  • this game is so awful, wtf. combo taking out half a characters health? this is like some tatsunoko vs capcom crap.

  • i think they need to nerf nu

  • They nerf her so badly that her name had to be changed.

  • @darkpwnage09 You mean lambda shes a perfect character. By perfect i mean well balanced weak offense good defense like a zoner should be. Unlike Nu in CT who was good at both and did insane damage for easy hits and long range attacks.

  • Plain and simple HNana did not let Goryus play standard Nu. He didn't just sit back and wait for his chances, he got in Nu's face and made Goryus try and CC for the win, which is a mismatch in favor of Noel. If Goryus had kept him out it could have gone a different direction, but that is the way this matchup plays. For the record the matchup on the Tier list is 5-5 even.

  • Very nice Noel. I say good job to both players. As for the tier discussion that was going on here, IMO, while Tier lists do show which characters do better than others, it's based on the results of tournaments (or so I've heard.) So how I view Tier Lists, it's all about who can play more mind games/bait their opponent more into messing up and getting a good combo off. While this does take some part of how the character plays out, it also depends on how the person plays the character as well.

  • Nice match. I wonder why the Nu player tried to get into close fighting? It´s not her forte.

  • Because most people don't expect a Nu coming in close. I love how he goes in when he can and just retreats, as opposed to a lot of other Nu players that just run for their lives the whole game.

  • That is a good point. There are some mean combos that derive from melee combat with Nu...

I got to know this personally. But I rarely see that kind of Nu unless it´s a friend that is beating the crap out of me :p

  • Asdfedc - You seem to forget the fact that Goryus is one of the best Nu players in the US.

  • The Nu wasn't crap, moron. HNana lives in Japan so he got to practice regularly against the absolute best players in the world. That's why he won. Goryus made it to the EVO finals, can you say the same thing?

  • EVO finals meant all the difference in the world BECAUSE people knew how to play the game well enough to be on a competitive level. Texas, NYC, Nor Cal and So Cal have a competitive BB seen at their local arcades.

Even HNana complimented that Goryus plays on the same level as JP Nu's. Also Goryus was responsible for knocking him into losers. You're right in saying that HNana had the better yomi game, but that doesn't mean that EVO finals were meaningless cause nobody to rival him.

  • All decent Noel users who know the combo just use the same fucking combo to rape. All it takes is that misleading overhead to hit and you're juggled down 55% hp.

  • cuse it's prolly the best combo the deals the most damage.. and it leads to knockdown. which sets her up...also her mixups meh... she's alot better baiting shit and look for fuck ups rather then mixin up.. it's okay to mix it up but.. nobody really should get hit by her 6B that much.. it should be only use cuse you used it sparingly

  • And in what way is it any different for Nu, Tager, Jin, Ragna etc etc?

They all have their combos that deal a lot of damage.

If you get close to Nu and your opponent doesn´t get away it is pretty easy to make damage to her. And why people keep getting hit by 2C this much I will never learn.

If it is a well known combo then you know how it starts and what you have to watch out for. Given high level play it is amazing that this combo is used so often.

  • I hate when people keep talking about top tier and low tier jeez what does it matter. This video is plain proof that tier in a tournament of pros means nothing.

  • Tier always has a *slight* bearing, but Blazblue is such a balanced game that tiers mean very little. Some matchups, however, are incredibly one-sided.

  • Rob50185:

Unless it is Tager against a Nu or Arakune or Bang against Arakune, etc. I agree that tiers mean LESS at super high levels of play, but it still gives advantages to certain characters, since lower tiers are forced to play defensively or take more risks.

  • Actually, tiers matter more in high level game play. Learning curves matter more in low level game play.

  • wow that was practically totally one sided. Was this really the finals for Blaz Blue? I though it would be more of a close match.

  • MikeZ would of made that more entertaining

  • :50-:53 was pretty smooth

  • love the noel

  • you should not be allowed in tournaments.

  • Excuse me, but didn't a Nu played by a good player JUST got destroyed by a MID - TIER character in THIS VERY VIDEO?

  • yes that takes not skill to play v-13 lost!

  • hmm....he made it look so easy

  • Damn it Tushar

  • Suddenly I <3 Noel much more. Thanks for uploading!

  • Heartnana plays a kick ass Noel.
