unfortunately the bed in my house thsat I bought doesn't have much room from the foot of the bed to the wall - so we no longer play this. But the ferrets still enjoy bed making time - dooking like mad as I ruffle the sheets above them or "accidentally" tucking them in under the fitted sheet and watching them go around figuring out which end is still open LOL Ferrets looooove beds!
Well you clearly don't know ferrets very well if you think this was hurt them. I do - I've had them for over 12 years, I serve on the board of a shelter, run an online ferret forum and my website's been featured in and I've been interviewed by Ferrets Magazine a few times.
They did love it. They'd "dook" the whole time - make this little happy chattering sound and they'd keep jumping down so I could flip them back up on the bed.
All of the ferrets I have now - with the exception of Ringo - are adopted. The three in this video (which is from about three years ago) were all pet store ferrets - all gone now, sadly.
LOL it used to untuck when chubby Duncan jumped down there. It wouldn't work with a 9 lb cat! Plus, alas, my new bedroom isn't big enough for me to stand at the end of the bed and do this.
Isn't that obvious? They're landing ON THE BED. It's just the top sheet tucked at the bottom that they're jumping into and I'm lifting them back up onto the bed.
haha yeah i know, i totally figured that, but like i just couldn't figure out how you got it to stay in place. i tried it the other day, and it didn't really work :( i think i was a little scared to fling her too high, and ended up not flinging her much at all. but maybe i was doing it wrong haha. i'm kinda dumb that way lol
Those sheets are cotton jersey - very stretchy. And they stucked really well. Though when Duncan, the chubbiest of my ferrets, wanted to join in the fun, he hopped down there and it immediately untucked. The others glared at him like "Nice going, fatty - you broke it!" LOL I can't do this in my new place - not enough space from the foot of the bed to the wall!
Awesome! Remember on the FML there was some debate over a couple playing this game with their ferrets? They said the ferrets would return over and over to do it like yours. Others didn't believe them. Well heres the proof, right??

Johnny died unexpectedly just a few months ago even though he'd been fully checked out the month before. Ends up he had lymphoma which we wouldn't have seen without an ultrasound.
how ever did you get them so fat?! i have one and she's a little more than a year.. she's not fraigle but she isn't as "meaty" as yours either...i didn't realize they could get so big...but i have to say, i really enjoy her very much. she seems to be my girl and only mine as she doesn't care too much for the men of the house (3 sons and a hubby) they are all good to her, but mommy is her favorite...she's so docile w/ my 3yr old especially
They're not fat - they'll all of a healthy weight. Have you taken yours to a vet to be checked out? She could just be what's referred to as a "gazelle" ferret. Ferrets have two body types - "bulldog" or "gazelle". The gazelles tend to be more slender. And most females tend to be smaller than males, too.
I have one ferret who eats more than any other, and she's teeny-tiny skinny. ^_^ But definitely healthy - she's just a tiny girl. ^_^ Must be that gazelle you're talking about! My other two are bulldogs. =D

The thing to consider is that once they turn four to five lots of diseases can rear their ugly heads - insulinoma, cardiomyopathy, adrenal disease, lymphoma. Last year I spent about $3K in vet bills with three ferrets sick at once. Right now everyone's healthy but it's only a matter of time. Do NOT get ferrets on a whim - research them entirely and make sure you have the means to care for them throughout their lives. LOTS of ferrets get dumped at shelters once they get older and sick.
i toatly agree with you i have 13 ferrets and 7 were adopted. and a lot of them ended up at the shelters because people didnt know how to take care of them. i just told someone else that to because i cant stand it when people who dont know how to take care of them think they'ree cute and decice to get one with out knowing how to take good care of them. :)kelsey

I've seen kits for around £15 and older ones for between £25 to £30. I'm going to my local pet store though to see how much they are and what they are like. I'd ideally like to buy from a breeder though, I might check out rehoming a ferret.
Have you researched ferrets? They are VERY expensive animals to care for. Vets that treat them are few and far between and with ferrets prone to various cancers and diseases as they age vet bills can get ENORMOUS. Ferrets are NOT a pet to get impulsively so please learn all about them before even thinking about getting one.
Yeah, I've taken this greatly into consideration. I'v been reading up on ferrets for about a year and a half now. I dont plan on getting one until the end of this year minimum, I'll have finished my studies by then etc...thanks for the reply though :) kewl vid.

Johnny Rotten is the one who's dark grey with white paws. Oliver is the one who's pretty much white. Andy's the silverish one. Sadly I lost both Andy and Oliver earlier this year to cancer.

Look at the "Sit Up Roxy" video. We actually had a hand in that scene :) They're not easy to look after - they're a lot of work. And vet bills can be crazy expensive. But they're a LOT of fun!

we have three ferrets and they LOVE to be tossed onto our bed...come back for it over and over everytime without fail.

I had tile at my place in Florida and my one cat, Todd, would give the ferrets a whack and send them spinning like a bottle lol They'd stop spinning and run the wrong way then turn around and go "Where'd that damn cat go?" :)

Johnny Rotten is the one who's dark grey with white paws. Oliver is the one who's pretty much white. Andy's the silverish one. Sadly I lost both Andy and Oliver earlier this year to cancer.

Your birds keep coming back for more flying action! lol that's funny. Our birds like to be placed on the office chair and spun around. Some of them like to be tossed off of pillows and bean bags. Cute video.

Look at the "Sit Up Roxy" video. We actually had a hand in that scene :) They're not easy to look after - they're a lot of work. And vet bills can be crazy expensive. But they're a LOT of fun!

OMG!! MY ferrets LOVE that game too! Check out my ferret snorkel trick they do too! Your ferrets are super cute! I love when they wrestle in the part of the sheet off the bed- I call that the ferret blender! Too cool.. guess ferrets all over love the same games..
