It's quite cool and it's fun to learn an asian language like Japanese.

But the only thing I just don't understand why every Non- Japanese is copying their articulation since it's not part of their own (non-japanese) culture or society. Yeah of course it's your right to do so but doesn't look authentic LOL Can't you simply combine Japanese or whatever with your own personality? That's why people always are bashed for their interest in such language: Because they copy and have no own articulation

I think you mean hajimete - first

hajime is "start" as in "start the show!"

oh i see i didn't even think to use hajimete here, thanks, i sometimes look up stuff in the jishou if i am not completely sure about something and i guess i saw "hajime no" first, i've never used hajimete in a sentence before now that i think about it, usually always on it's own.

I am wondering, how do you practice by yourself. No one is teaching japanese in my city so I have to learn myself but don't know where to start ! Any tips? Thx!

I try to find as many resources as possible, I listen to music for pronunciation, I watch japanese language vids, read books, listen to sound files, write down all the new words i find, etc. I try to keep myself fresh with new material so i do not get tired of reading the same book for too long...it might not be good to get myself fluent fast but it helps me get through and understand.

thanks well i still have alot to learn, i say i am a middle beginner. yep, i study japanese on my own, when i feel like doing it..haha i get into spurts...I think posting these will help to improve my speaking and also to correct mistakes if people spot them and yep i have msn messanger i'll send it to your mail box.
