@Warriorkiller666 I admited it after I saw her do 9700 with three attackis, but CS1's damage drop went too damn far, it became really hard to win unless you were vastly better at the game or spammed her spacing tool to the point everyone got pissed, her combos were a joke unless you were Godlike and her defence had always been weak with few defensive moves and very low health.

Omg what an awesome player that Alzarath is! I wish I could say the same for me..i use Jin Kisaragi and I still need some experience with him..I can't even complete the Score Attack..actually,I can almost easily kill everyone,but when it comes to Ragna..>:|..I almost kill him every single time,but then he either uses Carnage Scissors(I'm not sure it's spelled like that)or that other thing that drains my life..anyway,all I wanted to say in this comment is congratulations to Alzarath :D

So the highest tier character can beat the second highest tier character in three combos (4 if the Nu had bursted). Nu is one the frailest characters in the game with 10000 life, (tied with second with Ragna. Carl has 9500 life). It's worth nothing that after the first hit (which was a matter of the Rachel player winning the poking game), the Rachel always had an advantage when the Nu recovered from the next combo due to the fact that Nu was in the corner and pumpkin or frog kept her pinned

@IronyNinja Rachel was considered slightly better than Nu, although much more difficult to use properly for precisely what happened in this video. Rachel's corner game was on par with Litchi's, and Rachel could actually do ridiculous amounts of damage. Nu was probably Rachel's only bad matchup though as her projectiles came out much faster, stuffing Rachel's. Also, Nu's 2C might beat out Rachel's spinny top. Don't quote me on that though, I don't know the ins and outs of the matchup well.

@xXAFaintSmilleXx: does the nu really suck? she gets hit by a counterstun at the opening. rachel does her BnB 6CD,C,B,6CD,C,B (which usually ends with a 3C, a low hit)... instead the Rachel opts for a combo reset and ends it a B prematurely then surprising the v13 with an overhead followed by another BnB, B,CD,frog,B,lobelia,66, Baden Baden,frog,3C or 3CD. At which point, Rachel has Nu in the corner with a frog and pumpkin and 2 bars of wind ready for a frog/pumpkin trap with a lot of options.

the only mistake that v13 rlly was not to create space at opener b4 attacking. She went for a low block after the first Rachel BnB, but Alzarath surprises him by ending the combo prematurely and performing an overhead BnB starter upon the reset. After which, since V13 was setup for Rachel's frog trap, out of desperation tried to grab Rachel out of her Combo, which Nu/v13 is well known for. I see this a 2 wrong choices from v13, not rlly sucking... and a lot of brilliance from the Rachel player

@gasconron Glad to see someone who actually understands this game in these posts. Alzarath is a beast, an absolutely brilliant Rachel player in CT. I had the pleasure of playing against him, and he actually pulled this exact sequence on me.

Knowing where it was going to end (I saw this video before playing him...), I bursted. Alzarath then jump-canceled his attack, blocked my burst, and finished me off. BTW: it was a green-burst, and not one of those scrubby blue bursts either.

Looking at the video, does it look like Alzarath is prepairing for a burst when the pumpkin is out? He's crouching, and he does NOT pull off an attack. Instead, he crouches and uses the wind to use the pumkin.

I'm somewhat convinced that Alzarath was preparing for his opponent to burst at this point, especially because he's pulled those kinds of shinnanigans on me.

@dragontamer He's not crouching. He's dropping George. So yes, Nu could've hit him with a burst. Easily. If I had to guess, I'd say Rachel was trying to go into 3C -> George drop, but the 3C whiffed and he did the second part anyway out of muscle memory.

Nu didn't block.

Nu tried to attack in the beginning but got countered by Rachel's fork, so it stunned her. Then after Rachel did that spinning attack, Nu could have begun blocking, but instead tried to counter. Nu failed so she got punished again. Then when Nu got electrocuted for the first time in the corner, she could have started blocking when she landed, but if you look closely at the point around 00:19, Nu tried to attack instead of blocking again.
