  • Hopkins totally dominated this guy.A dismantling of a great fighter.Trinidad was never the same.

  • but hes one of the best!!!!!!

  • trinidad had a problem with tecnique skilled fighters

  • Hopkins totally destroyed Trinidad bigtime. Trinidad was never the same. Hopkins was a man amoungst men. This was a first class butt kicking.

  • one of the best right hooks I've ever seen. right on the button.

  • Anyone who says this was a mismatch is kidding themself, lying, or is too young to remember. Trinidad was a huge favorite (almost 4:1). Nobody thought he was too small for middleweight, because he was always a VERY big welterweight. And the way he handled William Joppy proved he belonged. At the time Joppy was considered to be just as good as Hopkins was, and Trinidad took him apart easily....Hopkins' was largely unknown at the time, because he refused to sign a promoter.

  • is it not amazing that hopkins is still at it. legend

  • @bobbydigital05 bhop was lucky to win this fite 9-11 was the reason trinidad lost king had him runnin around saving people out of burnin building da week of da fite meanwhile hopkins sat on his ass burning da puerto rican flag

  • @josejaku Should of never been in this fight not his weight class..This is all about getting the money..Anyone with half a brain knew Trinidad would be in trouble..Look how blown up he got for this fight.Clearly not an even fight..He should of stayed in his weight class and finished his career.Bad way to go out.

  • @biziswinning, after he ko'd joppy, EVERYONE! all the nuthuggers were saying how he was gonna be one of the best middleweights of all time and how he was gonna dominate this class too, excuses excuses!

  • @biziswinning nothing to do with the weight. he lasted 12 rounds of punishment. tito was relying soely on a one punch ko that never came. he stopped throwing combos like he used to, and bhop never let him set up and throw he kept moving, jabbing, and holding. tito lost to a legend.period.

  • trinidad was always taken to school by superior boxers, much like jc chavez. they were brilliant at what they did, but completely unable to adjust in the ring.

  • Trinidad just didn't belong in the middleweight division

  • How can people talk shit about calzaghe then big up Hopkins, Calzaghe may not have many hyped up names on his list but they were all true 168lb contenders and he never lost Hopkins has 20 defences against nobodys and welterweights and he's lost 4, ppl say JC ducked prime RJJ, Hopkins ducked RJJ for 10 years and ducked prime J Toney B-hop ain't no SSR or Hagler

  • @187BUTCHER true knowledgeable boxing fan and i agree 100% with your comment well played mate

  • Hopkins looks great against blown up welterweights like winky tito odlh but he looks like a pussy against natural 168 and above, in the calzaghe fight he acted like a bitch in the rematch with jones he acted like a bitch fuck him jones jr is the greatest

  • @187BUTCHER

You're forgetting Hopkins' superb wins over Kelly Pavlik and Antonio Tarver - neither of whom were "blown-up welterweights". If it bothers you so much when other people "talk shit" about Calzaghe, maybe you shouldn't be talking shit about Hopkins. Because that is EXACTLY what you are doing. Hopkins has been guilty of a couple of very negative performances in recent years, but he is unquestionably a Hall of Famer.

  • Tito's a scrub. He had it coming after claiming to "beat" De La Hoya after he got schooled in that fight.

  • @Shirashama, true! oscar laid out the perfect blueprint to beat the one dimensional fighter that is tito, all somebody had to do was have the stamina and endurance to keep it up all 12 rounds and proof that tito wasnt even a great fighter to begin with.

  • Agree w/both of you guys (Shirashima, liberal185), although maybe I wouldn't describe Trinidad as a "scrub." Oscar, indeed, schooled him.

  • True, the media made too much of Trinidad after the De La Hoya fight when he clearly lost it! I don't even like De La Hoya, never did especially after his fight with Chavez but he won that fight.

  • @smilenowcrylater9 He won that one but he lost against Ike Quartey (the 12th round was not enough to win it) and at 130 against John John Molina - watch that fight! All fighters get breaks, Tito got one against de la Hoya...

  • @smilenowcrylater9 You don't run like a bitch and win fights. Fact of the matter is he did not close the fight..Great boxers close fights.

  • it hurt me when I saw Tito get beat like this thats why I was happy to see Calzaghe and Taylor beat Hopkins.

