they aren't the same thing but they are both used as a little chant, or pump up word, or whatever you want to call it. Semper Fidelis is latin. it means always faithful. oohrah is the marine trademark call.

Hollywood Marine here and just wait to you have to climb Mount Mutha Trucka or tackle the infiltration course. I was born in New Orleans so I could've gone to either PI or San Diego and I chose San Diego because there was not difference in being in New Orleans or the swamps of PI.

@333harrybob444 - gee one of my best friends was HMX, and I worked at Duke life flight with multiple HMX and 2 marine 1 pilots... the marines at the white house are CEREMONIAL... the Secret Service is in charge of protecting (aka. guarding) the President - swing by the whitehouse and see... it'll be civilian guards that search you and report to the Secret Svc. if they have an issue, and a Secret Svc. sniper, NOT a Marine, that picks you off should you try to sneak on the Whitehouse grounds

On September 22nd 2007 I drove off Camp Pendleton for the last time as a civilian, my body may be a civilian but deep down my soul will always be in Camp Pendleton running up hills, playing fuck fuck games and of course FIELD DAYING!!!! Do I miss all of it??? EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!!!

I always wanted to become a marine. I love my country more than most. but I found a higher calling. I would never abandon my wife. I live for her. I would only join up if this country went to war on a scale of WW2. until then I will stay by her side.

I spent 36 years as a Navy SARC, mostly with Marine recon. I love the Corps, I love it's people, even the females. But I can never get used to the MoTab singing "Semper Fidelis". Sorry. Otherwise a great video, nice to know the D.I.'s have no tlet up like they have in the Navy and Army.

Marines in ww2 were like the german waffen ss [except they didnt kill civilians]. they should have had marines vs waffen ss on deadliest warrior. not commie scum vs waffen ss hahah. Anyway my cousin is a marine, he was in force recon i think. he is still in it but no longer serving over seas. i think he may be a recruiter? I wanted to join this outfit but i would never pass the physical enterance exam, I bet i wont make the army one either. im hopeless xD

I got all kinds of nasty emails messages and crap from this one Church in Kansas, it was tough to deal with.
