  • I think cmc glue is just wallpaper glue which contains Methyl cellulose (Many origamist use this to stiffen the base in order to make the details properly.

  • where did you use cmc glue????and how did you get the legs????

  • i found the instructions on MegaUpload! (R.I.P)

  • i doubt any1 could make it that far...

  • some people are just amazing!

  • can you please tell me how you made it?

  • wow i wish i could make that!!!

  • @Origamichannal You can't find the instructions cuz Kamiya won't approve it

  • para my es una cosa orrible casi me duermo sin ofender

  • For me using a HomeMade Tissued Foil in Ancient Dragon will be Lame, If You Had Tissued Foil And if its finished it will look like a plastic action figure and very bad because if you folded you wrong ,you will be consistent and just shape it RIGHT??

  • in the diagrams, for steps 234-241 (the neck folds), r they rlly necessary? i decided to omit the steps, and actually finished the model. I'm just wondering, did u take out those steps or did u do them?

  • WHERE I BUY THE PAPER OF ANCIENT DRAGON???

  • Is it just the CMC glue that makes the toes look like claws?

  • LOL SUPERBSPURGE!!! I downloaded zhe book

  • i find this pretty easy!

  • Dude, where th heck did u get a book to teach u that?

  • @zwettles The book is called "Works of Satoshi KAMIYA 1995-2003". you can get this book at the origami shop or an origami website. i live in San Francisco so it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to find until i finaly had went to japan tow by the golden gate bridge are. THEY HAD IT IN THE MALL( i ordered it)!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can get it also there

  • @akikm99 he cant lols. satoshi kamiya wont let anytone post tht

  • Where you find your paper?

  • I am the biggest fan of Satoshi Kamiya!

  • divine dragon is harder, the ancient just takes more time to fold because of all the reverse folds while making the horns

  • @Jonbirnil Maybe, but the ancient dragon is way better looking than the divine!

  • Ancient Dragon is surely much more harder than Bahamut Divine Dragon. If anyone does not believe, let's try..... I got their diagrams

  • @buichinh5 WRONG the ancient dragon is much easier than bahamut

  • can you make a tutorial 4 the cp?

  • which is harder divine dragon or ancient dragon

  • Finally I got it with your help, Tadashi. Thank you very much.

  • i dont know but tadashimori do you agree with me that the dragon is fairly easy...?

  • Whats the gramature on this paper?? About 50?

  • ancient dragon difficulty level?

  • @Tornsoul3695 Damn fuckin holy shit impossible frikin hard level.

    no seriously, it's very difficult

  • how to do step 136

  • wat's paper is it??

  • @Airflaree No offense, but are you incapable of reading two posts down? I just addressed that very soon before...

@pulgaorigami dunno where he bought it, but he lives in San Paulo.

    Best regards!

  • nice. thanks, dude.

  • and were did you buy it?

  • wich paper did you use for this video?

    and what size?

  • @pulgaorigami its 50X50 cm

  • @pulgaorigami Its a type of washi

  • what kind of role is it?

  • Hi Tadashi,

I was just wondering, what size paper did you use?

    Thanks, Joe =-)

  • People!(what im about to post has NOTHING to do with this video but idk where else to post it)

SCISSORS CAN BE USED IN ORIGAMI!!!

Have you ever said that a painting that uses two or more techniques is not a painting?

  • @mobradovic00 The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami.

    (wikipedia)

  • @emporerXevious Wikipedia is made by anyone. And there are more people who thinks you can't use glue.

I particularly do not like to cut the paper, because it removs the complexity of the origami, but almost every good artist uses cmc glue and wet folding. Most of Robert J. Lang arts has glue, Brian Chan, Kamiya satoshi, Eric Joisel, all of them uses CMC glue.

  • @mobradovic00 yes you can do whatever you want. but alot of people like to do with folds rather than cut paper as it takes more skill and you have to think about how to do the same thing without taking short cuts

  • @ukguy Dude(or girl dude),I didn't say it's harder with scissors!I said you can use them.The end.Fin.End if story.

  • @mobradovic00. it is still a painting. but if i say "this is a finger painting" and i used paint brushes... it is no longer a finger painting, it is just a painting.

now if you use scissors, this is no longer origami. but it is still considered paper craft.

  • can you just tell us what kind of washi this is? i google searched washi, but there were too many kinds to search through, so just tell us the name please:)

  • @Hellome360 This one is called "Minamo"

  • @tadashimori did you get it from world paper? I found it on their website, but I live in the UK so i sent them an email asking how I can buy it.

  • @Hellome360 I buy at world paper because it´s here in sao paulo, so I go to the store to choose the paper.

They said they´re not exporting it. But there must be a way to buy it from internet... I just cant find...

  • @tadashimori Thanks for the help but after a while of searching, I managed to find a store selling loads of fine japanese papers in the UK - its called Shepherds Falkiners. I found a red washi called moriko kozo (40gm/m2) and it seems fairly good for this model. Its that or some nepalese tissue (30gm/m2) which also seems pretty nice. cheap too :)

  • @Hellome360 scratch that, I found another UK store selling a pack of large straw silk paper in different colours (25g/m2) for a very good price. will a single 50 cm^2 sheet with methylcellulose be good for this model?

