progressive, power metal, metal, heavy metal.. I dont care. I listen to music for the music. Syu plays very good and he has some unique sound in his mind and fingers. He is one of the huge guitarist and is not relevant if is the god of power metal or progressive. Is like countrys, borders.. they are not necessary, the humanity likes limits seems

@Tritono9 ya but analysis is especially helpful for individual to develope there own style so by debating and discovering the strengths and flaw in other guitarist we can work on our technique and see wat we think is needing improvement in the musical society

Wow, syu is the best power metal guitarist to ever live. Even better than x japan. Syu must of came up with like about 150 songs and solo things like that complicated crying thing. I don't believe that ppl could compare guitarist from diff genre. Or make an overall best guitarist cause there from diff genre. So idk y jimmi hendrix is num1 overall guitarist. Might be da best at his genre but not power metal. So syu is the best power metal guitarist, I dnt care wat anyone says

@XBLOODYTRIGGAX What you dont understand is that Syu isnt a powermetal guitarists lol.. He is progressive.. always trying new things expanding his sound and evolving.

Just like Paul Gilbert, Kelly Simonz and many others Syu wants to be great like them and push the limits.

To just say he is a power metal guitarist is disrespectful to him =P

If you dont have a true understanding of Music dont try to classify guitarists =P Syu is a progressive metal guitarists and even has some Jrock sounds floating around with Spinalcord and a few old Galneryus songs *heart*

idk syu a amazing no doubt and i cant really throw anyone above him off the top of my head. but syu has a tendency to stay within in small range of certain techniques so his stuff can start to sound the same after while. if syu could start adding a little more variety to his soloing structure then hands done he'd be pwning everybody in power metal

@cminormusician yea i know, your right but he still manages to make it some different some how. but i do agree with you on the technique thing. sorry to say this fans but he is not the best guitarist with technique. but he is the best guitarist to come up with quality music. because over all mostly everyone that listens to music listens to it because of how it sounds not because of the technique someone uses. pretty much only musicians or ppl who plays a instrument would like it because of tech

@XBLOODYTRIGGAX x japan is 80ies why are they so good the biggest influence John Petrucci are the best and he started in the 90ies the other influence are Ulrich Roth, Paul Gilbert and Michael Schenker who should be really good too cause that are the influence of Syu and did you ever heard Yngwie Malmsteen?

@EntilMattt1990 I`m not part of the people who thinks hendrix is the best guitarrist ever, if you compare him nowadays he sucks but he was the first "guitar hero", he created his own style, he invented bendings, playing with the thumb over the neck, rock vibrato and so on... he revolutioned the way of playing guitar and even music, the guitar is a famous instrument because of him... I think that`s why he is so respected including all the 70's musicians...
