Hmm... my schnauzer was easy to house break we left a little mat in the kitchen for him to do his job on and, we took him and told him to sit at the door every half an hour, before we let him out. And we wouldn't let him go back in until he did his job. Now he just sits at the door and waits until we let him out. Then we let him come back in once his little head pops up in the door's window.

I never had success with the mat or paper training! Seemed too easy for them to make a "mistake" and go on the first peice of paper they'd see! LOL Glad you had better luck than I did!

schnauzers are great :) i just got one a week ago and i love him. Was yours easy to housebreak? and how did you do it?

Congrats on your Schnauzer!!! Yeah! Love the breed! I've NEVER had a problem housebreaking any Schnauzer. We always crate train. I'll PM you, its really easy.
