  • A lot of people do not realize this, but it takes a genius like you to take a PAL standard video (ZDF Theater on upper left corner ~ ZDF is a German broadcaster), mix it with NTSC standard American videos, and make it work seamlessly! Bravo!

  • Incredible job! Probably the best mixed video I've seen on Youtube! Bravo

  • If you're not doing this for a living, you're nuts.

  • I have never commented on anything since YouTube has been up and running, but I had to tell you that was amazing. I would say awesome, but I hate that word. I just downloaded a shitload of songs from 70s that I have always wanted, and besides Diana Ross, this was first and foremost. I have the original, I wish I checked this out first. Great job. Am gonna go see what else your talented self did... Best to you...

  • Amazing work. How long did it take you to put this together?

  • this song swings nicely w/rolling bassline....

  • good job on the video, but this mix is horrible! the song was sweetened by a rather lush string section--but it's so buried in the mix and the backing vocals overwhelm the instruments!

  • Thumbs up for the fantastic job! This song brings back so many memories to me...All good.

  • The effort that was put into the making of this clip would easily fit into the dictionary definition of "painstaking"! A masterful job. As a side note, America seemed to be a such a nice country back then; I honestly miss that element very much, as the U.S. isn't what she used to be. In fact, it wasn't all that long ago that America manufactured the finest of nearly everything throughout the world. Good times, decent employment...

  • Absolutely super job on the editing! I'm looking foward to checking out more of your work!

  • you must do this for a living. You do excellent work. keep it up and thanks for sharing with the utube world

  • lovely Linn lovely song

  • check out the chick at 2:13 to the right of Lynn bobbing that head around, I've never seen anyone jam like that to a country song.

  • Nice work in putting this together, and thanks for sharing the GORGEOUS Quad mix!

  • 40 years later and we still dance to it... so it's a classic :o) thx for the upload.

  • From my Aunt and Uncles Juke Box @ Wards Cafe in Licking Mo. in 1970 to some of Craig Reeds 70's Party's in Dallas. This song keeps on going strong. It was nice meeting Lynn Anderson in 1983 in Dallas when she stayed as our guest @ The Melrose Hotel.

  • one dislike, you need to get your ears checked.

  • GOOD JOB!!!!

  • This is AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing!

  • This is great! First the quad mix with true stereo background vocals. Then the video editing was perfect. I love the chick doing the Frug @ 2:19. I watched it over and over. Nice job Motownboy!

  • you did an incredible job on this classic masterpiece. Lynn Anderson was HOT!!!

  • I've seen Lynn every which way, for years. After everything, she is spectacular. Greatest female singer ever, along with Patsy and Brenda. Maybe Martina, LeAnn, are getting close. Very close! And, Tammy (Wynette Pugh), can't be forgotten.

  • Sounds Great

  • Really great sound and visuals.... it's inspired me to finish my video for the New World cover of this which was more popular in the UK.

  • I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.

Along with the sunshine, There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.

When you take, you gotta give, But you don't find roses growin' on stalks of clover...Well, if sweet-talkin' you could make it come true,

I would give you the world right now on a silver platter,

But what would it matter? So smile for a while..Love shouldn't be so melancholy.Come along and share the good times while we can. Thanks David -MoTownBoy; you're F'n flawless.

  • Too fabulous, darling! Thank you!

  • Perfect!

  • i love this song i was 6 yers old in ca.

  • @jcjoli i was 12 years old. it's a pretty song that got better w/ technology.****

  • What an amazing job! Thanks for putting this together!

  • Great video/audio match up THEmotownboy. I tried to put an original copy of this song on YouTube (without the Quad) but YouTube caught it and it was rejected.

My grandfather played the bass on this track! Glad to see at least one of the originals made it on here! :-)

  • There's a REAL singer. Singers today can't lip-sync THEIR OWN RECORDS live on stage WHY because they NEVER go out on the ROAD and do it for a hundred nights on end before committing it to wax beforehand.

Singers in her day refused to wax anything that they didn't know backwards, forwards and inside out, which is why today we can drop in the stereo or quad audio over an old video and have it pretty much lock up.

  • Congratulations, it likes me a lot!

  • Great video, well done. ‎1970's were good times

  • Good job!

  • Grew up listening to her and other country singers. You did an awesome job. TY

  • Great to hear the SQ mix of "Rose Garden," one of two Lynn Anderson Quad LPs I have in my record collection ("Rose Garden," "Greatest Hits"), and a terrific job on the video editing, too!...

I've always admired SQ Quad, though it had one problem; the early SQ mixes were not mono-compatible. As documented in the Ken Sessions' book "4-Channel Stereo, From Source To Sound," the backing vocals on this song disappear when played in mono! Still, SQ and QS were fun quad formats when played in stereo!

  • IVE LOVED THIS TUNE FOR OVER 30 YEARS,,,,,,,,,,WOT A BRILLIANT VERSION :)))

  • NIce Job!

  • Very impressive sound quality. Thanks!

  • この曲は私を励ましてくれます。大ファンです。

  • What a GREAT video!!!! Great job of compiling the footage. Lynn Anderson was so pretty and had such an amazing voice!

  • BEST AUDIO & VIDEO! I luv it!

  • GREATTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

  • i love this song, and i love her for doing another version she made it her own, wouldn't you agree?

  • Lynn recorded Rose Garden in 1971,

When no one else wanted the song,

There mistake, The song made lynn,

    a lot of money.

  • Actually, it wasn't that "no one else wanted the song" ... it had been recorded 5-6 times before her version. The previous recordings just never did anything. Her version was the lucky turn, I guess .... ended up reaching the #1 position in 16 countries around the world and made her a country superstar for much of the '70s.

  • Great Mix Thanks

  • One of the greatest songs, ever!

  • I remember my Mom used to love singing this song when I was growing up in the early 70's . I think I was 9 or 10 years old . back in those days we used to have grade school plays and I remember a girl in 4th grade sang the same song at a country music PTA . I can still remember how beautiful she was singing it, the song stuck with me for so many years and when I heard it on the radio this morning it brought back memories of my Mom . she passed away back in 2000 from cancer. I miss her .....

  • Thanks for the Quad Mix of this great song! I have always loved Lynn Anderson and you did her justice with this one! Great editing of the video. It tracked well to the audio. I'll bet that was fun!

  • Yes it was...thanks!

  • @M83Benz such a pretty song & the smile. look @ the fans dancing. ****

  • Man oh man, what an awesome job you have done with this old beauty. Dare I ask, what audio software do you use please.

  • You must have spent a lot of time in producing the perfect sync of voice to video. Thanks for the great sound!

  • Is that copied from the SQ Quad album in the picture?

If so, I should be able to download it and decode it, right?

Thanks for the ear-candy for us four-eared folks!

  • It is from the SQ LP, but I ran a script on the file to actually extract the two into four channels and mixed the front with the rear for stereo presentation here on YT...If you use a regular SQ or any other decoding, it won't work properly becuase of the script.

  • @THEmotownboy Nice mix down to stereo!

  • Motownboy- FANTASTIC SOUND AND THE VIDEO EDITING 10 +++. Reminds me of late 60's early 70's editing for some classic video's. PLEASE-Keep them coming!!!!! MORE QUAD VERSIONS !!!
