like landing switch. you practically land blind, and its harder on rails too, because boarders can hit rails 50/50 and the area of a snowboard is larger on the bottom, so its harder to lose balance. but its true that alot of skiers dress thuggy. but the guys from travelling circus or Jon olsson are exceptions

And snowboarding is like 10 times easier to land jumps on because of the large surface area. I've seen snowboarders land a big jump going completely sideways and they still land it. And rails on skis? Don't even get me started. Grinding a rail on skis is one of the hardest thing to do, especially with two skis to control.
