@Flurry84 1 obviously ur just jealuse cuz this is there song did it the same in the '80 hard to lip it way back when & still get it THE SAME DAMN WAY hello!!!!!
@4everdonnie What the fuck are you on about? I'm not jealous of anything. I'm not even condemning them for using backing tracks, I'm just providing explanations. It's been common practice among pop groups for over a decade to use backing tracks to maintain harmonies. But if you can't handle that and need to get your knickers in a twist and start throwing out the tired jealousy arguments, you need to consider your own priorities.
I need to find someone to go to the concert in nashville with me in june. if i cant find anyone i'll go by myself. none of my friends want to go because we are all in our late 20's and african american. ugh people can be so closed minded but i was obsessed with them in the 80's
They aren't lip syncing but there's definitely a backing track. I mean, you can hear both Jordan's falsetto part and his full voice part simultaneously. No big deal though, they're just trying to recreate it as faithfully as we're used to hearing it as possible. Nothing wrong with that either.
LOL I think they still sound and look great! Of course, they were younger twenty years ago, had lots more energy then. But, all things considered, I would say this is an awesome comeback!
LMAO. It's still lip-synching in every sense of the word. It happens often in groups, though, they use backing tracks when the group is singing together, as it's difficult to recreate the harmonies in a live setting. Most pop groups do it.
Nsync never did that nor did the BSB. Still a big fan of NKOTB but they are older and dancing and singing is not as easy as it used to be. Was at their concert. It was great. I respect live singing and respect the New Kids for it. It's hard to do
@spidermanbmw80 I believe there's a video of BSB doing "I Want It That Way" (a perfect pop song) live on Top of the Pops (they're wearing all white), and they cut the harmonies flawlessly. No lip synching. I'm not a big fan of any of these fluffy boy bands, but in terms of vocal skill, BSB are leagues above NKOTB.
@Flurry84 It's not difficult to recreate harmonies in a live setting. I've done it many times myself. There are tons of vids online of BSB and Nsync that are pretty obviously live as well if you know what to look for. But yeah, this isn't completely live. Is there anything online with the New Kids singing in five part harmony a cappella? Like for an interview or something? Cause I'm kinda skeptical when a "harmony group" hasn't done anything off the cuff a cappella.
@Flurry84 first off they have the song playing in the background so that if they forget the words they wont look stupid in front of everybody so they can hear the damn song and know what there singing genius
what a bullshit men , this motherfuckers are a bunch of pussys cats , i hate this white punk ass kids , because this bitches pretend made hip hop gangsta , what a bitches
omg they mixed it up, but its nice !! luv the foot work !!! but i really wanted 2 see the steps 1-5 !!! im dying 2 go to a concert luv the high notes by jordan !!!!
I love how Danny was doing the booty dance....I saw them in October and it was Jon who was doing the booty dance at the time....that was definitely the highlight of my night lol...love this video too :)
oo my bad LOL, BTW--was this filmed thru ur digital camera or an actual camcorder? I wanna catch them in nashville nxt month and i wanna bring my camcorder...is that risking it?
I wouldn't risk it. Most concerts these days have the No Cameras/Recorders. Usually the cameras part is referring to professional cameras with like telephoto lenses and such. But they're pretty strict on recorders.
I would bring your digital camera, esp. if it has video capabilities. There shouldn't be any risk in taking pictures, but try not to get caught taking video.
Usually I'm a hard ass on video from concerts, but this was actually good and showed me a few things. I actually saw this show...First of all I'm a Straight Male. With that said... I actually noticed that the only New Kid really going full force with heart in this particular video was Donnie. You could see it in his dancing and singing. He doesn't need to do it for his career but felt it in his heart here. Next, Mcintyre or Danny, or Jordan...I don't know. Jon was last. Out of his bubble.
Who cares if they were lip syncing? They could lip sync the phone book and I would still buy a ticket to see them! :D

why did they start performig again
looks like grandpa doing his last steps
if they really were the best payed band back in the days and if they really sold merch for 1.000.000.000$
a year why did they have to come back for that lousy kind of lipsinging lame bullshit.
loved them back in the days
but this is crap
