I also have 'best scenes' themed 'talking' though, so maybe those are more your cup of tea.

baccano is one of the best anime ever... and its not confusing u just need to pay attention. its actually put together really well for the plot format.
It's kind of like a jigsaw. O.o Kind of...Like, all the pieces are put together, not in chronological order, and, at first, if you don't have the full picture in front of you, you don't know where it's going to lead. But, by the end it's all clear...That's what I keep thinking, anyway. XDD

One because you called Anime Cartoons, probably. Another reason is because you are very incorrect when you said that the majority of Anime tend to have blood involved. Third is do to the fact that you compare Cartoons to Anime in General. Cartoons are mainly for children between 3-12 Anime is mainly watched by people starting from 15-16 and up. At least in the states. But children in japan, as a rule, are more mature then kids in America. For a few different reasons.

I would best compare Baccano to the movie Snatch (the one directed by Guy Ritchie) in that there's a bunch of very different storylines all going on at the same time and they intersect (or collide). Except, instead of a diamond, there's an alchemical elixir for eternal life that's put all these events into motion.
There's a lot of characters who bump into each other (such as mass-murderer Vino and poor Czeslaw) and all are so well crafted and deep that you just have to love them all.
lol poor Czes-kun... I like the part that comes after this scene (the part where they're very very near the tracks). Lol. I love the Rail Tracer, tho. My fave character in this series.
It's not about the 'killing of children' on itself; that's merely an archetypical example. Point is, in anime, they do not shun the darker side(s) of human nature and behaviour. It is therefore a more realistic and consistent picture of the world they are able to use and show in any underlying story. With Western cartoons, it's rather the same old feel-good-do-good cosy-nosy political-correct happy-Hollywood-style... over and over.
It's an overall Western mindset that animation just isn't considered something that's for 'grown-ups'. Rather than embrace it as a viable medium for storytelling and films, most western audiences will look at anything animated, be it CGI or cel-animation or even claymation, and immediately say "oh its for kids" without even watching.
So, Hollywood basically writes off animated films as kids' stuff and bows to watchdog groups who say content like this is in a western film is bad and evil.
I'm not sure why you got -5 for that comment. While people may differ of opinion what is the best anime, it's not to get worked up about, IMHO.
Besides, Bacanno isn't bad, that's for sure - otherwise I wouldn't have included it in my themed scenes. And while I didn't see the english dub of this anime (I se

Iam trying to make a point to you just cant put everyone is statistic unless you would happen to know the back grounds of everyone who watches anime. i mean some kids can be more mature then others i mean thats a fact of life but saying kids in japan are more mature in japan as a rule is stupid.

I would best compare Baccano to the movie Snatch (the one directed by Guy Ritchie) in that there's a bunch of very different storylines all going on at the same time and they intersect (or collide). Except, instead of a diamond, there's an alchemical elixir for eternal life that's put all these events into motion.
There's a lot of characters who bump into each other (such as mass-murderer Vino and poor Czeslaw) and all are so well crafted and deep that you just have to love them all.

It's not about the 'killing of children' on itself; that's merely an archetypical example. Point is, in anime, they do not shun the darker side(s) of human nature and behaviour. It is therefore a more realistic and consistent picture of the world they are able to use and show in any underlying story. With Western cartoons, it's rather the same old feel-good-do-good cosy-nosy political-correct happy-Hollywood-style... over and over.

It's an overall Western mindset that animation just isn't considered something that's for 'grown-ups'. Rather than embrace it as a viable medium for storytelling and films, most western audiences will look at anything animated, be it CGI or cel-animation or even claymation, and immediately say "oh its for kids" without even watching.
So, Hollywood basically writes off animated films as kids' stuff and bows to watchdog groups who say content like this is in a western film is bad and evil.
