@HandPrintProduction Well to be fair , they were trying to reflect the early Blade comics which were more comedic and it didn`t go over well because the audience was expecting the dark , gritty , urban tone of the first two films . It was also in part due to studio inteference as Goyer wanted the final Blade film to be the darkest of all but the studio wanted it to be more " black comedy " like the early Blade comics .
