First of all: Hopkins put Calzaghe on his ass. Then Calzaghe windmilled his way to a decision, which was a split decision to begin with. Hopkins landed the more meaningful punches and proved to be the more skilled fighter.
Calzaghe was more busy so he got the nod. But to be honest with you, he looks like a retard slapping his opponents like a girl. His 4 or 5 slapcominations are tough to deal with, even for a LEGEND like Hopkins, so I take my hat off to Calzaghe. His style proves to be effective
