@fystasjoppheng i'm buying one, fortunately i found one. could you tell me for how much they get sold in your country? here i found one for 700 euros. hopefully i'll contract my way down to 600
@fystasjoppheng hey maybe i can get one of these in the next few days ... what do you mean with ... 'battery'?! an internal ?? what happens if the battery is empty ...
haa yes I wasn't implying your demo was no good, and yes you show a good range of sounds. My 'unison only' post here was to the guys who said they prefered the Juno as it sounded better (and I prefer the polysix myself) - wanted to show what ELSE it could do in addition to what you'd shown not just copy your stuff :)
I think this is a very very good sounding Analogue Synthesizer with a very strong character. The Combination between this SSM VCO, Filter, Effects and the fact that it's polyphonic makes it so great. It sounds very warm, bright, psychedelic. I like that a lot! It's a perfect partner for a Modular Synth.
I used a Polysix in the early 80s and hand-wired it to a Rhodes piano believe it or not. After wiring my string machine in previously I thought it would be an easy job. When I finally figured out the 8x8 matrix for key contacts, I had to install diodes on every contact to prevent voltages 'backing up and summing'. What a b--ch! But the results were unbelievable in the pre-MIDI world. 3 layers at once!
I remember when I bought a Polysix shortly after it first came out. I thoguht I died and gone to heaven. I was used to my little Korg M20 (I think it was M20) where I had to change patch cords and knobs between every song. The rest of the guys in the band liked it too as they would get tired of waiting for me ...
despite everything going digital nowadays i think there will come a day when people will tire of its fakeness and unnaturalness and return to the warmth and genuineness of old analogue equipment
I bought a polysix for 400 dollars back in 1988 from a guy that was selling it privately. I used it for a little while in my basement and I recorded some stuff onto cassette tape but I never did anything public with it.
I very much enjoyed all of you videos for the past, however much time it was, Though enhanced it was by $3.99 a bottle Trader Joe's wine. This, I assure does not detract from my appreciation of your talent. I started out doing a Youtube search for Wendy Carlos, whom I have on vinyl from decades ago, when I came upon your offerings. Good on you!!! I am much impressed and entertained.
i wish i had one of these, a shitty tie, a crappy blue of black blazer, eyeliner and a can of hairspray

@lucadepu -I guess it costs around 6-7000 norwegian krones.
10 euros is 8 kroner.

@fystasjoppheng then it's about the money it costs here. thank you very much for the info!

I used to own one of these, but I personally think, its one of the most overrated synths ever.

Great synth.

Some very ambitious tagging here!! Excellent
It sounds great but the question is: is it worth buying the Korg Analogue Legacy Collection?
weaponEX 2 years ago
Thank you!
I dont know the Legacy Collection-sorry.
fystasjoppheng 2 years ago
I would say yes, especially for the Wavestation.
Keybern 2 years ago
@weaponEX It is, it's made by Korg so they know their stuff. It sounds almost the same as the real thing.

I love this synth very much for all the reasons you mention.

The arpeggio bit reminds me of the Radio Moscow Science Hour theme, maybe they used the Polysix, it was in the early 80's.
