put your self in the officers position, what would you do? if you had a vehicle going 80 mph and failing to yield you don't know who is in side or why they don't want to stop or if they are going to start shooting at you when you get out of your patrol car,in this day and age you can never let your gaurd down,it's better to be safe than sorry, i don't know about some of you but, i want to go home and see my family at the end of my shift, and i will do whatever it takes to do that.
@cdffirefighter what's that saying about liberty and safety? Something like 'Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. ...' Reminds me of what you're saying. Sorry about that.
For all the officer knew they may have just murdered some one, when they finally stoped the officer approached at gun point and broke the window and when he saw the elderly driver he holstered his weapon and got his cuffs out to detain him the driver pulled away from him and the officer not knowing the reason they didn't stop , used nessecary force to detain the driver, and as soon as he found out what was going on he had ems respond right away, he did his job ,put your self in the officers...
First off, if it were that urgent of a medical emergency that he had to drive 80 mph,he should have called 911 for ems, there is no reason he couldn't have called,he endangered everyone on the road by his wreck less speed, as soon as the officer attempted a traffic stop he should have pulled over and told the officer that he had a medical emergency and the officer would have called ems right away but by failing to yield the officer had no idea if they were dangerous felons for all the officer ...
I don't give a fuck about any frustration from following someone a while, you do not bust someone's window, chastise a man who needs medical attention, and absolutely never pull a gun out on someone not posing some type of deadly threat.
@mphlohi ...a sane comment. It's amazing that more and more people think the cop is OK doing this. I hear the cop had a moment of sanity too and resigned.

@MERCURHILLMANIAC hey faggot yes you the idiot who talks shit on a flea market computer and goes belly up in person....im not a damn cop so shut the fuck up already...thank you for your time...go f*ck yourself!
oh boo freakin hoo the guy was old.....so what....he doesnt get and damn special treatment....if the elderly are becoming a danger to our roadways....retest or revoke their licenses!
@bdmpd ya i would be pissed after chasing someone for that long at those speeds. The major controversy is that the guy he stopped was allegedly hard of hearing and supposedly did not hear the sirens (im sure he's not blind). Also he was taking his elderly brother to the hospital if it was such a medical emergency then why the hell did they travel 30 miles as oppose to 15 miles away....they're excuse was "we just dont go to that hospital in Livingston, we go to only Lufkin" my opinion....BS!
