I am a New Yorker who is in NYC everyday and I think this would be a wonderful idea... Especially around the holidays. I'm sorry, but tourists walk too slow and randomly stop in the middle of the sidewalk and it gets annoying. Today, I watched numerous people stop in the middle of the road to pose for pictures while cars were trying to get by... NYC, just make some tourist lanes please!

As you can see on this video at 0:04 it says, "5th ave and 22nd street at 2:07pm". I've also seen at least one where they had 207 actors involved. It must have some internal significance.