  • @Damondeeh20 what a gentleman you are.

  • But Hopkins is great I cant deny that.

  • Nah, I'm American and I wouldn't call it football. It should be called hand the ball to receiver or some other crap.

But yeah, Abraham might win the Super 6.. or maybe even Carl Froch!

  • Hopkins is an all-time great, he would give the stiff Abraham a boxing lesson. I know you hate Americans, American boxers, and everything America stands for, but take off those blinders, liverpool80000seater... Hopkins is an all-time great, Abraham's not there yet. Also, Liverpool won't even taste the Premiership any time soon! :)

  • what are you smoking son???????? Calzaghe is WACK!!!!! his boxing is lame i don't care how many times he wins. slap happy sucks

  • that was a right cross, not a right hook. hopkins is not a southpaw.

  • that right hook was ugly! im surprised tito even tried to get up...

  • Just sent youtube a complaint e-mail about account abuse :) I'll be sending one e-mail a day, just because I feel like it :D

I'm pretty good at writing these kinds of letters and I have some free time on my hands. I've found some more examples of your spamming and gave links to the videos.

Let's see how long you last.. Better make a word document with all your favorites cus your account will be deleted soon...

    Have a nice day!

    Kind regards,

  • He dragged himself up 2 divisions to fight Antonio Tarver. Hopkins isn't famous for being a big puncher, instead he beats his opponents by taking away their assets and making it HIS kind of fight. He can do this because he has so much skill, he can switch styles.

He has fought the stiffest competition you can imagine and he came out on top. Boxrec has him p4p champion again so keep hating, it's obvious you know nothing about Hopkins. You have any idea how many title defences this man has? Guess

  • @LennoxLewis86 Agreed. I got to see Hopkins fight in Atlantic City early in his career. He was amazing. When I heard he was fighting Trinidad. I predicted he would win. I was right. I saw his skill, and think everyone took him lightly. People forget that Bernard was a champion as well when he fought Trinidad. He was not a contender.

  • First of all: Hopkins put Calzaghe on his ass. Then Calzaghe windmilled his way to a decision, which was a split decision to begin with. Hopkins landed the more meaningful punches and proved to be the more skilled fighter.

Calzaghe was more busy so he got the nod. But to be honest with you, he looks like a retard slapping his opponents like a girl. His 4 or 5 slapcominations are tough to deal with, even for a LEGEND like Hopkins, so I take my hat off to Calzaghe. His style proves to be effective

  • Guy...

Quit spamming the commentbox. If you don't like Hopkins, go write a book about it. Most people watching this video admire his legacy.

Calzaghe is a great fighter but he hasn't been close to being p4p champion. B-hop DID achieve this, thus he has the greater legacy. There's nothing more to say about it, Hopkins is the better fighter and he has beaten WAY more name fighter in their primes.

The funny thing is, he's not done yet. He WILL add names to his record while Calzaghe sits still...

  • Pavlik and Tarver are bigger guys, especially Tarver who is a natural light heavy. At the time he fought Tarver, he was considered one of the best fighters active. Pavlik is 6'2 and Tarver is close to 6'3.

How can you say he picks on smaller guys? Those were his most lopsided wins, he totally schooled the bigger guys.

  • before this fight i never thought hopkins could fuck his ass up but he shocked the world!!!

  • Schooled

  • is that not the nicest right you have ever seen?

  • Joppy was Trinidad's first fight at middleweight. Then he fought Hopkins and lost. Then fought once more and retired for a while.

  • thats true

  • shoot at that time, trinidad was not just a welterweight. he was smashing people, including joppy who was a middleweight champion at the time. you will never appreciate hopkins if you dont appreciate him by now.

  • i do appreciate him just not for this win. without this win he is still one of the best.

  • this is one of my favorite fights, they were fightin after the bell a few rounds it was awesome to watch. and hopkins biggest win

  • Two great fighters in a great fight. Hopkins dominated that fight, but respect to Tito, he never gave up and still kept coming, although outboxed and hurt. Only a fighter with the champion's mentality does that.

  • I agree...Bernard said his plan was to get Tito mad at him so he would fight angry rather than with tactics, and it obviously worked....Mad props to TT for having such a great heart though!

  • Man Tito's bubble burst big time. I remember thinking he was the one who was going to go home with the KO victory.
