What boundaries are there to constrain the map? In the GTA games, there was always the sea, but here it would be different.

Is the map bounded by mountains at the very edges? Do you get some sort of warning message? Or does it use an infinite scroll just like with the GTA sea?

Well GTA IV was a smaller world than San Andreas, and San Andreas has been the biggest map in the GTA franchise. But Red Dead Redemption is more bigger than San Andreas. So yeah it is a bigger map than GTA.

Nothing has been said about a PC version as of yet. So far it will only be released on the Xbox 360 and PS3. But it may eventually come to the PC at a later date like they did with Grand Theft Auto IV.

Will there be a sandbox multiplayer mode to just mess around in with a friend? That would top it all off for me.

Thanks for the excellent comment. But to answer your question about multiplayer sandbox. We are not sure about any multiplayer details as of yet. Details about the multiplayer aspect will be released on April 5th (Monday) so will soon find out. But we do expect there to be an open world sandbox environment for the multiplayer side. Stay tuned multiplayer footage coming April 5th.

Red Dead Redemption will not be available. It will only be available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 Entertainment Systems. But there maybe a release for the PC like Rockstar did with Grand Theft Auto IV. Sorry to give you the bad news.

The gameplay is fairly long, the landscape is twice the size of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and you will have to go all the way across the western frontier on horseback. So expect the game to be atleast more than 40-50 hours of gameplay greatness. Multiplayer details and footage emerging April 5th. Wow; I'm a university student, and solely because of this game, I'm going to be buying a small TV to fit in my room just so I don't miss out on this title.

This looks absolutely incredible, Rockstar. Grand Theft Auto IV is my favourite game of all time, and from the looks of it, this game will be giving it a run for its money.

Is it truely as open-world as the videos suggest? Will multiplayer have a "free-roam"-esque mode, similar to GTA IV, or will it only be small, closed-off areas?

Red Dead Redemption is as a open world environment like Rockstar suggest, similar to the open world environment seen in GTA IV.

No there won't be any indians in the game, it's not a cowboy/indian game. It's the world when America (New Austin to be presice) was the land of western war and battles. If you seen any of Clint Eastwoods's movies, then it will be like that.

@RockstarSource Great info as always R*Source but on the Red Dead website in the people and places section it shows a character called Nastas who 'is unsure about life on the reservations''. Thus Native Americans will appear in the game, well one anyway.
