Your timing was fine, flowed nicely. First time I heard this I was baked laying on the couch with XM Radio playing in the background but by the time I got to the remote it was too late to see who it was. Took a bit before I figured it out but when I did I bought the CD which is actually really good.
Man, I remember when I first heard this song a few years ago. I thought it was pretty awesome, loved the beat and stuff. Thought I understood it then, but I sure as hell understand it way better now. Life really can be a drag sometimes. Still love it, though as well as the song!
kickass song. the first time i heard it, i thought "wow, this is a good song"
after hearing hard to beat, i actually thought hard-fi were a one-hit wonder at first. when i realised that they also did gotta reason and living for the weekend, i realised what an ass i was.
i never knew they did cash machine as well, and if i hadn't picked up the album after happening to notice it in a shop a few weeks ago, i still wouldn't. in fact, i only recognised it after i played it on itunes!

this music is on the Blood and Chocolate movie but idk y they didnt put it in the Soundtrack...i was like ''wtf?''
its my favourite music from the film and i had to search for it, the worse was that i couldnt understand wut they were saying in the music and i had to search on google for a bit till i find it by ritting ''go to a cash machine''
i was like hours looking for this and i could find it just by ritting that thing --'' i was like...screw u! ._.'
@SilverWolvesEye, I had the exact same problem, I just listened to it a million times and tried to figure out what he was saying, it took me two weeks
@dopeypenguinlove you mean the "my girlfriend's test turned blue...we tried to play it safe?"...well that's what you get when you have no self-control whatsoever. that's why i've been masturbating since i was 11. it's all about pulling out with this guy ^ ^
Neither does the lyricist of the song - the context of the situation explains that we are all "working for the cash machine" in that we are all dependent on money to the point where if you don't have it (or even in the fear of not having it) you can't afford to do things that you want to do. Ergo, our slavery to economics ruins our rationality and skews our priorities. Quite an interesting point, and a very well-done song.
love this song, a song you never forget the words to
