I was there. 18 years old and ready to start college at U.C. San Diego. What a show. I think there was some group called Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys that played before Jimi but I could be wronged. Unfortunately my idol died shortly after this concert but I can tell my kids as well as my college students that I saw Jimi Hendrix live in concert.

When he played with teeth it wasn't like you or I might make a plucky sound or something it was more like he was wailing and doing those things only Hendrix could do and it continued like you wouldn't believe even with his teeth. Unreal!

thats true. i read he had to learn to play right handed when he was learning, because his dad was there and he wasn't aloud to play lefty in from of his dad for religious reasons. he was dominant lefty though.
