pc gaming should be the future ..i use to always game with xbox or ps3 ,about 2 years ago i switched to pc and OOHH MYY GOD! im so happy!!!...but yeah sometimes there are some little problems that consols dont get but hell its sooo worth it!!!
I love this mouse, but I also hate it to the core. About 2/3 you'll find a defective one that won't kick in about a year or later (google the g7 issue and you'll see what I mean). I had to get both exchange and again, after a year or so, 1 of them is acting up. The only improvement I see is that it doesn't randomly set my dpi when it stops freezing. Luckily the other one didn't break down yet. Oddly, Logitech doesn't have a clue why this is happening :/

But I have to be honest with you guys, although i'm calling in my razer naga warranty after 1 year, no gaming mouse can hold a candle to one. Sure, other gaming mice let you remap keys. But only Razer is truly macro capable. The razer naga's drivers are SO POWERFUL you can program a button to perform algebra. -pro tip

I tried a Mamba and a G700, but both had such poor battery life (amongst other things for the Mamba) that I took them back and ended up with a RAT9 which ALSO uses two batteries and keeps one charged. This really is the best solution IMHO. Other than the battery life the G700 was a great mouse too.

Logitech gave me another one and 4 months after that it started to. Annoying as hell. Apparently the microswitches was able to take in dust where it should be.

Yeah, the Mamba is not very good. It has a poor battery life (4-5 hours) and only one battery so when the battery runs low you HAVE to plug it in. At least the G700 uses a standard AA NmH battery you can swap out with spares. The Mamba also has a very bad cable system that makes it feel like something might break when you're trying to unplug it. Also, the Mamba won't always wake up, even after a cold boot.
@Boris0215 they're both different styles of mice really. i'd personally pick the mamba over the G7 because of it's better sensor but I like finger tip mice for Razer better, like the Diamondback 3G

Advanced gaming systems like the ps3 and xbox360 first the 360 was released 5 years ago may 12 2005 and the ps3 was released November of 2006 thats 4 years old or 3 and a half what ever you want to say. as for the pc they dont get old, the consoles are pc based with cpu psu and integrated graphics such as OEM desktops.Surly you dont know anything about advanced gaming.
actually i'll think you'll find that johnny has hit the nail on the head. ps3 really hit the ball out of the park in terms of graphical performance. the graphics are great and with the right tv, they look outstanding. no more sitting in the dark with a 23" monitor, when you can sit in the glory of a 70" HD TV. it really looks glorious and only goes to show that game play isnt important, because the gorgeous imagery immerses you fully into a world of superior gaming. have a nice evening, friend.

@johnny4463435 a homemade custom pc has more uses than a ps3 xbox360 or wii. you can make your own games and applications for a pc without have pay licensing fees. And you can mod pc games without having to hack the pc's hardware. Also compared to game consoles pc's have a HUGE list of completely free games.
@NOOBNUT08 ok if you are out there making your own pc games then more power to you, but for the most part a game console by design is for playing video games. i'll tell you if it weren't for starcraft 2 i'd hardly be playing any games on a pc. for me it kinda comes in waves. for a little while i'll be playing alot of games on an xbox, and then for a while i'll be playing something on windows. it all really boils down to what games are out.
As for use USB wired and wireless the USB 1.0 has a transfer rate of about 12Mbit/s this is mouse is rated for 2.4 Ghz which is around 580Mb/s around the 3.0 USB super speed thats rated for 4.0 Gbit/s or 572Mb/s as for USB 2.0 its transfer rate is around 480 Mbit/s

I've had my G7 for years, used it every day for long periods, over 100 times dropped on hard wood, and battery's are still going strong. This is absolutely the best mouse I've ever had.
@FullofFailure I did that. I have a G9 on my gaming/workhorse rig, and I love it. I also have a G7 for my laptop across the room and for whenever I go to a friends house who only has some standard $10 OEM mouse.
just buy the g7... theyre really hard to find in canada at a decent price.. had one.. it died.. finally found another one for $90 shipped.. im buying it.. wireless 1ms.. this mouse is perfect for gaming having its own charger and 2 batteries so there is only a small pause in gaming when the batteries die. pause time all depends how slow you move.
Its funny since Ive been playing games for years and been using a wireless mouse that worked fine for roughly 5 years. Started losing connection this year but for 5 years I would consider it fine

They work for console, but are better for pc. And i would rather pay $1000 for a pc that can play every single game at max, and last for up to 10 years. Also, my pc is around $600, and it can play the games that you love... just better. So i think that the people who love the pc out there, would rather save up for a gaming rig

@TheGarvito And im sorry that i would rather spend $500-1000 on a high-end gaming rig, so that i can do whatever the hell i want. while on the ps3, your limited to so much, yes, you do have internet, but its not like it is on pc. And have you noticed that game developer usually end up cutting the graphics down on their engines in order to optimize the game for consoles. not allowing gaming pc's to go to their full potential. and i do have a ps3 also, but i dont play it as much, cuz i have a pc!

@johnny4463435 a homemade custom pc has more uses than a ps3 xbox360 or wii. you can make your own games and applications for a pc without have pay licensing fees. And you can mod pc games without having to hack the pc's hardware. Also compared to game consoles pc's have a HUGE list of completely free games.

@NOOBNUT08 ok if you are out there making your own pc games then more power to you, but for the most part a game console by design is for playing video games. i'll tell you if it weren't for starcraft 2 i'd hardly be playing any games on a pc. for me it kinda comes in waves. for a little while i'll be playing alot of games on an xbox, and then for a while i'll be playing something on windows. it all really boils down to what games are out.

As for use USB wired and wireless the USB 1.0 has a transfer rate of about 12Mbit/s this is mouse is rated for 2.4 Ghz which is around 580Mb/s around the 3.0 USB super speed thats rated for 4.0 Gbit/s or 572Mb/s as for USB 2.0 its transfer rate is around 480 Mbit/s

@FullofFailure I did that. I have a G9 on my gaming/workhorse rig, and I love it. I also have a G7 for my laptop across the room and for whenever I go to a friends house who only has some standard $10 OEM mouse.

just buy the g7... theyre really hard to find in canada at a decent price.. had one.. it died.. finally found another one for $90 shipped.. im buying it.. wireless 1ms.. this mouse is perfect for gaming having its own charger and 2 batteries so there is only a small pause in gaming when the batteries die. pause time all depends how slow you move.
