  • LMAO, Hamsterdam was a straight up hot mess. What the fuck was you thinkin' legalizing drugs Bunny Colvin?! He lost his damn mind. It was literally Hell on Earth when they didn't have clean needles & junkies were all over the damn place. It was disgusting & dirty.

  • Omar and Rawls blow away all my preconceptions about homosexuals.

  • "Outstanding Red Team, get you a case of beer for that one."

That's a fucking cool movie reference to put in there.

  • I just finished watching season 3 and I just cam here to say how much I hate Burrell - a totally useless, self serving peice of shit so far. All he does is fuck everything up and try to make himself look good and ass-kiss whoever he needs to ass-kiss. (great show though)

Rawls is a dick as well lol

  • they shoulda listened to tuckie when he said the police were comming

  • Bunny Colvin disliked this.

  • well, at least they gave it one epic sendoff.

  • hauling them out in buses. lol.

  • The Wire is the best show and Apocalypse Now is the best movie, so it's only fitting.

  • The only people getting locked up were the neglected children and junkies: PEOPLE WHO NEEDED HELP. This was nothing but a dog & pony show, just so the police could save face. Just like the dope on the damn table scene, this had no effect on the major drug dealers. It only makes Burrell & Rawls look good in the public eye.

  • Rawls is awesome, I'll always remember the scene where Rawls gives both middle fingers to McNulty.

  • Carver's sideway glance at Herc perfectly sums up the difference between old-fashioned style police work and the new "War on Drugs" approach. It's so hard to notice that kind of subtlety the first time you watch it.

  • damn! i was enjoying the free zone legalized drugs, cuz all the neighborhoods were clened up. all them ppl geting locked up well be back out on them corners the next day and then the neighborhoods will be shitty again! maybe we shoula all legalize drugs and have free zones

  • prohibition never works as well as regulation and control. Prohibition is very good for business though. Mad money

  • Fucking Rawls...always the drama queen. You know when the cops come with the plastic cuffs a lot of peop

  • did anyone get the apocalypse now reference?

  • @californianbeast

yes... coppola used this "WE ARE GERMANS WE KICK ASS" proto-nazi music to show the macho idiot attitude of the cowboy helicopter squad in apocalpyse now... it's so appropriate that they'd use it here... same macho idiot attitude, same ignorance with guns. nice to see that carver understands. he's the new colvin.

  • @ravenouscolonelhart

Pretty sure that was in the script that Milius wrote. Coppola stated the scene was about how America makes a big event out of everything. Also the guy who wrote that movie was VERY pro-gun.

  • colvin was a fuckin idiot. he should of just kept applying heavy force on the residential corners. that way the dealers would eventually have to move and eventualy to hamsterdam he could of just turned an eye to it, instead of actually telling them to go there

  • @poopmcscoopface I'd have to disagree with you. City Hall put pressure on the police to make the homicide rate as well as the overall crime rate to go down. Burrell is only looking to keep the mayor from looking incompetent & Rawls is only concerned with the stats. Leaving Colvin, who inherit a district of rogue cops at best, to try to meet their demands. Colvin couldn't win either way, so he went out with a statement. Colvin was a genius, but he was Mr. Nugget in this case.

  • @poopmcscoopface Do you really think any police officer can prevent someone from killing another if their will is into it? Is it possible to be in every place when a crime is happening? That's damn near impossible. City Hall and the Police Dept hierarchy seem to be disillusioned about that, especially when police is highly outnumbered & in this case, poorly trained & untrustworthy. Colvin is Mr. Nugget.

  • lol wit the nigga wit his ass out

  • @LumpyTheCook

that's not imperial march, it's wagner's ride of the valkyries. it's a reference to the movie apocalypse now.

  • Big Bad Rawls...taking up the ass the entire series. Dick smelling like Herc shit coz he was a rat, faggot, fuck-up

  • Funny. Rawls was a homosexual the whole time. If anyone payed attention to the later shows, theres a clip of Rawls in a gay night club, laughing and throwing back a beer. SMH.

  • @robib2 ..your right..it was when Brother Mazone was looking for Omar and sending Lamar into those places...Fucking Rawls was laughing it up with a bunch of fags and nothing was ever made of it...

  • That is one kick-ass scene!

  • Sheeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

  • haha, they scatter like roaches. this is how to deal with savages.

  • FUCK THE POLICE!!!

  • Rawls has to be one of the best characters to ever grace a screen. A piece of shit for sure but it's The Wire so he's more than one dimensional.
