It is a 1.9 MultiJet with no original turbo's. These one are a bit bigger, result; below 120kmph accelerating is poor but 120 to 250+ is extreme. We made the engine size a bit bigger to 2300cc and the moving parts are lot lighter made. We did lots of things on the engine what is still experimental. They didn't got the license plate. We are using the Swedish snow removing license plate holder witch was just on removing position.
We escaped from the police....but they had your licence plate and you got a fine afterwards. (how could you know it was a undercover police car?)
Anyway, I seriously doubt you really lost the police car. The Dutch Traffic Police (KLPD) mainly drives Volvo V70R's. Don't think a Fiat Dobló can take on that.
They probably gave up because it wasn't safe to follow and they had your licence plate anuway.

250+ in Dobló? The Dobló aerodynamics are about the same as a brick.
And how did you know it was a police car.
The police Volvo's really aren't recognizable as police cars (even when they are unmarked). He probably gave you a stopsign.
Well, anyway post some vids of the engine for instance.
