  • This song was one of my late aunts favorites. She was pure old school. It brings back msmories!

  • Real talent and effort; Live vocals, guitar, bass, horns, piano, and drums, played by humans, What a concept.. T.V. network, this pogram KILLS American Idol or the X Factor. Thanks for the SOUL !!! : )

  • Have they given the world's smallest microphone to such a large man, or... oh my god, is the microphone normal size?

  • Superb!

  • There were a number of R&B tv shows like this before "Soul Train" in the 1970s. Here in South Carolina, there was "Jump Time" in Charleston in the early 60s (never saw it, but heard about it from older folks) but I'm lucky enough to remember Columbia SC's classic "Job Man Caravan" which ran from 1968 to the early 90s with Bill Terrell.

  • Thank you for this classic sixties style vid. It reminds me of Beats. Beats was a Saturday evening all soul program aired on KCOP Channel 13 back in da days. Famous soul artists would come to Los Angeles from as far away as Detroit and New York to perform live on Beats.

  • GREAT MILTON...............

  • I'm 22 years old and I have to say thanks and praise to the Most High God for this music. This type of music is the reason why I'm a Pre- Law major and not a 'thug' on the corner peddling drugs. Thumbs up for modesty and a good upbringing!

  • So much soul... God bless Little Milton

  • little milton play the blues whit a whole lotta soul

  • you might be playin' the sax in band with your pants legs way up off the ground.... but we gonna make...

  • He sounds just like the recording. Love Mr. Milton! He sure grooves!

  • Great Show! Finally a REAL Go-Go dancer that's African American that's finally being shown with an African American Artist dancing on-key with the music!!! I've always love Little Milton music as a child. Older people in my neighborhood would have yard parties and play his music, and I'll listen to it while outside playing! ALL THUMBS UP!!! THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!!

  • this is just great stuff tyvm for putting this on

  • Lovin the go-go boots days, You too Milton!

  • LOL! The Dancers in the Back Ground sure are getting it! LOL! <3 Awesome! :)

  • THE!!!! BEAT was a 1/2 hour syndicated Rhythm & Blues and Soul music TV show out of Nashville, Tennessee. It ran for one year (1966) and all the episodes were in color. THE!!!! BEAT was hosted by pioneering R&B disc jockey Bill "Hoss" Allen who interviewed the artists and kept the proceedings moving along. Many of the songs were performed live in the studio with house band, The Beat Boys, led by the R&B legend, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown.

  • Gatemouth Brown's band at the time with Gate on guitar and Billy Cox (Jimi Hendrix, Band of Gypsies) on bass.

  • Wonderful performance, I'm guessing it has to be from the '60s. Does anybody know the name of the show or the year?.

  • @goldenoldiesPete It's a local Texas show called "The Beat" (from early 1966).
