving objects by half steps and placing them diagonaly) etc.
if you think sims 1 and 2 are superior to 3 you are just blinded by nostalgia...
now i am not saying that sims 1 and 2 are maybe more charming, but they are just not beter than 3
My opinion: Sims 1 is more entertaining for kids (No offense if you're not a kid and you still play this ^-^), Sims 2 is more entertaining for teens & Sims 3 is more entertaining for teens and adults. That's what it's like for me anyways. I used to play Sims 1 as a kid, but it doesn't seem as good as it was back then... So now I'm more interested in Sims 2 (I'm 15) and a liiittle bit of Sims 3.

I actually think Sims 3 is the best. i don't believe people are spending as much time on it... and are only staying with Sims 2 because it's what they grew up with. When honestly, Sims 3 has much better graphics, better clothes, hair, building options, and better overall things to do with your sim.
I miss the charm with TS1, and I love the music... TS2 was a little bit "meh" for me, and TS3.. I don't know really. I like it so far, even the music is pretty good, and I like the fact that you can place furniture sideways. The disadvantage is that it takes so much space from the computer :S

@katelyngreerisback no offence but that isnt the games fault. you need to upgrade your computer. the game has ridiculously low requirements. if you did upgrade, youd love it. its sims 2 in everyway except with better graphics and alot more customization.

In my opinion The Sims 3 is easier to play than The Sims 2. I'm totally not thing about buying the original! The graphics are horrible and the sims look like paper dolls. I still play The Sims 2, but I think it's a bit too difficult for me. I think The Sims 3 is the best because it was the first sims game I have played so I'm more used to it and more options for your sims like roaming around town freely. Didn't I mention the sims on The Sims 3 look like Barbies? XD

People keep saying that the sims are ugly in the Sims 3 and when I first got it, I thought that, too. But as I kept playing, I made really pretty sims! If people complain they can't make pretty sims than the really must not be trying very well because I have made some stunners.

Oh wow I'm reminiscing all the hours of playing sims 2!! Damn that was the best game in the world. Then I got sims 3 and...it's GREAT! I've had it for about 2 or 3 years now and I just got an expansion pack for Christmas! It's sooo awesome I -3 sims!
They need more deaths added in sims 3 tho, like when seasons comes out for sims 3 they need to add sickness and mabey heatstroke or bug bite and scared to death for halloween they need holidays and mabey a pharmacy... My expectations are a little high but hey they are good ideas :D
Ok.. I Don't 'Hate' The Sims 3. The original sims is the greatest. I miss the music, the simplicity, the sound effects, even how awkward and blocky every sim was. The sims 2 was great because your sims could age and designing homes had many more options, but the sims 3 in my opinion is so much better. You have so many options, so many different ways for your sims to live. I just want the music and sound effects back from the first game:(

@ToryWillowbrooke15 maybe for the simple fact that they cheated everyone on their money by forcing us to have to re-buy every expansion for the third game and the fact that out can't actually control your Sims INSIDE most community buildings like the first...and only certain versions get actual WEATHER....and also because the only truley online sims game after the 1st came out is shutdown forever! You need different storylines in every game.... And actually, if you don't click anything and just watch your sims walk around the house then they're full of life. The way they watch TV, play catch all that other stuff. They're so much fun to watch and I play it for hours and hours. But of course, to each his own.
@madisyn73 A lot of people hate Sims 3. They say it was only made for money, but I don't believe that. I've watched interviews by the people who made this game and you can tell that they were excited about it and hoped that everyone would play it and have as much fun playing it as they did making it.

@inailboards My Sims don't sleep and work all day. I have them meet new Sims, explore the town or just do whatever they want to do around the house. I found out that if you don't click anything and let your Sims do whatever then they're a lot of fun to watch :)

I think the simplicity of the Sims 1 is characteristic and makes the game that good to me.
Otherwise I love the possibilities, which are given in different kategories: Sim-Design, House-design, clip-making and in gameplay.
Sims 2 wasn't that good - I think. (-; But, maybe, it was the middle of two game concepts, which are really successful.

