PSI only becomes relivent when talking about turbo size. The 20psi car could have anything. If its a small enough turbo(key phrase), 20psi wouldnt make much more power over stock.
actually, 20psi would still make a well amount of power on a smaller turbo. considering a smaller turbo doesnt take much to spool up. theres not going to be a whole lot of lag say as compared to a bigger turbo where you have to wait till almost 5800 to get full boost, just around the time vtec is kicking in
Lag doesnt affect how much power a turbo will make. And seeing as how they were already going from at least a 40 roll, lag was more than likely a non-issue for either car.

no ej is not a generation older than ek dumbass. it started with the ef 88-91 eg 92-95 ej 96-00. ek is the jdm version. read a fuckin book. or better yet look on the actual chassis code placed on the door jam of the drivers door. ej's and eks are the same generation. one usdm, one jdm

you lost me there, i know, if im not mistaken correct me if im wrong, the 96-00 coupes were ej's 6-8 and em1 depending on trim hx, dx ect.. and hatchbacks were the ek2 and 3.. sedans were ej6 and 8...
the jdm civic type r was ek9 based on the ek4.

PSI only becomes relivent when talking about turbo size. The 20psi car could have anything. If its a small enough turbo(key phrase), 20psi wouldnt make much more power over stock.

actually, 20psi would still make a well amount of power on a smaller turbo. considering a smaller turbo doesnt take much to spool up. theres not going to be a whole lot of lag say as compared to a bigger turbo where you have to wait till almost 5800 to get full boost, just around the time vtec is kicking in

Lag doesnt affect how much power a turbo will make. And seeing as how they were already going from at least a 40 roll, lag was more than likely a non-issue for either car.