  • @Hellome360 25g/m2 is really thin.

By 50cm^2, you mean 50 x 50cm? I'm not sure, I've never tryed to use this kind of paper . I made the fiery dragon with a paper exactly like this and the result was good.

  • @tadashimori well your the expert. If you think that 25g/m2 is too thin, I also bought another kind of paper. Its called Batik Ino Sho (18g/m2). I could make double tisue out of that so it would be 36g/m2. Would a 50 x 50cm sheet of that be better? the only thing is the straw silk comes in red dand dark red( both of which I ordered) but the other one only comes in white.

  • @Hellome360 I can't really know because I don't know it the paper is strong and if it holds the creases. Only knowing the gramature is not enough.

Btw, 18g/m2 double tssue gets more than 36g/m2 because of the glue.

Any gramature between 40~70 is good if you use a big paper and prepare it propperly. But as I said, it's hard to say what's the best paper because it depends on lots variables. So basically you need to try different kinds of paper and find the berst one for you.

  • @tadashimori Okay, thanks for being helpful :) Il make it out of both papers and I'll TRY to send you the photos:D

  • @tadashimori btw, would it be possible for me to send you the money, for you to buy the minamo washi, and to send it to me?

  • @Hellome360 this is a very good idea

  • I dont know how to say this....

    Well,YOU'RE DRAGON IS EPIC!!!

IT LOOKS BETTER THAN WHEN SATOSHI KAMIYA FOLDS IT!!

    not joking

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • omg bro i have to find that paper it looks amazing

  • WOW...this is amazing! Great work man!

  • help me with step 42!!!!!!!!!

  • do you think tant paper is good to fold this model...or do you sugget another kind of paper...cause i have a lot of difficulty about the size...i find only little size of paper sheet...

  • Comment removed

  • @Bigboss86100 you should use tissue foil ,but if you are going to use tant use a large sheet like 65 x 65 ;)

  • where can i buy the paper u ae using in this video???

    please reply :)

  • @CirciSurfMusic I really don't know.. I bought at a store near my house, and it's the only place i've ever seen selling this kind of paper.

  • Did you make it look undetailed at the start to show everyone how to make it detailed?

  • what size paper was the one you used in the vid?

  • @blameitonthe7yearold

recomended size is 50cmx50cm or bigger =)

  • nice video =D

  • PERFECT white table top

  • hey tadashimori, great vid, but do u think u could do a tutorial on how to make a mask? or ideas on how to make a mask?

  • can I make it with another paper also the craft one?

  • where di you get your paper

  • How big was the paper you used to make that dragon?

  • hahahahah i made it

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know why, but I like your finished model more than Kamiya's

  • which book was this from?

  • @3eneboy Works of Kamiya Satoshi

  • @tadashimori can cartolina paper works

  • @tadashimori can 30cm-30cm work for me???

  • @tadashimori do you have yhe book licence to fold

  • thanx a lot for this video ! it help me a lot ! peace !

  • It would be nice if he could teach this from the beginning or whats the point,

    I still can't do it.

  • Tadashi Mori Olá bom conhecer os chifres do dragão são os mais difíceis para mim, mas vou tentar cumprimentar o pedido de desculpas mal escrito ... lupiyo ..

  • Did you use plain washi, or did you MC treat it or something else, and how good will mulberry unryu MC treated do for this model? (same size 64*64cm)

  • @bonebreakboy It was treated with CMC glue (MC also will be fine)

Mulberry unryu MC treated... I never tried, but if you make a nice work with MC glue I think it'll be a good choice... But I never tried it with this model and it may be kinda difficult to fold a thin paper like the unryu.

  • @tadashimori you turned ugly legs into amazing claws! did you use cmc on the legs too? they look so cool! =)

  • he is kind of 'pushing' the limits of what he is allowed to show isn't he?

  • @Jestinhall Yup. It's something that won't make Kamiya Satoshi sell less books. In fact, this would make he sells more books.

Also, this video will make less people ask me for the full tutorial =).

I hope that no one gets angry with this videos.

  • @tadashimori can you make a help steps of the Divine dragon (bahamut) PLEASE!!!

  • @TheKize1617 I've never done the bahamuth, but I'll try once to see if I can get good results.

  • @tadashimori ok thx BTW

  • how big was the piece of paper?

  • what type of paper would you reccomend for this model?

  • @MrCalvic i use a tisue foil but tadashimori might use something diferent

  • @MrCalvic I was using a 65x65cm washi paper. I don't know if it's the best paper but the result is quite good.

you can use a Tissue foil, the result gets nice and its cheap. Good to practice.

  • @tadashimori thank you i will try the washi and tissue foil papers, because all the other papers I tried just didn't fold the way I wanted it to for this project.

  • ei vei tem que usar esse tipo de papel mesmo? Ele eh mto mole >_<'

  • I know what I'm making next