Oh wow I'm reminiscing all the hours of playing sims 2!! Damn that was the best game in the world. Then I got sims 3 and...it's GREAT! I've had it for about 2 or 3 years now and I just got an expansion pack for Christmas! It's sooo awesome I -3 sims!

They need more deaths added in sims 3 tho, like when seasons comes out for sims 3 they need to add sickness and mabey heatstroke or bug bite and scared to death for halloween they need holidays and mabey a pharmacy... My expectations are a little high but hey they are good ideas :D

Ok.. I Don't 'Hate' The Sims 3. I Just get annoyed that you have to have a good computer and everything to play it, its like high expectations and i don't really have that sort of Computer ;S and i have threw tantrums so many times because it wouldn't work. I Love the Sims 1, I Always played it. like literally everyday.. But The Sims 2 has just gotta be my favorite for now. I Haven't had chance to play the sims 3 yet so yeah The Sims 2 ;) <3

Personally I think the original Sims had the best expansion packs, but Sims 2 is my fave. Sims 3 is is awesome cause its so interactive but i like sims 2 best.

Well all I have to say is: great video! I was not born when sims 1 came out, but I was not even 1 when sims 2 came out, I have sims 3 and I have generations, late night, pets, apartment life stuff, and I have a friends dad who makes the expansion packs for the sims 3 and right now I am in the middle of making my third expansion pack; the sims 3 weather days. The original sims is the greatest. I miss the music, the simplicity, the sound effects, even how awkward and blocky every sim was. The sims 2 was great because your sims could age and designing homes had many more options, but the sims 3 in my opinion is so much better. You have so many options, so many different ways for your sims to live. I just want the music and sound effects back from the first game:(

@ToryWillowbrooke15 maybe for the simple fact that they cheated everyone on their money by forcing us to have to re-buy every expansion for the third game and the fact that out can't actually control your Sims INSIDE most community buildings like the first...and only certain versions get actual WEATHER....and also because the only truley online sims game after the 1st came out is shutdown forever! THATS WHY!

@StuartTheGamerNerd not to be mean or anything but i HATE when people complain about the sims 3 not being like the sims 2!!! What would the whole point of making them the same game??? You need different storylines in every game.... But for real EA is trying their hardest to please us and all we do is complain about how terrible the sims 3 is... we need to appreciate what they have done so far because scripting a game like the SIMS 3 is not an easy job to do

@StuartTheGamerNerd And plus you have to remember that the sims 3 is an open world game which equals no loading times.... If they had every building opened up like the sims 2 then everybody would need the latest alienware (gaming computer) to just play it on minimum settings.... Also weather and other stuff would probably be implanted summer of 2012 because EA is about to release a new expansion pack in march (SIMS 3 SHOWTIME :D) P.S. the dj table is coming back in showtime

@ToryWillowbrooke15 Cus it aint what it was. The Sims 1 were great, the music, the theme. Sims 2 were ok. A bit boring at times. The Sims 3 aren't that interesting enymore. It is cool that you can walk around. But the chars aren't full of life anymore. Sims 3 was made for money. Sims 1 weren't like that they were fun to play. Sims 3 lost the fun to play part. You can't play it for days and don't get bored. When i got to the living part in sims 3 i just lost interest. Do you understand now?

@DemonRoni13 No, I don't understand. I played Sims 1 first then got Sims 3, and I love Sims 3 way more then the first one. Yeah, I did love playing the first one, but Sims 3 is like an updated version with lots more to do. And actually, if you don't click anything and just watch your sims walk around the house then they're full of life. The way they watch TV, play catch all that other stuff. They're so much fun to watch and I play it for hours and hours. But of course, to each his own.

@madisyn73 A lot of people hate Sims 3. They say it was only made for money, but I don't believe that. I've watched interviews by the people who made this game and you can tell that they were excited about it and hoped that everyone would play it and have as much fun playing it as they did making it.

@inailboards My Sims don't sleep and work all day. I have them meet new Sims, explore the town or just do whatever they want to do around the house. I found out that if you don't click anything and let your Sims do whatever then they're a lot of fun to watch :)
