i saw 3eb at mt hood at an event called "snow job" with social distortion, penny wise, and others, riding on the hill with this blasting live was awesome.
hey guys! not sure if you've heard but tony is getting ready to release some new stuff. if you're a 3eb fan im sure you want to support him, so go follow him on twitter @tfredianelli and add him as a friend on his new facebook page "Tony Fredianelli"
God he looks so hot with this short hair... I don't care how old he is, he's gorgeous. and this song is AMAZING and this live version is especially wonderful!!
this is one of the most amazing songs I have ever laid my ears on and that's just how it is, one of the best albums ever in a time when one was needed. People that really really dig this song, get it, and they are indeed part of that magic.
Have loved 3EB since their start and this song is my fav. It is truly the story of the last 15 years of my life. "Can't keep it all together..I know, I know, I know, I can't keep it all together..." Says it aii, really. "Now i'm going down, and you're not even around...." WOW, so, so true.
i met them when they came to Dallas last summer after the concert. anyway Brad brought his weinner dog "Shelby" and she barfed up something all over my shoe. I wasnt mad i was laughing my head off. That had to be my greatest concert.
They played alot from OOTV both nights, they couldn't air the whole concert though, so they had to cut alot out. I'd love for all the footage to be released though.
If you notice the drum stick that is tossed into the air (the second one) at approximately 5:51 in the vid, i caught that mothafuckin stick!! And i got it signed by brad after the show! such an epic concert
um just because songs use the same chords or what not doesn't mean they're the same. God of Wine and Wounded are totally different feels and that's what music's all about. Wounded's a great song. God of Wine is epic. they're totally different
this is by far the best live version of what in my opinion is the best 3eb song of all time. every time i hear those first few notes i get goosebumps.
Can anyone tell what he is mouthing right before he starts the song while shaking his head no?
Can anyone tell Me, also, what he sings after he sings "I can't keep it all together" but before he sings "I know" 6x. (Sounds something like 'It's the room, stuck underneath the moon'). But I know that is wrong. And it's not on the CD lyrics.
i have been trying to find that out too, but i keep hearing people say thats it is "it's in the moon, stuck underneath the moon" but to me that makes no sense, to me i hear what ur hearing. let me know if u find out!
I've never seen them in concert but that is 1 thing I will have to fix before dying.
I am a little confused, Stephen Jenkins is the lead vocal, yes? So how can you say he could never sing? He is freaking stupendous.
Kevin Cadogan is the non singer who is such a lyrical genius? I get confused cause the names aren't in order on their CD. KC comes 1st & SJ comes 3rd. But isn't SJ the one who is the front guy? He is the singer in this vid, right?
From what I've heard, around the time of that CD KC and SJ were 50/50 in 3EB, at least that's what Cadogen thought. KC co-wrote 10/14 of the songs with Jenkins, but who knows to what extent they played in those 10. So I guess that CD was done in the pretense that it was a 50/50 project.
Oh and yes Jenkins can definitely sing, live he's a bit rough around the edges, but he's still good.
Simply the greatest song by the greatest band of our generation. Soundtrack to my youth for sure...and I will FINALLY see them live in Detroit on the 21st. I've never been so excited for a concert! Bless you 3EB!
well all I meant by my comment is that Stephan Jenkins looks way older than he did back in the mid 90s. I mean look at the Semi Charmed Life video, and look at him in this one.
Thank you so much!! That one line has been driving me crazy. ;-)
I am 100% positive you are right about the second part of it the "Stuck underneath the Moon".
But the first part COULD be "It's the world". But it sounds more like instead of "world" it sounds like an R word, like It's the "rule" or It's the "room".
Even though "world" does work better for that line. It doesn't sound like "world". Sounds too much like an R word.
Also yes you are correct, the lead singer is Stephan Jenkins, however the lead guitarist is Tony Fredianelli, Cadogan and Jenkins went separate ways after "Blue" because of conflict of ownership of the band.
Cadogan was a excellent songwriter like Stephan, as well as an amazing guitarist and did a great HPBV synchronization with SJ's voice, but Tony Fredianelli has done an amazing job of filling in and complementing Jenkins well.
At the time though, it was unfortunate that he (Cadogan) split.
Damn, that sucks bigtime to hear that Cadogan and Jenkins went separate ways. They make an unbelivable wrting team.
Even though it is obvious Jenkins makes beautiful songs alone. He and Cadogan have made some of the best songs I've ever heard.
"God Of Wine" is easily one of the best songs ever made.
Thanks for your help :-)
Their self titled CD is one I HAVE to listen to over & over. And it is over 10 years since I bought the CD. I really should branch out & buy other CD's they made.
That is pure brilliance, top version of a great song. Really wish they'd come to England have liked them since that first album and am desperate to see them live!
i really love this song but i think it being live ruined it. and what was with the tambarine thing? still a great song, but i'll stick with the original recording.

Wow, at 3:20 - 4:00, Stephan is just lost in his head. He's not even there... Just on stage by himself, singing his heart out. You have to respect a man like this. I'm glad out of every voice in the world, my friends all say I sound like good ol' Stephan Jenkins.
If this album (self titled) was re-released as a "new CD" to the new generation of kids who haven't really heard them I bet it would sell 6 million more copies. It is SO MUCH BETTER than any of the crap coming out today, baring a few new cool bands. These guys were real fucking songwriters. I'm glad they're kind of having a renaissance because they are an important band in my opinion. It's the first album I ever bought as an eight year old and ten years later it still may be my favorite.
well stated. and the thing is, there is no reason to speak of 3EB in the past tense.. The fourth album has been in the works for some time now but finally on the way as Mr. Jenkins has agreed to FINALLY finalize the lyrics after the current tour. He makes us all crazy.
hah, about time. I'm seeing them in new jersey on april first (they're also playing at the same place april second and I'm seriously considering getting a ticket to that night too...) and am hoping to hear some new songs. I also want that live album and DVD that they've been promising. I wish for their sake they were faster at recording and putting out CDs because I think that's partly why they've lost popularity. But whatever they gotta do to keep putting out fantastic CDs.
haha...yeah i remember getting this CD when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade and just never wanting to stop listening to it. 10 years later I'm finally going to see 3eb live for the first time. really was a rediculous album. just awesome

A very nice person answered a previous request for these lyrics & said this;
'I'm 90% sure that he sings
"It's the world, stuck underneath the moon."
And that really does make sense. I am 99.9% sure the second part IS "Stuck underneath the Moon.
It's just the first part, it sounds more like "room" than "world". But that could just be my perceptioon to it.

What is the line he is singing after "I can't keep it all together" He sings it kinda under his breath. It isn't on the CD lyrics.

Is the dark haired, short, attractive guitarist in pic of their self titled CD, Kevin Cadogan?
They are some song writing team! Damn! Jenkins can write freaking great songs & they write damn great ones together! I hope this group NEVER disbands!
I LOVE every song on CD. It is so hard to find a cd u love every song!

I'm 90% sure that he sings

Wow, at 3:20 - 4:00, Stephan is just lost in his head. He's not even there... Just on stage by himself, singing his heart out. You have to respect a man like this. I'm glad out of every voice in the world, my friends all say I sound like good ol' Stephan Jenkins.
Keep rockin'.

He sounded like he was going to start crying or something there for a minute.

Don't worry about it guys, Third Eye Blind is going to have it's second coming... Late Fall, 2008.
They are way too good to give up, SJ is getting old and he knows it. I love them to death.

But whatever they gotta do to keep putting out fantastic CDs.

i always speak of the post-cadogan 3eb in the past tense. :) just being difficult!
